“God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
This verse shows that God loves you and created you for a life that is full and meaningful (John 10:10)!
Why is it that most people are not experiencing this abundant life? Because all of us sin, and our sin has separated us from God (Romans 3:23).
We were created to have fellowship with God, but because of our stubborn self-will, we chose to go our own way, and our fellowship with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is what the Bible calls sin.
“The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Death is spiritual separation from God.
God is holy and people are sinful, and a great gulf separates us. We are continually trying to reach God and the abundant life through our own efforts, such as a good life, philosophy, or religion - but we fail.
Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our sin. Through Him we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives! Jesus died in our place (Romans 5:8), rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3-6), and is the only way to God (John 14:6). God has bridged the gulf that separates us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins.
We must individually receive Jesus Christ through faith as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives (Ephesians 2:8-9). When we receive Christ, we experience a new birth.
Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him” (Revelation 3:20).
Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for your sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. You receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will.
You can receive Christ right now by faith through prayer.
Prayer is talking to God. God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. Here is a suggested prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.”
If this prayer expresses the desire of your heart, then you can pray this prayer right now and Christ will come into your life, as He promised.

The fact that demons are afraid of the abyss says it all
And they were never in the flesh or had souls. So yea says a very lot .
I mean even if demons are afraid of the abyss. I can't imagine how we would feel if we somehow get into the abyss too

It is a place of true darkness, filled with wailing of sorrow and gnashing of teeth. A place where thirst is never quenched and hunger never satisfied. As far below the earth as earth is from Heaven

I am ex athiest. I used to mock christians and say it was all just a fairy tale to help people die in peace. Until i overdosed and stood before Jesus. His face is as bright as the sun. I couldnt see any details of his face but i could see his arms were held out like to hug me and they were a dark tan color, not white or black. Which makes sence remembering he was born as a jew in the middle east desert!! When he held out his arms the light got brighter and i felt so much love and peace and raw power that i cant even find the right words to describe them. Jesus is God in the flesh. God is a trinity. All power the father has Jesus also has. He has existed with the father since before the earths creation.
Even jesus had mercy on the demon, i can't believe how much mercy and love he had for us
I thought the same. Jesus didn't only forgive the soldiers and the mob who had him crucified during his crucifixion.
But he also forgave demons. That's not human behavior. No normal man or woman is that forgiving and loving.

Who told you he forgave them? He rooted them out of their dominion, destroyed their works in that territory, and at the end of the world, he is going to throw those demons in the lake of fire to burn for eternity. There is no forgiveness for demons.

For many years I had an unclean and or evil spirit in me. I would see it leave me at night right before I drifted off to sleep. It was very midnight dark and horrible.

I was into witch craft in school - began at age 14. I did séances and Ouija boards with my friends. Then, the devil started chasing me in my dreams. I would stay awake as often as I could just so I didn't have to go to sleep. This wen on even until I was married... 13 years! A lady came to our church and prayed the blood of Jesus over me and over my life. I praise God because I have not had bad dreams, nor do I feel any threats from the devil. he has NO hold on me! Praise the Lord, Jesus Christ, forever and ever!
This man in the Bible went on to glorify God the rest of his life . Saved from a legion of demons.

One thing I learned about this lesson was that Jesus was killing two birds with one stone because Pig farming was illegal so he gets rid of the Demons setting a man free and he gets rid of an illegal operation at the same time thank you Jesus

Amazing. After he was cleansed he wanted to go with Jesus because of what he did for him, and also because he knew if he was with Jesus the demons would not come back to torment him again. But Jesus tells him to go home, because he was a gentile and he can be one of the gentiles to bridge the gap between Jew and gentile. Introduce Jesus to the gentiles. Also, Jesus telling him to go home was also telling him: “you don’t need me to be physically near you to keep the demons away.” Because 1. Jesus had exercised his authority, which no demon can overcome ever, and 2. Jesus is always with him.

I'm truly happy for the man delivered from legion, I hope to meet him in Heaven one day. Why did pigs get sacrificed?
Good question. If you look at the situation, I'm sure the people of the town and those two guys have heard about this demoniac or might even know him. The Bible says in Mark 5:3 that the man "had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no not with chains:" so he'd been bound with chains and he would always break free vs 5 also says "And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying and cutting himself with stones." So when Jesus came to save him. A usual response should be joy that someone has been freed but their response shows otherwise. They were so caught up in the business of this world and money that they shooed Jesus away rather than welcome Him. Such is life. For example if my friend sand I like to party and I meet Jesus, I would want to stop going out with them because Jesus doesn't like that. But when I do that, they will probably ridicule me and dislike me. Such is the kingdom of God. When you sacrifice something for the Kingdom of God, the devil gets mad but we thank God Jesus has authority of all! Sorry this is long.
