Another excellent presentation. I'm up to 3 razors now having discovered SN in January and considering what the 4th will be. The geography of the razor blades is interesting, crazy how geopolitics can get in your face every morning....
Bought this beautiful little razor the other day. Absolute bargain for what it is and gives a glassy finish even with the mild Derby extra blades I use in it. Honestly so good!
After watching your review I ordered this beauty and honestly it's the first razor I own that shaves that close. A lot of blade feel to it but it does a great job on my tough beard. Used an astra green blade in it, but I think I might even try a more aggressive blade in it. All in all an amazing razor! Both visually and performance-wise. And as always, great presentation by the almighty Geo. Respect!!!
Hi Geo- Great shave and razor review; thank you! Beautiful-looking razor! I don’t have a slant bar razor, but this could be my first, with the solid bar. Have a great weekend and be safe and be well. Best regards, as always, Geo!
I watched your video on rinsing the razor with cold water, I’m glad you’re still doing that. I will never rinse my razor with hot hot water again. Great video by the way. That’s a strange look razor, I’ve seen them, but this is the first video I’ve seen someone actually use one. Great video, keep up the great work.👍🏻👍🏻
The last FATIP I bought went to the bin after trying to contact FATIP five times to get an issue resolved, 4 times via the FATIP contact page and one time via Instagram. I never got a response via the contact page and a "not my department" response via Instagram. That is the worst case of customer "care" I have ever experienced in my 57 years. The problem that needed fixing was piss poor workmanship that made the razor unusable. A simple fix with a replacement base plate that I was even happy to pay for. But FATIP basically said you are only a customer so f**k you, more or less. Never again. Poor quality "artisan" products and a terrible attitude that is rarely encountered these days.

The Lo Storto Originale is my favorite razor. I was very sceptical before I used it for the first time, because of the small handle. But it has a good weight and fits perfectly in my hands.
@@geofatboy I’ve been wet shaving for only three years and unfortunately haven’t tried many products, but Astra (green) and Feather are my go to blades and I really love both of them. This is my favorite razor to use, I love how it shaves 2-3 days of growth like a hot knife through butter. Although I am not brave enough to load it up with a Feather blade.
Hey Geo. Nice razor demo with the FaTip slant. I own the chrome one and love it now that I have gotten use to its. It seems to do best with a multi-days growth. Not for the beginner IMO. Take care and be safe.
Hi thank you for this I love my 37c merkur slant i have a parker adjustable open comb muhle r41, i have to be careful with for sure I would like to add couple of slants how is this fatib open comb compared to 37C and what would your recommend in order to add to my lonely 37c slant? cheers
Geo💈🪒💈 Nice shave with the Fatip, took off the growth no problem. Don't see too many videos of Fatip razors, used to years ago but not lately. Refreshing to see them showcased again. Right now I'm guilty of not owning one given the aggressive nature of the brand but that may change shortly. Great demo and review, well done, thanks. See ya next time. Enjoy!
Hey Geo, love the videos! I had a question about blade alignment on this razor. It looks like there are people who say aligning the blade to the top cap is right, and others saying this razor should be aligned to the comb. I understand that some slants are made to be aligned differently. Previously I had a Razorock German 37 slant which just would not align right, the left side of the blade always had more exposure, and the slanted right side barely showed anything. Wanted to hear your thoughts on what you feel is the right way to align it!
Geo, I miss seeing your stock of supplies on shelves ready to pick and ship to your customers. Perhaps you can shoot an occasional video with that as your background like you did in your earlier videos. Stacks of supplies neatly on display have their own appeal.
Yeah Fatip make some great and very affordable razors. I have the Piccolo and Grande (same head, just different handle) and those are very good, in terms of aggressiveness similar to the R41 I thought about buying the Lo Storto, as the only slant I have is the Razorock german 37, which is fine, but I like having a variety of razors to choose from.
I like Fatip razors. I have the Lo Storto as well as a Picolo handled special edition (which is a great razor but too small of a handle) and a few of the wood handled razors. All are very nice, but the wood handles are exceptionally nice feel.
I just got mine yesterday, and had a shave with TOBS grapefruit and Trafalgar T2. Not sure if I would call it aggressive, but very efficient while still being gentle to the skin. I'm curious how the Fatip would compare against something like a Merkur 37c
I have the Merkur 39c and the Lo Storto Originale. I wouldn't call them both aggressive. The Lo Storto is more efficient, you are done after two passes. With the 39c you definitely need 3 passes and pick ups. Like all slantbar razors, it's best to pair them with a carbon steel blade like Astra green or Treet black beauty. Stainless blades are too stiff and you will easily get nicks.
@@frankseyen9156 Thanks for the answer! I actually paired the Fatip with a Treet Falcon (coated carbon steel), and it was a very good combination for me. I have some black beauties too, I'll definetly try them in the slant.

I have 4 slantbar Razors that I have used so far. The Parker 55SL is very aggressive. The Lo Storto and the Windrose are medium aggressive, the Li Storto can handle longer Hair better. The the Windrose is a great razor, you can choose from lots of different handles. But the head cloggs if you try to shave a 1 week old beard. The Merkur 39c is very mild. If you are daily shaving then go with the Lo Storto. If you want your shaving done in less than 5 minutes without being extra carefully, then this or the Windrose is your shaver. If you want something more aggressive, go with the Parker. I have 3 other historic German slant razors, but they are NOS and I want to keep it that way. Those are collectors items to me.
