Awesome video and project. I got my 5 speed swap all sorted. No engine lights, no high speed fan. It comes on when you use the air like it should. Looking forward to the tune video.
Everything looks do-able to me except the intake manifold, aluminum welding is very difficult. Great work love you kept it under the hood. Thanks for showing the tuning software in the previous video, it's how i found your channel in the first place.
I absolutely love this series and am very greatful how in depth you went with every aspect of the build, im very excited to see the metrics once it is tuned I can’t find any other videos related to this build, do you intend on doing a part 7B?
@@shanedemink5769 thanks for the interest. there are some other videos on the channel about this car and build and tuning if you look around the channel . I also have a water methanol injection build series I can re-release for this car proving intake air temp cooling with using just washer fluid. Yes I do plan on releasing more videos regarding tuning and a visit to the track to get results to compare with the pre supercharger times to see how much time we improved by. I have footage I’ve recorded since these videos were recorded. I recorded this video in 2022. And have moved onto other projects. But it’s still on my to do list and am still driving the car as my daily driver.
I'm just curious as to why you made an adapter plate instead just bolting the blower to the modified intake and get more hood clearance . also I think I would have made a fabricated u turn block for the throttle body to gain more clearance . wonderful build , great job . I'm doing something similar . i have a 96 Lincoln mkv111 32 valve aluminum 4.6 and i found a m122 blower of a gt500 mustang . im using a 96 cobra lower intake with a plate on top like you did .
@@wuddywoodpecker64 because the lower intake 6 inch wide pocket I milled was too narrow to fit the bolt pattern of the supercharger. Meaning the lower intake is narrower than the supercharger is. So nothing to bolt to.
Awesome! I will be expanding my cnc machine to be able to make similar plates and I should be attempting this soon. Cant wait to see more. Have you ever considered running a hose from the air intake to the interior for more blower noise? Could be cool but I don’t know if it works with this setup.
Nice job ! What size pulley you have on now? 4 inch?? What kind of Boost you are looking for, 8-10 ?? And, one more thing: You need headers, absolutely, those old exhaust manifold s are ristricting, a lot!!! And, I have same programmer , Tuner, SCT, are you planning to tune it with that ?? Thanks =), Greetings from hot South Florida, 98 F today;o)
@@Eeropolvasti yes headers would be ideal. But i didn’t want to risk snapping exhaust bolts off in the head. And fighting with that. My goal was 5 PSI. I am getting 7. Watch the video series. All pulley sizes are covered. Yes I tuned it myself using SCT software and X4
That was A LOT of hassle for the EGR valve. Why not just remove it? Ohm the IAT if you're T'ing off the sensor, make sure it's not compounding. I'd suggest methanol injection but I think that goes without saying. What rear gear are you running? Intake design really doesn't matter when you're shoving air in! (Especially a PD blower!

Wow - that was a crap ton of work for a 10.4x 1/8th mile e.t. (low 16 second 1/4 mile). It sounds good, but the performance not so much. Good luck, I hope you can figure it out.
@@Thomas63r2 no. The video ends with me explaining that the car needs to be tuned. It would not be a good idea to take the car to a drag strip without tuning the computer.
