Same. I’m 24 and my mother passed 2months ago. Pancreatic Cancer. Unfortunately I’ll never get to share these moments of moving into my first place with her because I stayed home to take care of her. But I wouldn’t trade the time we had for anything in the world. Cherish it Jayla. I can tell you do.
Same I just lost my mom in November and I cherish every moment that I did spend with her, so I hope Jayla and her mom continue to grow closer. You never realize what you have until it actually is gone.
Jayla is literally one of the most realist /realistic youtubers. She doesn't show off, she shows us what we like, she doesn't give a fuck about the comments, she will go off on Snapchat on the rude people lol. I just love her now, because I did have to get use to her. It since I been which I think has almost been 2 years she s been her self she's has definitely leveled up! Grown up! She shares her struggles and what she goes through when she can and just comes off as an honest and just a regular human being!!! Love her!!
Jayla, why don't you buy a few more panels and, move them a little closer together. It will block the people from being able to look into your apartment but, still keep the sheer elegance of your room.

Josie Actually, My sister has the same kind of windows and brought custom made blinds from home depot .And then you can put the panels over it .You can't even realize the sun is out when you close it..unless you leave it slightly open or just opened..lol
Yes Jayla continue to build that relationship with your mother! A mothers love is one of the best things in the world! I'm so grateful that I was able to have the relationship I did with my mother, yet I regret certain things! You have the opportunity to have a relationship with no regrets! My mommy passed away in February of this year!

I love how honest you are. Last video you asked your dad for a TV for a house warming gift and it surprised me. Most youtubers like to make it a known fact that their parents don't give them a penny. Like ok we get it. 🙄🙄 But you left it in there, and we know you're working hard and doing it on you're own but you don't say it every five seconds. Like wow I feel like just yesterday I was watching her, Raquel and MiMi going to a Halloween. party, her pool dancing, graduating college and her always eatting pig skin's lol do they even have that where she stays. Its amazing to see a young beautiful woman who decided just to go for her dream's with only her best interest in mind. Hi : Jayla. Here are some tips. Get the 311 app and alternate side parking app . These save your life. Don't for get to pay the ticket in ten days , or the fee will increase. Buy the spray paint for your mirror. Get a welcome mat for your front door. Get wood cleaner for your floors. Kept lysoil spray for your couch after company. You may need blackout curtains for your bedroom. Steam clean your couch every six months, Handheld from overstock. Give your mom extra keys for emergencies. Get the patio set and some plants. Jayla, try not to rush the decorating process. When I first moved to the city I went crazy buying everything I seen in furniture stores - trying to make my apartment feel "homey" and look cute. A couple months later I started returning items.. a year later I wanted to throw everything out and redecorate lol. Take your time doing research (stalking pintrest ideas) & it'll all come together little by little. Most of all, have fun with it. Xo
Two small foldable chairs and a plant for the balcony. You don't need a table. The chairs will be used because I know you'll want to sit out there one day and chill or one night with a glass of wine.

love you & your moms relationship! i was the same as a teenager with mine. it wasn't until i went away for college that we really developed our relationship. we literally spoke everyday on the phone! sadly she passed this june from cancer. to everyone out there with not the best relationships with their mom, or any loved one for that matter, PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE TIME YOU HAVE WITH THEM, and BUILD! it's never too late!
No - for the set for the balcony, you can put a nice plant out there and get a fold up chair that you can place in the closet for when you're ready to use it.. The space looks small and the chairs would have to be facing each other for leg room. Also white will get rusty and it snows and rains a lot more than it is sunny! I love how the space in coming along, if you can't find a throw some nice decorative pillows would give a nice contrast and bring in the colors from the painting!
Jayla you're living my dream! I just graduated from my HBCU with a communications degree and all I want to do is live in New York! You set your mind to it and you did it! Though are paths aren't the same I'm so inspired to follow my dreams and just put in the extra extra work to try to live in New York! Keep showing your journey and keep being you and keep shining. Hi Jayla...I'm so proud of you! I wanted to comment on the balcony furniture - I personally would say no to it because the space is so narrow already that anything placed there seems forced and its a more elegant and smarter look to me with it bare.
Its beautiful that you have a strong bond with your mom. My mom passed away from cancer last December, we were very close, I miss her dearly. Keep that strong bond, God bless.
Even though it sounds weird I would look into getting some sort of outdoor bar stools that are slim so you could sit but actually see over the balcony and maybe add a few plants.

My car was perfect when I first moved to NY after two years my car is still scratched and dinged up. The do not care about anyone else's car there. You make a good choice. If you want your car to stay in good condition AND not worry about moving your car every other day, which will get annoying quick, a parking garage was a great choice.
I say no to the balcony set, you don't want it to cluttered out there especially since it is so narrow. I say add a stool and a plant out there if you want something on your balcony. Cute names for your future fish and I agree that when you are living alone, it is so therapeutic to talk to a pet and have another living thing with you be it plants or animals. But I can't wait for your complete apartment tour!
