Flat Reef Knot

Short tails at the end of your carry? Maybe you don't like the pressure from the double knot. There is a great non-ring finish alternative to that. The Flat Reef Knot holds securely, almost tighter than the standard square knot we usually tie. This knot uses less wrap so it is great at the end when your shorter tails won't let you get in a good double knot, finishing smaller than the usual double knot. The best part is that it is genuinely flat and very tidy. It rests flat against your belly, back, or even your shoulder. We've done this one at a slower speed so you can follow along.
