Wow. Unlike a lot of the comments here I am impressed. I like how the rooms are different to each other and they all look so fancy and comfortable. Would love to stay there one day...
Looks more like a updated Victorian brothel with its unnecessary clutter. All that's missing are the elegant young ladies in long swishing dresses and the elegant older men.
Thank you for the kind words you speak about the town i call home. Love to see the inside of the building i've seen from the outside my whole life too, but can't affort to watch the inside of. ;-)
Last time I was this early, I was having dinner and smoking in the Etihad's First Class Lounge in Abu Dhabi. I could get into the Roman style bathroom, but hotel feel almost too extravagant. I don't even want to think how much went into the building and designing of the suites in it.
I thought this hotel was overly complicated, gaudy at times, and actually lacked comfort. It is lovely, and service is amazing so that is truly what you pay for in a luxury hotel, but I just did not like the style.
I agree. I thought the decor, esp in the suite was a little gaudy also. I thought there was too much going on, esp on the walls. The bathroom was a welcome respite though. Busy place Amsterdam 🙂
Nothing special but tacky and very common to our Indonesian standards, it's very poor cold and dusty Europe after all. Cannot imagine how many rats under the buildings will pop out like I had witnessed in Pathé Tuschinski and Sofitel Legend Amsterdam. Just learn how poor and filthy The Netherlands was without Indonesia. And they still are poor, cold and arrogant for nothingness, it's just their ungrateful very poor nature.
Looks nice but if you want to stay on the Dam I suggest the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky. If you don't mind the short walk down the Damrak and you want to save more guilders for krokets and herring try the Multatuli on Prins Henrikkade
I love the style and the color palettes! I thought it was just right, not too gaudy but not too casual, just what you want from a 5-star luxury hotel. I especially like the suite that you stayed in, Dr. The historic architecture is beautiful! I would love to stay there. Never been to Amsterdam before, but would love to go. Thanks for another great video.
Another amazing video! You never disappoint. Tranquil and relaxing. I can’t wait to visit Amsterdam and perhaps stay at this fine hotel. Which room was your favorite?
We just made a video about the suite you have in the thumbnail - the Rooftop Stage Suite. It is an incredible hotel, truly magical experience. We actually found it because we saw your video😄🙏🏼
Interesting. I have visited Amsterdam although never this hotel. Your comment regarding Highland Park 40 intrigues me. I am Scottish and lived and worked in Orkney and know the Highland Park distillery in Kirkwall well, but I have never heard of their 40 year old whisky. I find their produce too bland. If you want to try a true Scottish whisky I would suggest you try Ardbeg 10yo from the Isle of Islay. It's an acquired taste, but it's worth it!
Visited Amsterdam in 2018. Went to a concert and the trip was four days. But we missed one day, because we went to the wrong gate and until we realized it we rushed to the other side of the airport but the b 737 800 of Transavia was already pushing back. But fortunately the next morning we found a flight through Athens on an Aegean a 321 and to Schipol on an a 320.
Wow they supply lalique for there guest's my favourite beautiful hotel I want to stay their just for the lalique gift box alone Lol great video as always thank you💜 personally I prefer room service always and this hotel offers the perfect room service .💕
Great review as always. I have a friend who lives in Amsterdam. Just found a nice place to stay during my visit. Must have the terrace suite. Did you visit the coffee shops Dr.?
It's always a pressure to watch these luxurious hotels/ resorts, however, I find this one very overwhelming with the decorations. It's as if the place has for some reasons of staying in the place rather than holidays. Nevertheless, amazing and colourful place.
Near the seediest street in the "wrong side" of town going to the red-light district, it looks stuffy, overstyled and cramped next to W (amazing Spa in a bank vault, rooftop terrace and pool, bar, restaurants, luxe burger joint, design shop, juice bar and in the right part of town with a true canal view near the 9 streets) and Conservatorium (amazing gym and spa, close to museums and luxury shopping) both at half the cost. The 6-star claim for so few features except overpriced furniture and art is a joke!
The CONTENT ,VIDEO captured is so beautiful , it would be Ideal and Great if captured in 2160p Resolution / 4K mode , which is very common these days . IF 4K VIDEOS IMPLEMENTED IT WOULD BE AWESOME !! 360 Degree camera if used would also be great for some captures !
Didn't like this hotel, for some reason the place left me feeling itchy and chlostrobhobic... Only room that didn't was the Hepburn purple one. I have no doubt that the people who stay there get an excellent experience though.
Depends on your preferences. Hotel TwentySeven has the most exclusive suites in town, and a world-class restaurant. The W Hotel, which is just around the corner, has less impressive rooms & restaurants, but more facilities (e.g. spa, lounge, rooftop, etc ...).
I always think he must say ahead of time for them not to look. But they sometimes will nod hello and smile at him. He has also mentioned that there can be many "takes" to get a perfect seamless shot.
I’m sure he discusses it with the staff first, explaining that he is doing a travel/review video and asking them to just act naturally and not look at the camera.
I always like your reviews but this Hotel is not my thing, the Ritz in Paris is far more spacious and the colors more light. Here all is dark and over the Top. Important there isn't nothing wrong with your filming but all has to do with the Hotel itself.
Price range per night per person: 400-3700 EUR - his room category was the cheapest. So I guess this isn't sponsored by the hotel and paid either by an employer or by youtube ad money and possibly a heritage.
I have not looked through all the comments and I know this comment is way past it’s sell by date, but Amsterdam is NOT the capital of Holland . The Hague is the capital.
this hotel is tiny but cute...very nice, the suit looks nice but i'm not a fan of that kind of head board at all, storage compartments look rather neat, and very impressive bathroom area, the lobby is quite nice as well
Out of business in 3 years. Sooner if the markets collapse. Should be 1 year, but the owner has other businesses to subsidize this vanity project. Anyone with the poor taste to have built it in the first place will let the venture collapse before they'll admit that their "vision" can't command a premium over the market value.
Thanks for another fine vid, Dr. LTE, but if I'm going to stay in a dark and foreboding hotel I'd rather it be in London, with quaint portraits of ladies and gentlemen of the 18th century on the walls--lol. The strawberries and chocolates were nice, but no eggs bene on the breakfast menu? Shameful.
The new Amsterdam city council does not like tourists and tries to tax the max out of them. Maybe not a problem if you can afford to stay in hotels like these. They still pester tourists in other ways like they removed the loved IAMSTERDAM sign in front of the Rijksmuseum because it was "too indivualistic" and the council wants to present a more collectivist image.
This hotel is testament to the fact that exclusivity and uniqueness are not necessarily good things. There is no coherence to the design. There is very little style. It all _looks_ cheap and chintzy -- doesn't matter what it costs.
Wow. Unlike a lot of the comments here I am impressed. I like how the rooms are different to each other and they all look so fancy and comfortable. Would love to stay there one day...
It is Cozy, Unique in a dungeon sense of style.
These videos are so relaxing...
At 11 mins into the video, you gave the perfect answer to my question concerning the room noise - quadruple glass panes! Perfect! 👍🏼
That was lovely. I love how tranquil your videos are.
Looks more like a updated Victorian brothel with its unnecessary clutter. All that's missing are the elegant young ladies in long swishing dresses and the elegant older men.
As always another great video and wonderful tour of beautiful Amsterdam... Thank you so much!!!! Cheers!!!!
Thank you for the kind words you speak about the town i call home.
Love to see the inside of the building i've seen from the outside my whole life too, but can't affort to watch the inside of. ;-)
love how bold the design is... just like Amsterdam ;)
Once again, another lovely video!
As always, sensitive, well shot and researched. Thanks.
Last time I was this early, I was having dinner and smoking in the Etihad's First Class Lounge in Abu Dhabi.
I could get into the Roman style bathroom, but hotel feel almost too extravagant. I don't even want to think how much went into the building and designing of the suites in it.
Amazing video! Beautiful photography of lovely Amsterdam. What an amazing hotel.
Thank you !!!
Oooo love the marble bathtub. Great video!
Thankyou for these video's.
I watch 2 before bed and they are extra relaxing. Like a form of meditation. Thankyou.
Glad you like them!
I thought this hotel was overly complicated, gaudy at times, and actually lacked comfort. It is lovely, and service is amazing so that is truly what you pay for in a luxury hotel, but I just did not like the style.
I could not agree more. Not a timeless style at all.
I think the style is pretty unique.
I agree. I thought the decor, esp in the suite was a little gaudy also. I thought there was too much going on, esp on the walls. The bathroom was a welcome respite though. Busy place Amsterdam 🙂
You have to admit it is Cozy unlike those overly large American and Chinese hotels.
Very Nice! Now that I’ve ‘been there, done that, thanks to you’ ... Looking forward to your next! Thank you as always for sharing with ‘US’.
That building is magnificent! Hotel isn't bad either! Thank you once again!
Looks nice but if you want to stay on the Dam I suggest the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky. If you don't mind the short walk down the Damrak and you want to save more guilders for krokets and herring try the Multatuli on Prins Henrikkade

Amazing place!!💕💕🍀 Thank you for sharing this excellent video!!💜
Hotel ambience superb awesome video
Thank you for the video! This hotel looks so confortable and warm, loved it!
Another amazing video! You never disappoint. Tranquil and relaxing. I can’t wait to visit Amsterdam and perhaps stay at this fine hotel. Which room was your favorite?
A very nice video, congratulations
thx

I visited Amsterdam in 2011 & 2017 . It's lovely city.

If only Liberace had lived to see this.
Way too small, dark, and claustrophobic for Lee--haha.
Visited Amsterdam in 2018. Went to a concert and the trip was four days. very nice hotel review.
So many credits for almost every object in sight! Maybe I missed it, but who makes the toilets?
What's he music playing in the background of the video? I like it alot.
The music is from Musicbed
So so beautiful. Lovely. 😇🌞🙏🙌✌😎🌍
Elegante Hotel.muy buen video !!! Gracias!!!!!
A marvellous place in a phenomenal city. The world needs Amsterdam, as it does Tokyo & Copenhagen...as it does Buenos Aires.
PS: And what about any noise from the hourly bell ringing from nearby bell towers in churches, etc?
The New Church on the Dam is a secular building now and houses art, culture and museum exhibits. If you want church bells go to Brussels
Just beautiful😇🙌💛
Impressive indeed. 🙏🙌😇😎🌞🌍✌
Its elegant but.......kinda cold. especially after watching all those Aman resorts.
Warm in its own way
stunning!
Great video! Today is my 21st birthday!!!
Congrats :-)
Lovely building
Unique color and design.
Wow they supply lalique for there guest's my favourite beautiful hotel I want to stay their just for the lalique gift box alone Lol great video as always thank you💜 personally I prefer room service always and this hotel offers the perfect room service .💕
Hi, as always another great video. Do they have a spa? Do they have a gym? Do they have a pool? How does the hotel compare to W Amsterdam?
I previously published a clip of the W Amsterdam: ruclips.net/video/vI9f0Mt96_0/видео.html
Great review as always. I have a friend who lives in Amsterdam. Just found a nice place to stay during my visit. Must have the terrace suite.
Did you visit the coffee shops Dr.?
I didn't, at least not on this visit ;-)
Damn this hotel is gorgeous!
I have good PC and good monitor..so 4k video is more good to me..why don't you upload 4k quality..
That's soooo suffocating.. much like a fancy dungeon.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
In a strange way it appeals to me. Dutch have their own dungeon sense of style. Like the Swedes have their minimalist signature

"BEAUTIFUL..!!" 👍❤

I love this kind of hotel, not too big but with style
Why didn’t you show the most beautiful suite in the tower? If you ask me its the most beautiful room in the hotel.
I'd hate to see what a small room looks like in Amsterdam. This hotel is gorgeous. I love the wallpaper and art on the wall.
Que lindo hotel y cuidad 😃
Great¡¡ thanks for share
Didn't like this hotel, for some reason the place left me feeling itchy and chlostrobhobic... Only room that didn't was the Hepburn purple one. I have no doubt that the people who stay there get an excellent experience though.
I wasn't impressed either. Imagine trying to sleep with those two huge heads with LV lips on the wall LOL
Fantastic Forever ☆
Amazing... super ♡
Nice , recommend this over the W Amsterdam?

thank you, I remember you went to the W Amsterdam and planning a trip there this winter! keep up your amazing videos!
Beautiful
Hi, have a question for you, do you have any tips how to make the hotel staff is not looking at you while you recording?
Perhaps he has the permission to record
very good question...
I always think he must say ahead of time for them not to look. But they sometimes will nod hello and smile at him. He has also mentioned that there can be many "takes" to get a perfect seamless shot.
I’m sure he discusses it with the staff first, explaining that he is doing a travel/review video and asking them to just act naturally and not look at the camera.
makes a good location for a vampire movie
12:38 - RIP Red Suitcase.
Why 27? I would love to stay at this hotel.
a piece of art!!!!👌
What’s the opening music?
a leisurely country!
Beautiful.
The music when you were showing the hotel was way too dramatic
My favorite place to go but I do have family there so...
Nice 😎😎😎😎😎
I kinda like it... for some reason it gives me a “Golden Age” vibe.
Very sophisticated. I will need to visit. Uber- stylish.
I always like your reviews but this Hotel is not my thing, the Ritz in Paris is far more spacious and the colors more light. Here all is dark and over the Top. Important there isn't nothing wrong with your filming but all has to do with the Hotel itself.
Where is Krasnopolsky now?
A few blocks from Hotel TwentySeven
A stylized baroque :)
It is Nobilis and not Nobils

멋지네요~~🤣
nice hotel
14:04 I cannot sleep comfortably with more than two pillows. Who on earth needs so many pillows?
I have not looked through all the comments and I know this comment is way past it’s sell by date, but Amsterdam is NOT the capital of Holland . The Hague is the capital.
What !! No eggs benedict this time
I thought that was your favorite dish for breakfast.
Is it dog friendly?
Have a joint and chill out in this luxury...That's the life
this hotel is tiny but cute...very nice, the suit looks nice but i'm not a fan of that kind of head board at all, storage compartments look rather neat, and very impressive bathroom area, the lobby is quite nice as well
thx, bro, for your kind comment, as always ;-)
@@luxurytravelexpert yup yup No Problem, i always love your content..please come to the caribbean or my island Trinidad...see you soon

There were no eggs benedict indeed. An unpleasant surprise ;-)
I really like your videos but Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands, not Dutch! That would be "Kopenhagen"
There is much, too much (?) going on in the decoration department. I am more into an minimalistic style. But it's a question of a personal taste.
Lovely video but... as always, you put too many annotations, unnecessary ones.
less is more.
