@Tarek Jabal woah, easy there buddy; greed is nothing to do with race, it's to do with an individual's core morals and ethics. Corruption exists across the board - look at the wealthiest 1% in the world.

The mountain at 2:05 is actually in neighbouring Cameroon. it is the tallest peak in central africa. I have been to it's summit 3 times and from there at night you have a beautiful view of Malabo where drew is filming from 🙂
This video is in no way informative. Having traveled extensively in this country, I can tell you this video is crap. Expensive? A hotel in that country costs 9 american dollars and a full meal costs about 1 dollar. It is one of the cheapest countries I have been to (and I have been to many). This idiot stayed with some "friendly" locals who apparently cheated him out of a lot of money. But then by just seeing how he carries himself, can you expect anything less from this idiot?
Hola!
Loco. Muy loco.

Expensive? I was there in July (also visiting all the countries in the world) and found it to be very cheap. Only cost $9 a night for a hotel. However this guy stayed in a very nice hotel. @M. P. Oh nice! Yeah, I would say the same, basically traditional face painting. If you were Bubi you would have white spots over your face, nipa palm leaves covering your body and this was generally accompanied by traditional ceremonial dances, either to welcome someone, venerate someone, or spiritual protection from evil forces, as witchcraft is a bit of a thing still there, though it is slowly dying out, as people have better things to do with their life than try to harm their neighbours or try to get rich quickly

Amazing you learnt Spanish and not trying to put you down, as your Spanish seems pretty good, and like I said learning foreign languages (especially for us lazy native English speakers is a good thing for sure ) but anyway the point of this is if you use a collective noun such as pueblo or in this case gente then the conjugation should be third person singular not collective, so I this case present form hablar, would be la gente habla español not hablan, feel like any kind of correction like this comes off to so many people as hate, but as a native English speaker who speaks pretty much fluent Spanish and moderately advanced Russian I personally appreciate corrections as useful! Hope you do to love the content!

@@midnitkisser As opposed to being a slave of Spain like they once were? The US at least granted them their own sovereignty whereas Spain ran the entire nation as a plantation and would have never given the filipinos freedom had they not been humiliated in the Spanish-American War and lost the archipelago along with Cuba and Puerto Rico. Spain also brought racism that the country is struggling to recover from even today where lighter filipinos are preferred on television (to this day women wear gigantic hats and wear long sleeves lest they catch a tan) and the darker people are mocked. @Aaron9 don't just say African as if we are one people. Different countries have different governments and they're not all the same
The government isn't supposed to take care of people. It is supposed to defend their rights. They are failing at that!
@@aphr0d Don't worry. We know that Africa is a continent and has several different countries, religions, languages, foods, and ethnicities. I mean, I don't expect her to name each country and ethnicity individually. It's a given that not every individual element is going to be the same when people make general statements like that.
While African countries blame the west for stealing their welth , African leaders are robbing Africa while their ppl look to the west to blame.

Buena pronunciación Drew, 5:21 bonito😊😊
Hi Drew! I'm surprised you made it all the way to Equatorial Guinea. I lived with my family in Malabo for a total of 16 years, I taught a lot of people English and yes it is a wonderful country in its own right. I left there in 2013 but have so many fond memories, from shortages of all kind to how we got our water, I also have many frineds who still reach out to me 7 years later. I know that guy who took you around Lucas, he works for one of the many the ministries. I remember all too well when the build the 50+ hotel complexes at what used to be the pristine beach of Sipopo. :) We are a big deal in certain circles, historically and economically and I can definately vouch for the fact that we have the best roads in the region, and I've been to Douala on a number of occasions. Hotel Sofitel is a stone's throw from were I used to live, next to the CCEI bank

I wonder how much of the interior parts of Guinea Equatorial did he visit? Most of MalaboDos is newly built and very clean compared to the older parts. Bata on the interior is also very clean for it's size. It has a high capital, but most of the people do not benefit from it.
Nice. Thank and it is my first time to know there is an African country they official language it is Spanish!. I hope after Covid-19,I can visited. But am not sure about the Visa for Saudi? . Thank you again for your Video . I almost watched 5 of your Video 👏👏👏👏
The first video about my country which is really true
Thank you so much for posting your awesome videos! Not only are they interesting and well done, but they are very educational as well! I appreciate the short videos but at the same time, they leave me wanting to watch more! My husband participates in Amazon Alexa's trivia game everyday. One day the question was, "In what African country is Spanish spoken?" I kept shouting the answer to my husband who decided to make his own guess....which ended up being wrong. Had I not watched your video I would not have know the answer either! So thank you and keep up the good work!!

It will be good if they'll bring back Spanish as an official language in the Philippines like Equitorial Guinea 😔
I know but your government sold their ass to the USA. Now you are like a pet or a backyard of the USA
@@midnitkisser Como si no pudiésemos decir lo mismo de toda Hispanoamérica.
The Philippines made more progress during the short time that they belonged to the US than under the centuries of oppression under Spain which also could have never defended the nation from the Japanese during WWII like America did. When China becomes aggressive towards the nations in the South China Sea in their quest for world domination the Philippines will be glad that they are a "backyard" of America and not a plantation of an impotent Spain.
@@SquidProQuo80 who gave you Catholicism? Not the USA. Who's going to take all your resources? Yes the USA. Who s going to build military bases on your territory? Yes the USA. Who s going to put you in danger making war in the middle East? Yes the USA. Your country would be free by now without USA intervention but now you will never get freedom from the nation leaded by pure evil , yes the USA.
there is one Spanish dialect called "Chavacano" still spoken by over one million people in the Philippines, but the Spanish language as vehicular language for the dozen ethnic groups in the islands was replaced by English after the American invasion...but Filipinos kept Spanish names, food (paella, for example) and cities like Manila and Zamboanga. In fact, the islands and the people are called so to honor the King of Spain Felipe II (Philipe II)

Like pretty much all of Africa, the poverty is primarily due to corruption
Exactly. Someone tried to say in another comment that Africa already sucked before the imperialism & did this to themselves. Like, wtf‽
As much as every other country...
Poverty in America is due to corruption too. And there is massive poverty, homelessness and debt in America, a country that spends nearly a trillion dollars a year on the military. Talk about a waste of resources to benefit a few weapons contractors. By right everyone in America should live in a mansion rent-free if the resources of the country were shared equitably.
Colonialism, and neo colonialism
