The Mount for me was a mixture of drama, hard work, blood and tears, and finally fun. I met some really amazing teachers and students. I also found some life long friendships as well. Overall, it was worth the four years going to this school.
I am a Mount Alumni class of 2019. I truly believe if I didn’t get involve in the CSD I wouldn’t have had a good experience. To upcoming freshman’s get involved! It’s always good to be apart of something.
the mount isn’t your typical “college” to say the very least, very small and not much to do, so to have the best experience if you do end up there is to make connections. The best part about the mount is the friends you’ll make , and definitely study abroad if u get the chance
Even though we were in the middle of nowhere, the Mount introduced me to some of my closest friends. Since it’s such a small school, the best experiences happen when you get involved or study abroad- I went to Spain last summer through the Mount which was one of my favorite college memories. 😊
Listening to your experiences from your freshmen year really put into perspective how welcoming the Mount can be. I did not participate in all of the activities you mentioned which I now regret. I think you bring a lot of informative points to what the Mount life and curriculum is like. Loved studying abroad with you in Prague 😉 and I definitely think you should dedicate a video on just your study abroad experience and how eye opening it can be for foreigners!!
The Mount is super welcoming that’s how that got us I believe lol. You were the best roommate! I’d love your input for a study abroad dedicated video 🥰
I think what I appreciate the most about my Mount experience is that I received a great education and still had an opportunity to get started in my career through work study. Also loved hanging out with friends and partying with them!
Going to Mount-ward Bound was one of the best decisions that I made at the Mount. I met friends early on, moved in early, and started my journey of activism!
Mount alumni here!! Great video Nia 💖. The mount is so small but I’ve managed to meet a fellow Mountie everywhere I go! It’s a big family. Wouldn’t be who I am today without the mount 💙💛
Congrats on graduating!! I just graduated too and got my MBA! Being French, I’m grateful I’ve been able to represent The Mount playing rugby. It helped me making friends and getting to know people, especially on campus. Even if there were some hectic moments, I only take the good from my two years, and being involved in the Office of Social Justice was something that fully completed my experience.
awe I love this sm💓 i graduate high school next year & I’m currently looking for colleges and allat so I do keep all of this in mind 💕 keep up the positive vibes boo and congratulations on graduating 🎉
I think it’s an interesting experience at The Mount. There’s a resource for most things but the search to find them is what makes it difficult. It’s a great school for students who are really adept at self-advocacy
Very informative and you described the Mount very well. It’s a great campus and it’s not overwhelming. There are lots of opportunities for a student to grow.
I am a Mount alumni class of 2020. The Mount is great when it comes to small class sizes and professors who want to see their students thrive. The social aspect of the Mount isn’t very fun if you aren’t Catholic or preppy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE NIA ❤️❤️❤️
I’m grateful for the experiences I was able to have with all the time I had on my hands at the mount. I’m grateful for the people I met and the ability to study abroad in Prague!! If you don’t create a great friend group or get involved or use that extra time to find yourself you may hate the mount if you’re only looking for a party school or your typical college experience. Don’t come If you’re looking to get super lit tho 😂
The Mount has its challenges since it’s a small conservative PWI but if you can make some really meaningful relationships because it’s so small. You have to be creative at a school like this 😂
Nice what did u go to school for and ur major. Also, what advice would u give someone who likes rooming alone? Isn't that more money tho? Nice video tho.
My degree is in business with a sociology minor. If you like rooming alone you can request it if you have certain accommodations or you just might get lucky! I believe having a single is more expensive depending on the school, not sure about the Mount.
Congratulations.. On graduating... I want to become a student of that institution...is it possible for international student to apply without confirmation from supervisor in ms.c..i m facing trouble in email... It’s taking long time to hear from them..plz answer my question.. Best of luck
Being that The Mount is a catholic institution there will be people who do not support the LGBTQ community, however, there are organizations such as PEACE that fight for inclusion on campus and a lot of students are very accepting and open minded.
i haven’t been to school since i graduated (2018) and i’ve been admitted to mount. I was wondering if you think the classes are hard ? i don’t want to spend $20k just to fail..
@@NiaG how hard was the math? i did really bad in high school w math, almost failed every year. do you think i could pass the math class there if i go to tutoring ? pls be honest 🥺💜

The Mount is definitely worth it all to me as well 🥰

I love CSD, your org ‘the voice’ hosted so many great events I hope others get to experience, I can see them winning org of the year very soon!

I completely agree!!

Study abroad is such a fulfilling experience! Getting involved in campus activities made the four years so much better for me.
This was a really nice video for students who have been there , going there or thinking about going there !

I already committed to the mount for class of 2024 but this was really helpful 😊 thank you
I wish you the best of luck! I hope you love it 😊
Going to Mount-ward Bound was one of the best decisions that I made at the Mount. I met friends early on, moved in early, and started my journey of activism!
I wish mountward bound was a bigger program, maybe it will grow in the future!

Honestly!!! It’s all about using your voice and seeking opportunity
Very informative and you described the Mount very well. It’s a great campus and it’s not overwhelming. There are lots of opportunities for a student to grow.
Thank you! The Mount has so many opportunities for students as long as people see them out 🤗
Our cheering days were so lit! Congratulations 🎉🎊 class of 2020💙

I LOVE LOVE LOVE NIA ❤️❤️❤️
I LOVE ELLEN!!! Small class sizes & helpful professors definitely were the BEST part of the Mount.
Im coming from a preppy neighbor called Timonium MD
Congratulations! 🎉 This is really helpful for incoming freshmen good job! ⭐
Glad you think so!
Your uni sounds so so different to mine! Love it !!

An overnight before hand is dope. You were actually in my area, how do you like the dmv
MD is nice, it’s a great place to grow up
i got accepted! not sure if i full want to go here since i got accepted other places, but i got a scholarship so everything is going good. :))
congratulations on graduating
ha I'd love to go to mount, i've seen many posters about it back in year 6, sadly my parents aren't that rich to afford a private/boarding school :(
They offer great scholarships so you should still apply ☺️
Yea I just got my acceptance to mount and it was a very large scholarship I got. I say go for it
Got accepted today, but I’m so nervous 😅
Lol, why are you nervous?
The Mount has its challenges since it’s a small conservative PWI but if you can make some really meaningful relationships because it’s so small. You have to be creative at a school like this 😂
Yes GET CREATIVE! Lol friendships made here mean so much to me bc we’re getting through the challenges together
*Cries in accepted student during COVID*
I’m so sorry :/

Thank you, it is possible. I knew a few international students. Admissions and the provost should be able to help. Who have you reached out to?
Would you consider The Mount LGBTQ+ friendly? Is it relatively safe for female students? I’d like to go there but these are some concerns I have.
Being that The Mount is a catholic institution there will be people who do not support the LGBTQ community, however, there are organizations such as PEACE that fight for inclusion on campus and a lot of students are very accepting and open minded.
So they have any football at this school
No they don’t :/
nice intro
I don’t have an intro
i haven’t been to school since i graduated (2018) and i’ve been admitted to mount. I was wondering if you think the classes are hard ? i don’t want to spend $20k just to fail..
It depends on what kind of student you are, most professors do their best to help each student succeed as long as you try and ask for help
@@NiaG how hard was the math? i did really bad in high school w math, almost failed every year. do you think i could pass the math class there if i go to tutoring ? pls be honest 🥺💜
The math is different but I talk about it in the video
Did join any frat
No frats! The university is very small and religious.
