  • Greetings fellow CJers, I bring forth to you the only solo stunning tutorial you will ever need. This tutorial will introduce simple concepts that will help improve your ability to solo stun consistently and efficiently in your CJs. All the clips in this video were taken in Toontown Rewritten.
    Timestamps:
    - 0:00 - Introduction
    - 0:23 - 5 Seconds
    - 0:34 - Travel Time
    - 1:08 - Mouse Keys
    - 1:59 - Timing VS Spamming
Travel Time is an important concept to understand when solo stunning. The longer it takes for your piece of evidence to reach the first cog you aim at, the better your time window is to hit the remaining cogs! Use this knowledge to your advantage when going for 9+ cog solo stuns.
Mouse Keys is a feature built into your Operating System (Windows or Mac), refer to the pinned comment for detailed instructions on how to enable mouse keys.
Timing VS Spamming is important in terms of efficiency and preference. While those two don't necessarily go hand in hand, you can prioritize one over the other. If spamming the keys ends up hurting your fingers, you should practice timing your throws. If timing your throws hurts your brain and you're not patient enough to develop the rhythm for it, stick to spamming mouse keys. Overall, timing your throws is more efficient though.
Hope this video is informative enough to improve your ability to efficiently solo stun AND contribute to hitting the pan during the stun bonus.

    This is a Numpad:
    upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/99/Numpad.svg/1200px-Numpad.svg.png
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Enable Mouse Keys on Windows (you need a numpad on your keyboard to use this): *
    support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/use-mouse-keys-to-move-the-mouse-pointer-9e0c72c8-b882-7918-8e7b-391fd62adf33
1- Start button, search for Control Panel and open it, then click Ease of Access Center
2- Click on make the mouse easier to use
3- Check Turn on Mouse Keys
4- Use "5" or "+" on the Numpad to simulate the click function, try it out on the Shtickerbook or Friends button to ensure that it actually opens them first. That will confirm that the click function is now on your keyboard.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Enable Mouse Keys on Mac: *
    support.apple.com/en-ae/guide/mac-help/mh27469/mac#:~:text=Choose%20Apple%20menu%20%3E%20System%20Settings,actions%2C%20click%20the%20Info%20button%20
1- Apple Menu System Preferences > Accessibility > Pointer Control > Enable Pointer Actions
2- You can add whatever key you want to 0% with as 'triple click' or 'double click' as an option
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you cannot use Mouse Keys, do not worry, the same concepts apply for using the default keybind, as seen here: ruclips.net/video/CeCWaAMqsd8/видео.html. It's a bit more difficult though in terms of timing though.

For players who can't produce low power throws consistently, you can do the Lob 1 Line stun method. That's where you stun 1 cog with a high power throw so it arcs, then immediately stun the other cogs. Done correctly it is much more reliable than line stunning all 8 if your throw rate isn't fast enough.

Fantastic guide! Helped me learn something I was always too afraid to even attempt to try 'til now :-)
now we need a follow-up guide for how to actually move around the map without getting pancaked by gavels every 3 seconds

one thing to note, on windows 10 at least accidently hitting - on the numpad will switch your mouse key to do right clicks instead of left clicks, making it not work for toontown. Pressing * switches it back to left clicks

are there any good servers that replicate toontown movement and timing for the CJ practice that I can practice on that you know of? also do you have any tips for the smaller movements between cogs that are smaller or that are closer together if you're stunning from the side where the cj stands?

      github.com/kittkittlou/TT-Scale-Practice-Edition
      notable commands:
~maxToon (use this to max out your toon, be able to tp anywhere and enter anywhere)
~run (run faster, use again to toggle back to normal run speed)
~cannons (skip to the cannon round of the CJ, recommended to use before the intro cutscene starts)
~rsc (restart the scale round, recommended to use if the cogs side of the scale is close to winning)
~givePies 7 -1 (gives you infinite evidence, do not restock from bumpy bumblebehr after using this though)
      tips for smaller movements:
honestly, no tips, just muscle memory after a lot of practice
keep practicing and see what works for you, if you have any specific problems while practicing, feel free to shoot me a message on discord: kittkittlou

How do you make it 0% aim on a mac?

  • @Scrotes

Sucks that controllers don't have anything yet. Arthritis says no to mouse keys. The best option is a start press activator in steam input, but this only results in a 10-20% power throw, which sucks.

with 9 or 10 cogs, you gotta practice it a little more but its the same principle. Have your first cog be farthest away from you, have your last cog be the closest to you and you should get it. With that knowledge, I'll let you determine where to stand.
