I am so happy to hear that 11cyndee ! Let me know how it went!! 😉
Luisa Louis It went well he sat and played on his iPad and I just took my time. Hair is even all around 😊
11cyndee Yay!! Very happy to hear that it went well!!! 👍🏽😊
I go back to this video every year to cut my kids’ hair! Still the best haircut video I’ve found.
OMG love seeing how Luisa and Ella go back and forth switching from English to French
Anne laure Gilles 😊
You have a lovely daughter who is joyful and well mannered...great job mothering her!
Brilliant video, i trimmed my daughter's hair before watching this. She has tight curls, i dont want to spend money at the hairdressers either being a single mother. I will save this for future use! Xx
Yay! Thanks Athena Marie! That’s why I made this video! Saving money where we can 😉 thanks for watching!
Awww her hair turned out sooo cute! Good job mom👏❤️❤️
I love your daughter’s curly hair! Great job!
Thank you Shana Larose 😊
Thank you Luisa! I've always hated going to hair dressers, to the point that I haven't had a proper hair cut in about 9 years (except for some regrettable attempts to do it myself). Today, on day 13 of lockdown, I asked my fiancé cut my hair with the help of your video. He's never cut anyone's hair before, and it turned out quite short (like a curly bob), but I actually love it. So thank you (both!) for sharing your advice xx
Thanks a lot for sharing!!
I looked at A LOT of videos on this topic and this one is by far my fave. I can't wait for this weekend to cut my soon to be 6y/o and 16m/o's hair😬. P.s. you and your daughter are sooo flipping beautiful 😍
I've been searching for a video like this for MONTHS! My baby (3 in a few days) has ringlets and a pretty fine texture but LOTS of strands so the ends dry out pretty quickly and frizz, don't get me started... I've never cut her hair as I've never had experience with curls, it is now super long (almost mid-back dry) & the ends are very dry & damaged. I've cut/ dyed my own for years but have been blessed(?) with stick straight, easy care hair and I was SO afraid of ruining her beautiful, perfect locks & couldn't find an easy, do-it-yourself tutorial. Because of this video I'm planning an in-home "hair day" for the both of us tomorrow! Thanks so much!
Also you & your daughter are gorgeous! I'm super jealous of the bilingual French/English - I love France & was hoping to pass the language to my baby but myself have barely mastered beginning conversational French... ☹ Maybe future Mama, daughter lessons in the near future? 😊
Sweet mother daughter bond
Y'all are both so beautiful Luisa , and you did a wonderful job .
Love your daughter ‘s new hair cut, she’s a cutie pie. I already forwarded this and another one to my granddaughter, this will come in very handy with my 3 year great granddaughter. She is also a mixed kid with mixed hair. Some of very curly and most is less curly and more frizzy hair. Trinity hates to have her hair done especially detangled. Her mom straightened her hair once recently and I was amazed at how long her hair really was.
Oh I subbed today.
He vous remercie pour vos conceils cheveaux.
Merci et bonne nuit!
I loved this video! Your daughter is so adorable!😍
Her hair is beautiful!!
I hope I'll have a daughter in the very near future. She's too cute and love your vids : ))

My daughter has been asking for her hair to be cut for the last month now. She’s almost 5 and I’m think about doing something similar to this! Thank you!!
Gorgeous child and great cut Mom.
Thank you Kat Marie 😊
Thank you so so much for this tutorial! It has been really helpful! :)
She is so gorgeous! Thank you for a nice tutorial. I’m scared to try it, but my little girl really needs a cut!
Your French accent is FLAWLESS!!!
Awww! Merci!
Just used this tutorial to cut my daughter's hair, thank you!
You are so welcome!
You cut her hair in layers and did a good job
I️ love this video!! I️ am actually learning French at the moment so that I️ can one day teach my future children. Did you teach Ella French and English at the same time? Thank you so much in advance for the advice!
Vous etes canon!!!
You did a great job👍
Beautiful
You are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you, Lauren Brewer ❣️
You did a great job cutting your daughter's hair! My daughter has very curly hair too. What products do you use on your daughter's hair?
Thank you Lilly Blue 😊. Ella has 2 very distinct textures in her hair. Her crown area is very dry and doesn't retain moisture as well and needs help to have a defined curl, so I use a richer/heavier leave in conditioner on that particular spot (Cantu moisturizing curl activator or Eden Body Works Kids Berry curly cream are some of the products I use at the moment) The rest of her hair is a lot softer and retains moister without problem, so I will use lighter products like Mixed Chicks Kids leave-in conditioner or Garnier Fructis Curl nourish Butter cream. I suggest that you buy different products until you find what works for your little one. Tip: if you buy a new product that happens to be too heavy for your kid's hair, dilute it with water so you can finish the bottle. (i hate when I spend up to $10 on a product only to find out that it is too rich for her hair and weighs it down)
Also, I made a video on how I style my daughter's hair that you can watch here: ruclips.net/video/i4tKS_dAs80/видео.html
I hope this was helpful 😉
Ella’s hair is so beautiful. I thought she looked like ani-cat from American housewife. And I think it’s good that she knows to languages, I want to do that for my children
Thanks you Natalie The Dino! I am not familiar with Ani-cat but will google her and see. 🙂
By mixed, whats her exact ethnic composition?
wow that was a lot but you know best.w hat was her hair damaged from?
Lilliemae Edwards yes it was a "big shop" lol I wanted to cut her hair shorter so it would be easier to handle. I only cut her hair once a year, so it was just dead ends that needed to get trimmed off. Now I see a big difference in her hair, the ends are smoother/softer and her curl pattern on her crown area (witch has a different pattern then the rest of her head) is a little more defined, so less hand curling for me 🤗
Bonjour, I speak French too 💕
Hello I am new subscriber love your blogs
Yay!!! Thank you michelle E!
U and ur daughter is very beautiful
❤️
Are you Haitian? Are French and African? Just curious
Do u use hair scizores?
Yes
Tres Jolie😘😘😘
Merci Angela A 🙂
U know come to think of it it's not a norm to cut kids(African) hair well in the Caribbean we don't normally cut kids hair to be honest Idk why cuz it will help out a lot of kids with the damage hair at leave once a year
Oh can she pull her hair in a pony tail?
Yes she can 🙂
😍😘🤩😚👸👸
Layering curly hair is unnecessary.
Why?
Luisa Louis curly hair alone is enough body, especially for a child, Just my opinion.
Kat Marie I see. Thanks a lot for sharing 🙂
Kat Marie Laying curly or straight hair is also used to break up solid/heavy definition line and give some design/style.. Curly hair has many different types. Thin to thick and many types of loose to tight coils. Cutting layers can round out or just give new look. It makes a huge difference. It's not done to give body only. Most curly heads have some layering somewhere, if just framing face.
Emily Fisher thank you for explaining.
