@@Talon771 would have seen some interesting game play no doubt if he did with the choke points that can be found but definitely better to have the room to expand with he normal Galaxy Because sometimes you can get shafted in a spiral Galaxy
I felt obligated to leave a comment even though this is 3yrs old, the amount of effort behind the lore, concept art, animation, sound design, and how clear and concise you explained the lore was super refreshing to see compared to some of the videos people upload today. Just know that I appreciate that effort you made and I can't wait to binge watch this series!
I haven't even watched the first 5 min but I had to stop just to tell you that I thought this intro was absolutely outstanding Capt. Truly amazing and I'm already pumped for this series!!!
Trade Value is big in this version of Stellaris. The Offworld Trading Company would add trade value to the system, based on number of trade hubs. Trade value is converted into energy credits automatically by your home system. Worth investing in that, especially since you’re playing as the Republic!
Have only watch four and a half minutes and I MUST HAVE MORE!!! Plus great call back to season 3. Shout out to everyone who remembers waiting for episodes from season 1.
You should definitely name your ship types after political names. Ambassador, diplomat, statesman or emissary. Maybe add some names like FREEDOM or LIBERATOR for good measure. I think those sorts of names would fit really well for what your going for in this campaign.
Just make words up. Or name em after important people in history. Like one of my cruiser designs, i called it the Demero Class, the first name of the empires first Emperor.
Shack, one thing I would definitely recommend is making sure you have at least one building per planet producing amenities (ex. Holo theatre) to increase happiness and stability which means that all your workers produce more resources Love the series can’t wait to see how it goes !
Hey Shack. If you go for Basic Strike Craft it gives you the hangar option when you get ship sizes that can carry them. It also adds the ability to add strikecraft hangars to your stations. Great for defending your trade lanes, well worth it.
You should name your fleet Defence fleet echo. Its rutes date back to the first fleet's of primitive ships that defended trade in the core. More than that it acted as a beacon that echoed liberty and hope through out the core system. But with the invention of FTL travel the fleet became an echoing beacon of liberty not just for the core but all systems with in the galactic republic. Also shack if your reading this go for the research tree after expansion. It makes system surveys so much faster.
I don’t know if you will see this, but thank you Captain, I remember when season 1 of these came out, you were what really got me into sci-fi, thank you.
Now, this may not be for everyone, but I like to build my fleets with a fairly Star Wars inspired mindset. So I rush destroyer technology, use destroyers as my front lining ships, and use corvets as Picket/support ships. Then my Cruisers have hanger bays, and my Battleships mainly consist mainly of two different designs: Artillery and Carrier. I'd love to see what you could do to experiment with the fleet composition!
@@randybuttchug1568 I don't doubt that but, at the same time, I tend to not have that problem due to sheer volume of fighters. And I expect to take some losses.
Captain Shack, It's your old friend General Jimmies from the glory days of the Clone Wars(Republic at War Playthrough). While for the moment there are no current threats to our burgeoning civilization it would be foolish to assume that nothing can threaten us. Perhaps it's just this old fool's paranoia getting the best of him but I can't help feel that, as the saying goes, "I have a bad feeling about this." I feel it would be wise to expand the Grand Navy into something a bit more...powerful. Not for conquest or anything of the sort mind you, but as a deterrent to more...aggressive civilizations. Peace and coexistence will certainly be our primary focus but should that fail the Grand Navy will send a clear message, We Will Fight Back. For the eventual reorganization of the Grand Navy I propose it be divided into 5 different Fleets, each with distinct roles: 1st Fleet(Home Fleet/Home One): This fleet's duty with be to defend our home word as well as the core worlds. 2nd Fleet(Frontier Fleet): This Fleet's duty would be to defend the Mid to Outer colonies of the Republic. 3rd Fleet(Expansionary Fleet): This Fleet's duty would be to expand the territory of the Republic with the exception of "starting" a war with another civilization..if they exist. This fleet would also act as escorts/protection for exploratory, scientific and/or diplomatic ships outside the territory of the Republic. Can work together with the 5th fleet as needed. 4th Fleet(The Peacekeeping Fleet): This fleet would act as sort police force within the territory of the Republic, such as stopping pirate raids as well as providing a sense of security to the worlds of the Republic. 5th Fleet(Rapid Response Fleet): This Fleet would be the first responders to a crisis, the first responders to war. And should other civilizations exist and military alliances be formed, the 5th Fleet would also act as the Military Liaison to that civilization's own military. Can work with the 3rd fleet as needed. Thank you for hearing an old man out, General Jimmies

This mod usefull, as you usually want to keep the encourage population growth decision active constantly, but in vanilla once it runs out it does not give you a notification.
