Many Doublemeat Palace clips in this. Just remembered the secret was the burgers were really meatless and made from vegetables. That's the new tread in fast food now. This show was ahead of its time.
Yea they were veggie, but the secret ingredient was actually beef flavoring.
It's so fun to watch the exact moment when sarah becomes buffy, and vice verse. Or when she doesn't even break character, after she knows she fucked up.

4:13 this was around the time she was filmed in Scooby Doo. You can see the "Daphne" hair she was sporting.
Pretty sure that was a wig they had her wear in the beginning of that episode so she could then "cut her hair off" because Spike liked it, and explain Sarah's haircut.

We all know it's a wig but it's the same what she had as Daphne in Scooby-Doo as well. The hair she had in Season 2 was what she had in IKWYDLS when her she got her hair chopped off in her sleep and Scream 2 in 97. She did all three projects around the same time.

redalader I know Sarah likes Angel better but she's said in past interviews that she adores James. Not sure it's a closeness thing more than just an attachment to the original pairing. Spike and Buffy were obviously more gritty, but Sarah filmed 7 seasons of the show. How unhappy could she be?
redalader has the right idea. Sarah was not entirely happy with some of the story directions the show took in the later seasons, which probably contributed to the show finishing with Season 7.
This is a misconception. Sarah did say that season 6 was her least favorite to shoot because it was so hard emotionally on her. Not that she hated the season or the direction of the show, but because it took her to a very dark place as an actress. Season 6 is absolutely pivotal, for all the characters, and is possibly the most crucial season. Yeah, she joked that there was suddenly a lot of sex on the show, and there was because the scoobies were all grown up and in relationships, that's what happens. The sex with her and Spike started as a mutual need to feel ...something.... coming from two very broken people. Spike loved Buffy, she wasn't quite there yet, but in the end, she was. Also, sex scenes are super awkward for actors to shoot. Everyone is tired and hot and just wants to go to lunch, and there are 30 people waiting for you to look like you are having passionate sex when you are really uncomfortable, sweating under the lights, and trying to block out the scene and remember any lines if there are any. Plus possible nudity in front of strangers, and Sarah seems like a more modest person... at least in that way.
I remember reading about Sarah shipping Buffy and Angel and she said it would make her SO happy that if Buffy and Angel ended up together, she'd cry.

I've been binging this show nonstop lately so I found it incredibly alarming and satisfying when I heard all the "fucks" and "shits" in this blooper reel. The language in the show is fairly PG so it felt good to hear it somewhere in the making of. lol

I always liked SMG as an actress but I didn't know she was so CUTE
About sex comment: they were shooting 6.13 episode, where there are 4 sex/almost sex scenes: 1.with rug, 2.on the balcony, 3.when she was dreaming that he came to her room 4.her dream. That's more than all previous S6 episodes had all together before that episode. So that's the reason of words. Because those days they were constantly shooting it 😆
But anyway it seems like she was comfortable enough, I also watched other S6 bloopers with her, including Smashed and Wrecked, where you can expect some difficulties but it wasn't so at all. Also it looks like she has a similar temper with James, they go along well even during some really delicate scenes, so seems like it was as confortable to shoot them as it could possibly be. Taking into account that these scenes are ALWAYS hard to shoot. For some reason people say they didn't expect her to swear etc but it's just because they don't know her and judge based on her fictional character mostly. But real people can be different a bit. You can see that she is pretty straightforward person actually, she can say what she thinks even if someone don't like it that much, and she's not just some 'shy flower' some people may think she is.
It's crazy that some people call Joss "inappropriate." EVERYONE who worked on this show was having a great time being WILDLY inappropriate and we LOVED them for it!

It's from dailies footage. Actually, a lot of work went into this and it took about 8 hours altogether.
I think what he means is why weren't those clips in any of the bloopers on the dvd. From what I've heard (don't really have a reliable source here), it's cause Sarah didn't want her bloopers getting out. Or her agent didn't. Something like that.
Maybe they weren't as popular then? Having the audience basically watch then actors screw up lol. I can see why the studio would say no- plus all the cuss words. I don't remember bloopers becoming a thing until later

I thought that it was a "toxic environment" on set. Seems kind of carefree to me.
@Michael Houston It was a kind of sarcastic comment, based on the cast members saying how great it was. How cast members used to go over Whedon's house to do Karaoke every week. How pretty much everyone would say how great it was working on Buffy, and so on. The only one that ever said how terrible it was, was Charisma Carpenter. And she has good reason, as it was very well documented on how bad Joss Whedon treated her after she showed up to Season Four of Angel, four months pregnant. It was a jab at all the cast members that decided to pile it on without providing examples, because nowadays it's the thing to do. Anthony Stewart Head said that he couldn't believe that he could have missed noticing the toxic environment. When he should have said I never saw a toxic environment. Because in today's society, it's career suicide to question anything that a victim ever says.

@@alexh8613 I find it hard to believe SMG would just say that and sever a relationship that made her a star, there is most likely not much of a relationship so SMG backed her up. SMG experienced toxic BS from Joss, so did James, and Michelle Tractenburg, also Amber. James was targeted/practically assaulted once by Joss, so he backed up his old co workers also. This combined with Justice League, and others coming out about his behavior, even his freakin EX WIFE who has nothing good to say, screams pretty loudly.

A Buffy reboot or sequel was announced in 2018, and was said to be intended to have a black actress play the new slayer. But in 2020, no significant news has come forward since.
