Christmas in July Ornaments (with Dollar Tree Tins!)

- These Christmas ornaments were made with the Dollar Tree scalloped rim!
The reindeer heads and gingerbread woods were purchased last year on Amazon. The gingerbreads are 4” tall. The scalloped tins are 6” in circumference.
Enjoy! So much fun to create! They can be used as Christmas tree ornaments or as wall decor!

Hello Mona!! Oh wow!! I am sooooooo pleased!!! Thank you so much!!! I did a search on Amazon to see if those exact gingerbreads were still available on Amazon ( I had purchased them last October 2023!) and I saw that currently they are “ unavailable”, but there are other wood cut out gingerbreads of the same length and nice gingerbread shape. If you want them thicker, just glue 2 or 3 together, like I did the reindeer heads) Also, if you do not find the tins at one Dollar Tree, try another! Again, thank you so much! So pleased you enjoyed the tutorial and feel inspired. That is such a wonderful compliment to me❣️

I found a lot of scrapbook paper at Hobby Lobby. In sales section they had some in packs so good price on those. Always check that section.
I always check that department on the sale weeks for the booklets and the single sheets. Are you referring to clearance scrapbook papers? Their sales are awesome on those booklets. Loooooooooove scrapbook papers! And when the Xmas items go on sale they have the booklets in the Xmas department. (I am a bit of a hoarder 🥴🥴🥴of scrapbook papers!! ) ☺️
Some were in sales section in plastic bag. The books n singles were on sale also. The plastic bags had 1 -2 dollars a pack.

Being that we both have grandchildren….. Wondering if you recall the paper dolls that came in the McCalls magazine monthly? ( I believe it was McCAll’s?) When I was a very young girl I looked forward to cutting out the paper dolls and the clothes with scissors, and playing with them! Well, anyway….. I am reminded of those paper dolls when I dress up the gingerbreads! ☺️ ( I have more ornaments made with those DT tins coming up next week! Going to do a reeeeeeeeeally cute and very easy snowman!! I was wondering if you can measure the thickness of the Gingerbread man.

The gingerbread wood is 3/8” thick, 4” tall, 3 1/2” wide. I looked on Amazon to see if they are still available. ( I purchased those gingerbread woods in October of 2023.) I see they are not currently available from that shop on Amazon. I am going to do a search though on Amazon and see if I can find the equivalent, or something very close. I will get back to you!
The closest I can find to the size I used on my ornaments is a shop on Amazon called Bright Creations. Just put that store name in search and as well “ gingerbread wood cut outs, and multiple shops will pop up with wood gingerbreads. ( Bright Creations” being one of them. They are however not as thick as the ones I used, but you could just glue 2 or 3 together with wood glue ( like I did the reindeer heads). I am going to do some more searching to see if I can locate the exact same gingerbreads that I used on my projects!
where did you find the tins #tree. I tried going on site they did not have.
Hey Debra! I have picked up those tins at multiple different Dollar Trees. I have never ordered items on Dollar Tree site as they often require you purchase in bulk. I would advise you to try going to numerous Dollar Trees until you find them. Don’t get discouraged if you do not find them at one. That is the way Dollar Tree is. I often shop at multiple stores and I usually am able to accomplish what I am searching for but it does take patience. It certainly is not like Hobby Lobby but DT does have unique inexpensive items so it is worth the hunt. ☺️ I hope you are able to find them!!
