I've joined Reform too. The first time ever I've joined a political party. We have to get rid of Labour and the Tories will not do any better. Reform, in my opinion, deserve a chance.
Yes, the Tories are finished and this was desperate stuff from the new Tory party leader. The membership of the Tory party were faced with a difficult choice of leader, a candidate that had little chance of success at the next general election (if there is one) and one with zero. Sadly they chose the latter. Badenoch does not have a chance in heII of winning back the former "red wall" seats won by Johnson in 2019 and so essential for his victory. Labour just don’t get it either, they think they’re safe in government for the next 20 years but even those who voted for them are dumbfounded by how terrible they are. They really can’t keep using the “we’ve only been in power for a few months” or the “£22 billion black hole”. I really don’t see an election not happening within 2.5 years at this rate.

During the leadership campaign, the Tories reportedly sent ballot papers to members who had resigned or whose membership had lapsed which suggests that they would struggle to run a bath. This is desperate stuff from the new Tory party leader but the membership of the Tory party were faced with a difficult choice of leader, a candidate that had little chance of success at the next general election (if there is one) and one with zero. I was a member of the so called Conservative party for forty years. I relinquished my membership in 2023 as there are few Tories in the party. This mess is down the leaders they've had since Maggie.

Dear kemi, As the leader of the official opposition party don't you have better things to do? Such as holding the current government to account for their dismal, damaging policies so far? Just a thought.
The unique thing about Labour voters and their paid-up party members is they’ve historically always been largely ‘tribal’. And by that I mean they have always voted Labour because their grandparents and parents did so in the past, but that’s now definitely changing. I recently spoken at length with several previously staunch Labour men and woman and trust me, they definitely ain’t happy with Starmer’s governance of Britain right now! And as one passionately put it, “I don’t recognise a single thread of the old Labour Party, to this new and frankly, ‘Anti Working Class’ one, they’ve now lost my entire families support as a result.” 🤬
Tories are playing DEI now. They are really desperate as their ship is catastrophically holed and sinking with Kemi at the helm calling for new passengers. They are finished!
I was a Conservative voter for many years but I did vote for UKiP and I voted for being out of the EU. I did vote Conservative in July 2024 because my local MP is doing a good job locally and the Lib Dem’s were getting strong in the surrounding constituencies. Unfortunately I’m not impressed with the Conservative Party because they don’t promote the values my parents stood for and which are still important in Britain. Open borders are not for me, billions spent on illegal immigrants, public sector workers, and the wasteful NHS. I’m likely to go with Reform next time.
Would probably be better to take some leave out of Reforms book and address the real problems affecting the native British - ie illegal immigration, the economy, housing, infrastructure (roads, railways, water, open spaces).
Desperate stuff from the new Tory party leader but the membership of the Tory party were faced with a difficult choice of leader, a candidate that had little chance of success at the next general election (if there is one) and one with zero.
