    Some folks in the comments are calling these ultrasonic sensors. They're actually ultrasonic transductors, so they are ultrasonic speakers.

    Fascinating. It appears the ultrasonic emitters are all connected in parallel. The effect is caused by the parabolic reflectors, which create a neutral pressure zone with a properly placed top half, thereby creating a sphere.

      @@siroglethorpe311 Those are well known and common ultrasonic modules for the Arduino, they are used for sonar.

    This IS real. It's using the ultrasound speakers from the distance detectors. You can de solder them and power them (Only need 2 for this to work). Make sure they are like 1 inch apart and powered on. Then put anything in the middle!

      Acoustic nodes is what’s trapping the foam ball. If you looking into ultrasonic levitation that should send you the right way.

      Well, what's happening here? You had a frequency that is being pulsed 180 degrees out of phase. Whatever you have in the center of that is sitting in a zone of cancelation. What if you vibrate that zone of cancelation with another frequency? Would that object be in its own "atmosphere"?
