I recomend before tiding the 2 bolts in the arm to place a floor jack under the lower arm to apply some weight and load and then after tie the bolts that will help will future problems like small noises or premature cracks or breaks of the bushing. 😎👍

If I need to change the rear shock is easier if I release the upper control arm the part that is near to the rotor ?
I never had a problem when I had to remove other component to installing the rear shocks. I’ll say try first that

I just bought aerogenics aluminum upper control arms and they are guaranteed for life. Now just need to install them.

Long breaker bar with a 17mm socket. Will fit.
You'll need to tap it out then use a ring spanner to undo the rest.
