Chester singing One More Light in honor of Chris Cornell is a perfect example. He couldn’t sing the end, he was too emotional.
I agree, this is her best WFTE performance yet. I've noticed she tend to be really unsure on the second to last line of "I'm holding on to what i havent, got...." but this time it's all executed masterfully. I personally really like the way she deliver the very last line of this song..."holding on to what i haven't, gooooot."
@@nemesis6486 Yeah I agree with that first part, that was the only concern that I had before watching this. In this performance I personally like how she goes off key a little and yells in that part. It adds more emotion to her vocals. How she ended the song was perfect too.

She clearly relates to this one in a very personal way, and it helps her immensely in her performance of it. She nails it every time. That penultimate high note has been iffy, but that's hard enough to hit if you aren't on the verge of breaking down. And honestly, if singing it doesn't bring you to tears, I'd question your ability to adequately perform it.
I absolutely love the way she delivers this song and how it means so much for the band. "The hardest part of ending is starting again". We, the fans, honor and miss you, Chester. You were a special person with the voice of an angel. LP and Emily do you great honor by carrying on. You felt nothing but turmoil here, hope you rest easy there.
This song fits her voice so well. Emily is amazing, and we are all lucky to have her and the rest of the guys in the band right now. Trying to compare her with Chester is disrespectful. He won't be replaced, he can't be replaced, and nobody in the band is trying to do so. "The hardest part of ending is starting again"... If the band could find the strength within themselves to start again, we should all do the same. Emily Armstrong starts a new beginning for LP without sacrificing the essence of the band. That doesn't erase the past; it just adds to the future of the band.
Getting better and better. I can feel a sincere commitment from her, as the new lead singer, and Linkin Park genuinely being happy to be back. I can only respect that.
She gets how much this song means to us as a fanbase, and also, think about the incredible whirling of emotions she’s feeling as well. If you don’t get emotional, you’re not human. I admire her for allowing herself to be vulnerable with all of us!
My favorite Linkin Park song! Emily sounds fantastic here. You can tell that this one really means something to her, as it does so many people. Always found Waiting for the End to be a glimpse into Chester’s soul. And it’s very fitting for this new chapter in their history. The hardest part of ending is starting again.

And I heard it from the rooftop
From the mountains that you were coming in, ah
And I heard it from your best friend
From the silence when I asked how you've been, ah
Come on and touch me
Do I belong to anybody?
Want me
Cause all I know is do or die

Come on and touch me
Do I belong to anybody?
So loud, so loud, I just wanna hear you scream it
Better now, better now, for this moment is gone

Move your mouth, move your mouth, I just want it out loud
And I heard it from the voices in the rain clouds
That you were coming in, ah
And I heard it from your cousin in the doorway
When I asked how you've been, ah
Come on and touch me
Do I belong to anybody?
Want me
Cause all I know is do or die
For the love
For the love
Come on and touch me
Do I belong to anybody?

Anybody, Anybody
Are you gonna let me down?
Are you gonna let me down?
No you won't let me down
No you can't let me down
Are you gonna let me down?
Are you gonna let me down?
