Just bought one, all I really needed was the blower but the wife wanted the model with the vac option. Couldn’t figure out (didn’t have the patience) how to switch over to vac from the directions. This video really helped, thanks!!!!

The manual was terrible. I been using this blower for 2 months on just blower mode because the manual had no pictures or solid directions on how to turn it into a vacuum. Thanks for the video!! I truly appreciate it

Wow that helped me so much! I don't have that brand, but same setup. My son in law gave me back 2 screws said "these are extra" I watch your video and see they are the screws for the vacuum tube assembly. Now I know how to start it too!
Should have watched this very informative video before putting mine together. After 15 minutes of running I couldn't get it restarted even with the help of the 1 800 number. It goes back to Home Depot in the morning for a better designed unit. Thanks for the video Mistalorio.

Thanks for the video. I used to have a Homelite and it lasted 20 years. It started with nothing but a choke on the 1st or second pull. The crankshaft key way went bad. I bought Poulan rated number one. It works just like this one, same CC and everything. This pump 10 times, then 4-pulls, then 6-pulls is idiotic, and works best in the movies and warm weather. I'm the only one that can start it in cold weather in the fall when you need it for leaves. If this is progress, plan on seeing a hand crank to start your next car. The girls are complaining that they want one they can start. You saved me from buying junk. I'll look for one 20 years old and rebuild it.

What a wonderful video, your sound quality and explanation was perfect. I have a partner that will never help with tasks, for years I’ve asked for him to weed whack or use the blower since I didn’t know how to use them, I’ve figured out every other tool. I don’t suppose you have a video on weedwackers too?
Fixing the attachments is so difficult for this machine. Just buy a black and decker which has sleek and easy to use attachments very good and informative video thanks 😊
Just received a similar Homelite for my birthday, set it up and spent the last two hours using the vacuum. I thought there was something wrong with the machine, seems crazy that it is normal to have to crank 6-8 times to get it started. Also, emptying the full leaf bag is a very convoluted process, need three hands to get it done. Your video is great but it just confirms my feeling that this is a poorly designed machine.
I have a homelite blower that I use for commercial lawn care. was $89 and Ive abused it for 3 years. Still starts with under 3 pulls every time. My only complaint is mine doesnt include and air filter! I know its crazy considering the thing is designed to blow dust into the air. But I havent even cleaned the carb on it once and it still works great so maybe it doesnt really matter.
