    OK guys,
    I just watched you're video
    Soo helpful, the written instructions are VERY confusing.
    But! I did not know that I couldn't use other oils.
    It,s only the first time I have.
    My first mistake was not to put on the solid cover after it's last use.
    Have I really ruined my lamp?
    This was a gift of importance and I'm hoping that I didn't ruin it.
    I have model 3993 or the rectangle onx/tiger lamp.
    Can I run through the oil that I have in it or is it ruined?
    It is working fine, but I did see on your video that there is no smoke in the 20 minute period before covering it up.
    Mine smokes but smells great.
    What do I do?
    Thanks,
    Stan

    If you do not want to use any of your scented oils can you just use the Neutral oil and get excellent results. My main purpose is to get pet odors (I have 2 dogs and 2 cats) eliminated as much as possible from my home. Also will one lampe serve the entire home or does one need to have more placed in areas that the pets are in more?

  • @HamsterLife_EnglishLearning
    @HamsterLife_EnglishLearning 7 лет назад +2

    I heard you can use this stuff in any real outdoor lantern as well. It is just alcohol that you may or may not be adding scents of your own to it, or buying it with several drops in it. The ingredients of this stuff in the video is 91% alcohol & probably an ounce of scented oil in it for those that are purchased scented and not the plain neutral. Though you would not need scents in it outdoors. It would be way too expensive to buy from these places when you can buy the alcohol and add your own oil scents if burning indoors using for a real lantern or these small indoor lamps for air fresheners.

I find its more tailored to my tastes and pennies on the dollar not to mention healthier because there is no telling where the fragrances come from in the commercial fragrance.

      Every time. You're heating up the ceramic catalytic element to the point where it can function without flame. Rather than time it, wait for the flame to get smaller, and look for spreading spots of white on the ceramic with just a little dim orange glow from inside.

    How long does a 2/3rd filling last? How wide does the fragrance disperse around the house? Is the fragrance smell perceived just around where its installed (like the plug ins) only or will it sniff around to other corners of the house like the kitchen assuming its an open house kinda place.

    • @CandlesoffmainGP
      @CandlesoffmainGP  10 лет назад +1

      DC Guetterman
      Neutral fragrance oil removes odors but doesn't have any scent. I don't recommend using Neutral alone, though. It can smell a little sterile (like a hospital) on its own. Even just a touch (tablespoon) of fragrance oil will get rid of the sterile smell without creating an overwhelming scent. You can mix as much Neutral oil as you like with any of the Lampe Berger fragrances to make them more subtle. You may also want to pick a soft fragrance, like Grapefruit. Here's the link to Neutral fragrance oil for more info: www.candlesoffmain.com/lampe-berger-neutral-fragrance-oil-1-liter.aspx Hope that helps!

One in kitchen, one in office, one in living room, one in bedroom, one in master bath room. That way I can light one in whichever room I'm in, plus I get to have different designs of bottles. I constantly have the same problem as you. I purchased a new wick & burner from the big box home decor store and my 'oil' too - Winterwood is my favorite. Fill bottle half way to 2/3 full; let wick soak. Light it and it works. Use it twice, and now it lights and when you blow it out, it doesn't keep burning. I love the concept and the smell, when it works! How can a wick/burner go bad after only two uses?
