Best guesses on how all that dust got in there? 😄
Make sure to check out the new Yard Geek video!! Have a great weekend!
Does the a/c work? Unpaved roads with windows down is my best guess
People gotta stop driving with all the windows down in the dust storm. Can you imagine how much they must have coughed? LOL 💜
Can some people cause an allergy to the sneeze to open the window in the dust? 🤔 ❤️
Looks like they went to a dirt track race and left their windows down
It might well be the result of open windows while driving over gravel roads. I even think the big rust holes are a result of the same. The gravel could strip off the paint and the sheer metal starts rusting. By the way, does the owner have the intention to have this repaired along with the broken windshield?
This is a stress free show watching from South Africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦
That poor car got abused… I’m quite impressed with the results and i tried out the waffle towel and it works great. Used it on my car. Those seats came out looking awesome. Mitch saves the day one again! Have a good weekend Mitch and DG viewers!!
@Botdog614, Have a good weekend!
Have a great weekend Botdog!!
@@cynthiahopkins7090 much appreciated!
@@joelbuchanan471 thank you 😊
That car would not be legal here in the UK with that much rust!!
It should be legal nowhere, but in Canada, there to many "rust buckets" on the road.
Ajajjajaja no jodas hermano ,los he visto vender para uso interno o para venta en el extranjero mucho peor allí ,este jetta es un 0km de segunda mano en Reino Unido
I'm a desensitized american, I almost didn't see the rust 😷
Yeh here in the UK that wouldn't be allowed on the road. Instant mot fail
& pretty much everywhere in 🇪🇺 ... I suspect a good % of the N Am fleet would be grounded or sent to the junkyard.
Mitch! Would love a video on how to properly care for and maintain your detailing tools (i.e., cleaning brushes, cloths, etc.).
All the "fave" boxes checked for this one: car over 15 years old; abused; bought at auction; interior in rough shape. Even an auction car that was a dust bowl baby gets transformed with your detail! Well done--even the cheapie carpet cleaned up beautifully!
Most thorough vacuuming you’ve ever done . ❤❤❤
Whenever you mention a vehicle’s mileage, I like it when you mention both the kilometers AND equivalent miles.
I like how thorough you are...paying attention to detail 😊 you treat these older cars the way you do with the latest ones 🎉nice one bro 😉
What I am seeing on many of these car detail channels is that they all have a list of products on just about every video that has been published! Mitch, you wouldn't believe how happy that makes me. As there are some who want to open a car or truck detail shop, having the list of products placed out in the open is the best route to go. For those how the dirt and trash is disposed of, there are three trucks that are involved. The septic truck with the vacuum attachment, the garbage truck, and when the dirty water gets dumped from the washing machine, nowdays the water goes to a water treatment center where the dirt ends up being loaded onto a dump truck. Seeing how things are done is the main reason why I subscribed to this channel.
The best part about Friday! Another car detailing video and cautionary tale to keep your car clean to begin with!
Looks like a vehicle from the east coast, lots of rusty cars there due to the salt they use on the roads. This one came out in your usual spectacular fashion, nobody beats The Detail Geek in transforming a car from dirty to beautifully clean!
The best way to deal with dust is water and a damp microfiber towel 💧💧💧
Great detail job Mitch. I’ve always bought cars with the same color interior as they clean up well-or at least hide the imperfections!
Good old TDI!! That's a keeper!
It has way too much rust
New owners love you because you save their cars!
Great job. This was so relaxing to watch.
Just discovered your channel about a month ago friend & you HONESTLY do the best I ever seen anyone Retore/Detail! I love the fact you take off your shoes when cleaning the inside fabric. Little things like that people don't do anymore. Anyways GREAT job, look forward to your next video 👏 💯 ✔️✅
Wow! You definitely detailed the hell out of that Jetta.. and i'm sure the owner was amazed. You have a great weekend as well ❤
Wow, that was a stellar cleanup. The Jetta was a bit rusty but very nice. SO much dust that the respirator was in FULL use. You always do such an amazing job on the seats, despite the stains and wear. Fixing the headlights was good to see. Once they get that cloudy they really don't help. I know, I HAD the same problem until I cleaned mine up and now they work great. Good work Mitch! Still loving the music outro. I really enjoyed the drain pit clean up. That was fun to watch and the sounds. Have a great weekend!! 💜
Joel, it’s wonderful to see you again! What a stunning transformation! The new owner truly appreciates the opportunity to buy the Jetta as if it were brand new, thanks to the refreshing interior, beautiful carpets, and the perfect neatness of the steering wheel. I am getting ready to watch the GeekYard now. Yippe!! Have a wonderful weekend! 😊
@@cynthiahopkins7090hey Cynthia, you're right. Mitch knows what he's doing. The VW turned out great. Have a great weekend!!!
What A Great Transformation! Great Job!👍
Air compressor for blasting out all those nasty bits! 🙂 Have a great weekend, Mitch! xo from Vancouver Island!
This is how I would clean the engine bay followed by the steam.🔥
So do cars in Canada not have to pass road safety inspections? That car is days away from snapping in two.
Depends. If they decide to pull you over and ticket you they can. But most of this vehicle inspection guys are looking for jacked up trucks or modified sports cars. We also don’t have yearly inspections depending on where you are. Where I’m from you only require a safety when registering a new to you car.
Here n the U.S. we no longer hv Safety Stickers or Inspections. When we did,we knew where we could take the vehicle,(Borovitz) 2 illegally pass it.🤐
@elizabethannfarrow1971 idk where you are but here in the US (VA to be exact) we have yearly inspections and get the sticker also. This car would never pass and will be a candidate for the junkyard
@@tiffanytaylor4164 it’s state by state from my understanding.
@@tiffanytaylor4164 Muskogee Co. Fort Gibson,Oklahoma.
They done away w/inspection stickers many yrs. ago.
Very good Job!❤
And very good Guitar outro 🥰
Gotta love fridays
Mitch, you gave the Jetta a lot more life! It looks mahvelous dahling!
It’s Friday Mitch ❤ thanks for another great video 😊 enjoy your weekend
WHOOT WHOOT! I love Fridays 🎉🥹👏🏾
9:26 have you ever tried the orbital sander hack! You place a Velcro pad on an orbital sander and stick it to the carpet and it’s supposed to vibrate all the dirt out as you vacuum at the same time.
He gets suggestions all the time about all the different gadgets but says he tried some but only likes his methods.🔥
Love your vids. They TOTES make my Fridays
Your attention to detail is amazing. Keep up the good videos. Greetings from South Africa
Great work man
Wow that sure was a lot of dust. Great job as alway.
Super work Mitch!! Enjoy your weekend!!!
Absolute phenomenal job as always!!! I re-watched the cleaning of the mats 🤣 those are always my favourites along with the foot pedals! Cheers, have a fab weekend. *Your yard is looking gorgeous! It’s so much work but worth it to look out on. Well done 👏 💚🍀
Awesome! The 2006 Jetta improves better transformation from a lot of dust and disaster from the steering wheel of the interior. Good job! Have a great weekend! 😊👏❤️
Having breakfast with The Detail Geek😊
I still miss the old before & after shots on your driveway... something about them was so captivating. But progress is good and I'm glad to see you moving right along in life!
Hey I watched a detailer from the UK use a massager on the floor and vibrate the dirt and debris loose while holding the vacuum nose to the carpet near the massager. It's a thing they do since it's hard like you said to get the dirt and debris loose.
greetings from Ireland - another great video !!
Thanks! You perserve well job. Have a beautiful day!
That was such a nice thing to do Cynthia. TimBits and Coffee for Mitch!!!
Wow, thank you so much for your amazing words! You truly made my day. 😊
In any state in Australia the Jetta would attract authorities attention with the rust and cracked windshield. Great video as usual 🇦🇺
Thanks for another beautiful video
Looking real good. Just get a new windshield and maybe some bondo for the rusted out parts. Nice job Mitch!!!
Great job!
That vehicle needs serious body work
How in this world someone could get that must dust inside a car. I loved the drain pit video. I wish you would consider doing a video of the garage clean up after a detail job. I am sure it’s satisfying to see also. Have a great week sir Mitch
You're incredible, don't stop creating content!
bot
Due to the amount of scraping and rubbing you do with the crevice tool on your vacuum hose, do you have to replace the crevice tool from time to time due to wear? I would love to see a comparisons between a well worn tool and a new one.
he in fact did make a video about it (I'm unsure whether this was a member's only video, but I think so.)
yes, after about one year, he needed a new one. the size difference was unbelievable (he couldn't quite believe it himself.) the worn down one was an easy six inch shorter 😲
A black VW? I'm liking this even before I watch the video 😄 Turning on 4K!
Good luck on the Volkswagen Jetta, Mitch (also known as Detail Geek).
I really loved last week's video
I saw under the Jetta some rust and peeling if the new owner has the clean car, might be able to get it repaired and welded like new.
Like I saw a video from UK called motorhome and owner Simon Waller sometimes picks out some rust and paint losses and wears on most cars.
What a rust bucket! But now it is a clean rust bucket. Your service charge was probably higher than the purchasing expense.
I watch all your videos. I look forward to watch them
Cleanest rustbucket ever!
As always awesome job & great result Mitch ..
Amazing! Great job!
Another great job Mitch
Your a good man for doing this and I know you will make look good
This "abused VW," looks great after 10 hours of your hard work!
Hahaha, now it's just a really clean POS😂
Another great transformation. I did notice though that one headlight cleaned up better than the other.
Getting that dusty inside is most likely not as difficult as you might think. A window might not go completely up leaving a small space. Dust doesn't need a whole lot of space to get in. Example, my brother has a Suburban and it is parked in the driveway because it needs some work. So, the bottom line is I am sure it would be about that dusty and they live in the city. And yes all the windows are up but that's not to say it is air tight. I would love to see what you could with it but getting it there would take about a day and half of just straight driving (we live in California).
Wow Mitch that looks incredible
Love both channels. My son gets a real kick when he calls and I start telling him about my “car guy”
Another beautiful job😊
Hey man I run a shop myself in the states, and have used a lot of the same techniques just different products, over the last year my clients and customers noticed the difference too that has helped the business and just saying keep it going and ever wanna expand feel free to reach out! Have wanted to start a channel and produce some great content like this but un sure if it will take off and do well. Either way keep it up man!!
Wow looking good, you are a genuius, well done 💯
You are too kind to say you would make it look brand new again for the next owner 🙌😆
Mitch you could video stuffing a turkey and we still watch you. I bet even in that video you would mention your waffle weave towels 😂
I don't watch yard geek but have you tried Clover Lawn for weed control? Takes less water, less mowing, it blooms and it's a turf builder so much better weed control.
Nice video as always Mitch have a nice weekend.
Probably the most reliable Jetta’s ever made. While simple the engines that generation are very reliable as compared to all previous / current years IMO.
Nice work! 🤘🏻😎🔨 Came out pretty good.
I've been wanting to ask you for a few videos now.... Do you ever clean the headliners of the cars you detail? Seeing the inside nastiness of most of them it is highly probable that the headliners are gross but I don't think I've ever seen you cleaning any 🤔
yes, he does! with his steamer and a microfiber towel wrapped around the "outlet." (to take some of the aggressiveness out.)
Miss your twin! ❤❤
Dude, why does everyone have a broken windshield? That's covered under most insurance.
The cost to detail this vehicle is probably more than what the vehicle is worth. A waste of time to detail this vehicle. Vehicle needs to go straight to the junkyard.
Is it weird that seeing u sweat makes me feel better? Like ur not some car detailing god?! Lol cuz I sweat like crazy when I detail lol. But as always....absolutely amazing! U da man Mitch!!
I hope whoever bought that car plans on replacing that cracked up windshield.
I've been driving VW's for over twenty years, and I have never seen a rusted out rocker! Wow!
Well I must say. That went from why would anyone want it.. to wow. Very impressive!!
How is that even possible with all that dust and in Canada of all places? Like where did he find all that dust?
Am I losing it, or did he forget to show the carpets getting shampooed and cleaned?
Yes he did
Where do you get your brush steamer??!! I really need one for my car!
That car went from hopeless to usable again. Well, after the windshield is replaced.
Too funny, I just sold my 06 Jetta not 12 hours ago, in similar condition, with lotsa dust and doghair!
probably cost the same amount of $ for the cleaning as the purchase of the car
I sure hope the buyer had it almost for free. Heavy welding + glass replacement & crap engine almost guaranteed... 😬 If what you want is a cheap runner all costs included, that wasn't it.
Nice job 👍
Cleaning this car was more expensive than it was worth afterwards, right?
When there is that much dust inside, it's gratifying to watch it disappear.
If you’ve lived through an Australian dust storm, you’d know one window down a quarter inch and the interior would be coated with red dust.
Has there ever been a vehicle that you just wouldn't detail due to the disrepair of it
Yard Geek video: watched. Now it's time to watch a car get cleaned.
I have watched you for years now and this is one I am actually disappointed in.
The inside has seen a lot of gravel, and so has the windscreen probably, given all the cracks on it
I was thinking of you the other day when I saw a red car that looked like half the paint was missing. I wondered what you would think of it!
Earlyyy ure videos are so satisfying
In most of Europe, if you even as much as TRIED to get the annual inspection done with that car, they'd first laugh their arses off and then kick you off the premises.
I'd love to see some videos dedicated just to your guitar work. :)
I always find myself more and more jealous of your vacuum.
