He's a bit more sensible than Lemme - but hey that's why Lemme was Lemme - He sure as hell never backed up - RIP Lemme Edit - I like Jack - he's cool - here's the rub - let these folks answer the question - they are interesting and like the format
I’m disappointed I’m 2 years late to this podcast, but Chris Knight really is like the Quentin Tarantino of country music because a lot of it has some pretty dark and somber tones but in the best way possible
First Chris Knight song I learned was “It ain’t easy being me.” Finally saw him for the 1st time on my b-day last December at Eddie’s Attic. I thanked him for being such an influence and shook his hand. Meant a whole lot to me. Also…. complete b.s. he’s never been asked to A.C.L., their loss. I love the way he cares about his songs and and how humble he is cause “it aint easy has 8 chords, 9 if you wanna be technical with a regular C and that Csus2 or add9. Hell, when I was younger even my punk friends loved Chris Knight. Real is real and us fans that do appreciate it….rlly appreciate it.
You damn right!!! Chris Knight should do Austin City Limits, he’s a great singer songwriter,I’ve hung out with Chris, what you see is what you get, that’s what makes him so great
Chris comes off as rural and roughand it's not an act, but if you have even paid a little bit of attention to his songs he is way intellgent and deep, and his writing is on par with any of the great songwriters.
I live in a rural area but - I was born in the country - there is a difference - This guy is from the country - We may not be as articulate as the next fella in line at the local feed store but i can pick a decent guitar - Chris is funny too - his humor is the desert on top of a great country dinner before heading out to the quarry or off to ride a horse or 3

It makes me really sad when he talks about playing in Kentucky. I live a county over from Chris and no one will book him here. It is something I will never understand.
He is a great great songwriter. His voice is rough and uncut, not the best voice around, but very effective for the lyrics it projects. He is pure t. Kentucky, and you can not duplicate that.
Chris is up there with Townes, Steve, Coe, John, and Guy. Then there is you stuck with Keith, Craig, and all this new stuff. It's all good music, but how will be in annals?
First time I heard "Send a Boat", I had to sit in the parking lot and collect myself, before going in to work.
Most of y’all prolly won’t get this, but Chris is the Lemmy of country music.

I totally get it. Outside of the meth and booze. No disrespect to Lemmy. Rip.
Chris don't give two shits lol

Big fan of Chris Knights music. I'm glad I got to know him a little.
I'd love to meet this dude - everything he is saying I can totally relate to - the same kind of music - and I'm from rural KY -

Freaking awesome show buddy
Where does a guy get a hat like that
If you’ve never taken a tour underground of an actual coal mine, you have no idea of what rural Americans went through to make a dollar.
Pennsylvania is a commonwealth too
I’m William Callahan
Used to be a rambling man

I feel like ....I tied an anvil to him
Get Chris back on
hell yea
Please tell the drummer to stop
Did he go through a wood chipper by mistake? What's up with Chris's arms?
