In 1973, I was 18 years old. That was my first year in Men at Maharashtra State Cycling Championships. I defeated the State Champion in 1000 metres Sprint but I got defeated by someone whom I had defeated in 1972 among Boys under 18. I could not take the defeat. At home, I went on staring at my bicycle. Then, an idea struck me. My front sprocket was of 23 Teeth. I removed it and replaced it with a sprocket of 24 teeth. However, when we increase the gear ratio, we have to use more energy also. Two days later, I went with my father to the stadium and clocked 13.9 seconds for 200 metres. I had reduced my timing from 14.4 to 13.9, almost half a second by changing the gear ratio.
Next year, in 1974, I won with a timing of 13.5 seconds. I also became the Fastest Cyclist in India in 1974 for the First Time at my First Appearance at the Nationals.
Later, I could bring it down to 13 seconds. My fastest was 12.4 seconds. By the Grace of God, I remained Fastest Cyclist in Maharashtra from 1974 to 1983 (10 years) and became National Cycling Champion 4 times.
Today, I am an old man. A fused bulb. But still alive and kicking. By the Grace of God.

hi there did you see any mileage difference ?
On close inspection there is little to no gap in between front sprocket and bottom rod. If you chain get lose it will be continued rubbing against the rod.... correct me if am wrong..
You are absolutely ride. But it's also an indication to tighten the chain slack.
What about engine refinement (vibration/buzz) post front sprocket change, is it better at high speeds?
It's very peppy and quiet responsive.
How did you fix the rubbing during upshift?
It will disappear after 700kms my friend.

NICE video man. I have three queries.
1. Does this change the creeping voice of the chain. ( If it does i am going to change it right away)
2. Does this change your top end speed. ( Right now I have topped 135 max on my Ronin)
3. After this change do you notice any change in HP and torque ? ( I am planning to upgrade my air filter.)
@@sultanquadri5987 Hi Sultan, 1) Chain noise is not bothering on my bike, since I lube with gear oil every 500kms 2) Bike cruises easily till 110. I did not get chance to test top end yet.
3) Bike feels livelier and more power packed, which you can see in other racing video against RE.
