Rob, my best bits were cut, I didn’t even get a mention for 3rd place but has a couple of walk past moments and a good drive off the 1st, even for a lefty, this is a good video mate and I’m glad your fully supporting Liam too, he’s a good guy 👍
Hey mate, i started playing this season and im currently at 20 handicap starting from 54. Just wanted to say Cheers for the content and every great advice! Thanks from Sweden
Fair play to Liam for doing this, he didn't really have anything to gain playing the match only the potential for embarrassment. But he played it and gave us a lot of valuable insights and advice. Cheers.
I found your channel on you tube and decided to make Golf my retirement hobby. I have never played golf so decided that I just want a handicap. I started working hard at the local driving range after a few lessons. The local golf club do a taster membership of one week discounted. My first round I was on my own so after the first hole played two balls. I went round in 105 and 120. I am now hooked and have joint , just hope wife never finds out the cost ,I just want the handicap so can play in comps. My equipment is 10 year old Ping A few things that helped me an old player is something you said I am not trying to get good but not be bad , I work on keeping ball in play not taking any great risks. I would ban drivers for under 18 handicaps, the timesI see somebody hit a £500 driver short topped or in the deep rough. I hit a fairway wood of of the tee and mostly it is about 160 yards but in play. I get about 90 yards from a 9 iron.and about 10 yards a club difference my irons stop at 6 and I have a few fairway woods When I go to the driving range I “play a round “ that is I play a wood then an iron then a wedge. My driving range loads the ball I see people get in a grove and never move there stance ,good for muscle memory but I feel you should at least walk away and set up each time. So thank you for getting me into golf. And I really mean thank you Doug
Thanks so much for this comment, Doug. I'm absolutely chuffed to bits to have played any part in helping you get into the game. It sounds like you've got a great approach to it too. I really hope you keep enjoying it and please do keep me posted. Maybe get the wife involved next?!
Just discovered your videos - love the content and the humour. Very watchable, and I got some really great information that has got me thinking about the way that I play. Thanks!
Good video and great content as usual mate.. Liam's a top lad for running that for the amateurs the guy's will take away alot from days like that so well done Liam and keep up the good work Rob 🤘
Great vid Rob. Looks like a fun day was had; shame I couldn’t make it but I know on the hole with the stately home at the end I would have pulled my drive into the trees so really it was disaster avoided😉
I'm starting to appreciate your channel more here in America. Most of those swings were awful but I give them an A for effort. Liam is a fine gentlemen, I hope to see him here one of these days in the future! 2 hcp by the way, Liam's insight will help me.
What a great day that was, playing with you and Liam made it all the more special! Can’t recommend TGN highly enough as it’s such a unique and genuinely ground braking in what it does for its members! Can’t believe I made this video with a few shots and an interview so thanks for making me RUclips famous mate 👍🏻🏌🏻♂️😂
Jack Evans Liam will answer any question put to him and updates us of his day to day life and experiences! Puts a lot of content on there like tip videos, tpi exercise videos, course management ideas and Facebook live Q&A sessions! It’s great to have his insight into all things golf! The social side with all the other members is just as rewarding as the stuff Liam does because it’s like a big group of mates now that are always there for support/banter etc 🏌🏻♂️👍🏻
my mate thinks your boring but it must be an age thing as i like your content mate great vlog love this kind of vlog splits out the same old look at me on the course keep up the good work like it and liam is a proper decent guy mate.
I think Liam is planning a golf trip to Florida early next year so keep an eye out for that. It's only on Facebook but you can always just setup an account if you did want to join.
The same way all the pros hit this far. Force=Mass X Acceleration. To increase the force you need to increase the acceleration of your mass. Most amateurs swing with their arms and their hips are busy blocking each other with the left hip blocking the right hip and nullifying any force from the largest amount of "mass" in his body. So to get the same results start by working on hip movement. So imagine you are addressing the ball. North is toward the ball. South is away from the ball. West is toward the target and East is away from the target. The correct hip movement is for your left hip to go North just a couple inches on the back swing and then strongly west toward the target. The right hip makes a hook pattern south east, south, south west and then strongly west. Weight needs to be on your heels. This is virtually the exact opposite of how most amateur players move their hips. Most have the left hip heading east in the back swing and the right hip moving very little. Then the left hip swings forward and blocks the right hip as it tries to come through. All that built up energy is lost in poor hip movement and poor weight transfer.

Great work mate, keep it up! 👏
Good stuff chaps! Met Liam yesterday at Ascot and he came across really well in person too. Keep up the good work both of you.
This is an excellent insight into how to warm up for a competitive round of golf. Thanks for posting.
Liam’s such good bloke. 👍
Cheers Rob I shall take a look, enjoyed seeing all the different swings! Keep on keeping on!!
I sent Liam a video of my swing and he came back very quickly with advice and a drill to try. Really worked

Love the mix of pro thinking vs a good hobby golfer. Helps me so much more with my game than other videos on YT.
Keep it going lads.
Cheers Sam, great to hear.

Great vid Rob. Looks like a fun day was had; shame I couldn’t make it but I know on the hole with the stately home at the end I would have pulled my drive into the trees so really it was disaster avoided😉
Don't know anyone who'd do that... Still made par though!
Great vlog as usual Rob, great to see the work that Liam is doing. Hope your golf is still going well after the last vlog. Take it easy mate
Makes me wish I lived there so I could attend an outing. Looks like a blast.
Great video as always Rob, thanks for not including my tee shot on the 1st, although it might have been good to see where it went wrong haha
Damnit, how did I leave that out?! Will get you next time!
Scratch Golf haha not a problem though 😉
What a silky smooth swing! Hits it as far as DJ too.

I edited out some of the worst ones! I think Liam is organising a trip to the States early next year - keep an eye out!

Good to see Alastair Cook preparing for life after cricket...
Wish I could have gone but Florida is a bit of a trip. I have loved this series. Any options for those not on Facebook?

Who was the name that was thrown out around 10 and 1/2 minutes? The one that he talks about hitting straight.
Tyrrell Hatton
Which course did you play Rob ?
Heythrop Park
Nice easy swing!
Great work
What a sick man, casually chatting and flushing the shit outta the ball #beast
Such a pure swing
You mean me, right?! ;)
@@RobMcGarr of course I do
How do we join?
You can email Liam tourgolfnetwork@gmail.com and he'll sort you out
Good stuff
9 iron 175 ? In the UK ?
Sure I hit mine 190 and I'm 12 and playing in the north pole. I'm great
Your videos are good, but please invest in some kind of stabilization tech. Just search amazon for "gimbel stabilizer." They run about $100
Will have a look 👍
175yrd 9 iron , thats mental
Ya, that's crazy. Would love to know how far the driver goes
320-330
I’d love to hear the thoughts on how he does this. Is it just natural strength?
I heard that and thought all I would need is driver, 9iron and wedges lol
The same way all the pros hit this far. Force=Mass X Acceleration. To increase the force you need to increase the acceleration of your mass. Again another late comment by me:
I would love to join up but er I live in Australia dam it! Long swim.
Finally, some original content.. /s
My advice, learn to hit the ball straight :-)
Good advice!
