@@markwhite5465 I surfed Morocco in late 70s, many sessions at a right point, Bouznika. I recently saw a photo of the point, now completely covered with high end looking homes, condos, was shocking. There weren't any structures on the point when I was there.

When I first visited bingin in 1993, there was no electricity or running water. I stayed for free at Kelly warung paying only for food and drinks on a honor system marked down in a book then pay when you leave. The beds were rock hard with only a thin woven mat on top. Board bags as mattresses. Dreamlands so empty it really was like a dream.
Showing their concern😂? I've been in Bali in the 90's and returned in 2007. The change was already drastic with houses build on the cliffs. Uluwatu was overbuild............ If people were really concerned, they would stop visiting Bali, as I decided in 2007. But the crowds keep getting bigger and bigger, pollution a real issue. Just a big human joke, driving straight in the big wall of no return.
Read some story awhile back about how the Indonesian govt wants to build "10 new Bali's" across the country. They were given one of the most beautiful places on earth, and they are doing everything they can to destroy it.
Surfed there in 1981. Not one single development on the cliffs. You had to walk in almost 2k to get to ULU's as no driveable road existed. Why are you so concerned now as Bali is pretty much a dump site already. One more crumb of dump isn't going to change Paradise-Lost.
My main concern is the rainforest in Sumatra and Borneo, but the Indonesian govt has already destroyed it and put all their animals on endangered species lists
Especially in Indonesia. They've torched 150 million year old rainforests (with the animals in them) to set up Palm Oil plantations...Palm Oil...And they're planning on torching Papua soon.
so happy i got to experience it in the early 80s when the cliffs were still empty , last trip was over 25 yrs ago could see the beginning of the end even then ,, told myself id never go back , every time i see a new video i new i made the right choice ,, cant imagine how nasty it must be now for starters where is all that sewage going ? all these houses and resorts u no dammed well there is zero infrastructure ,, nasty nasty nasty
At uluwatu, the raw sewage leaks onto the walkway and drips down to the cave. There is a constant drip of sewage onto the beach. I think this area will get 10x developed over the coming years, as the land value continues to rise.
The blame should start where … who allows this? Whose land was it to start with? Where’s the regulations being implemented? … but blame always shifted! Never anyone’s fault!… and money is god! It supersedes everything there!… logic, respect, integrity, honesty, morals…
@@OffDaLip Oh for sure. couldn't agree more. just feel like the surf industry and by extension surfers who have commercial infuence also contribute in a way.
It looks pretty overdeveloped already.
Stopped going indo 7yr ago.. been going annual since 97....its totally ruined
Agree. Still can’t believe the things I’ve seen Russians and Western Europeans do here
its happening in Lombok now....they are destroying South Lombok
its a nothingburger compared to the sea wall they built in the sickest section of nikkos
true
Now they’ve built 4 more sea walls there mate 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

1995 I surfed Nusa Dua and at the end of the beach they had heavy equipment excavating the reef in front of the hotel being built.
I was there 10 yrs later and it was terrible back then..you could see the problems that Ullu's was going to get..same thing has happened in Morocco..

Dumping the land into the sea. Another spot ruined by greedy land owners and consumers.
