There is the alternate theory that all Monoma did was copy One For All's original quirk, the Power Stockpiler. Sure, it technically worked but there was no power previously cultivated to draw upon, leaving him with a flashy lightning effect at best.
But chances are he’ll never learn about the quirk so he’d never know to do that. But if he did their would be a weaker OFA running around unless it was purposely rapidly passed on to people to build it up. But that’s a death sentence so… can’t imagine many would be willing.
Im pretty sure thats what happened, he copied the quirk, but there was no power inside of it, as it says 'its a dud' which shows that his power doesnt have any power in it
Monoma was hasty in this moment. Even if he could have used One For All, he more than likely would have ended up with a broken body at least, if not having his arm blown off. If he's going to copy a quirk he needs to pay attention and look for any weaknesses or drawbacks.
Monoma would only have broken bones at worse. Its stated that deku upon entering ua was one of the physically weakest students in the hero course without his quirk(even grape kid and invis girl beat him in a overall physical)
it explains it in a few episodes, but now you can only find the explanation in the manga. Its because his body cant handle this quirk as well as other quirks, so it doesnt depend on if ofa is passed down or not-
@@vasisstupid not really, the manga’s explanation is that one for all is power “storage”, not super power, so technically Monoma did copied one for all, just not the power stored inside the quirk for 8 generations
@@zenjirutaiki413 i mean, that should teach him some modesty, everyone there gained their place, hell if that fight showed us something is that even mineta can, so him having his arms destroyed would show him that deku did tried hard to get to where he is
Sooooooooo, that's a yes and a no. Toga can only copy the user's appearance and voice, and monoma can only copy the nature of a quirk, for example, it can copy bakugou's quirk, but not fatgum. Well, he can do it but he won't be able to use it.
Hah! Well too bad he doesn't even know how to use it, he thought its just about little sparkles and that's that. well it's about breaking every bone in your body
I wonder if at some point, if anything were to ever happen to deku, if it would be monoma that kicks off a new generation of one for all since it’s essentially just a quirk that gains power through being passed from person to person. If he were to copy it before deku gets taken out of the picture and then pass it down quickly I wonder if it would retain it’s ability to gain power.
Monoma: "I thought Green lightnings and theme music would be enough."
Uraraka: Well you thought wrong

That...actually makes total sense.

@@Robert-xn7ov You forget the 5 minute time limit. It's as he says, Deku's quirk is a dud to him.
Julius Kresnik who’s to say it stays his quirk once it’s been passed on.

Phantom Thief Full Cowling
That green lightning… bro could use full cowling off rip 💀
Yeah it was only a mental block that midoriya had lol

Honestly? He probably knew from the Sports Festival what would happen and accepted that he'd have broken bones.
true
I dont think his arms would blow off. All might said that when midoriya was a skinny 14 yr old, monoma is almost a pro hero

I was waiting for him to just go “Puff”
Dude was a bout to crumple like thin paper in a storm
He probs can't use it since one for all has to be passed down willingly.
He can use it cause it has the electricity and it's only temporary...but his body will probably just explode cause he's not trained for it.

When you try to copy a dude's quirk even though he constantly destroyed his own body when he first started using it
Yeah... Smart move.
He used full cowl, for his first time it's not bad
He used full cowling
When I first watched this, I genuinely thought that he was gonna die right there after exploding.
i commented on another comment and just realized
Toga has a copycat quirk
and so does Monoma

It would only last for 5 minutes.
He would be permanently giving away his quirk to someone else. And then that person will lose one for all and cannot transfer it to the next person.
@@RKNancywhy would they lose OFA? As soon as he passes it down, it becomes a "real" quirk

It wouldnt be that powerful for him he copied the quirk but the quirk itself isnt powerful its the stockpile thats powerful

wait, in the manga, did not monoma copy just black whip? not only that, also it wasn't the same. or am i wrong?
he copied just one for all, not any powers or charge stored into the stockpiling part.
