    Having a Plan and having confidence were my favorite tips.
    My number 1 problem is keep my confidence and swagger in the batter box. I know how great I can be and I’m not always living up to my own expectations and the part when you talked about your teammate calling you a rally killer really resonates with me because I can name tons of player that I have overheard talk about me. I’m learning to get over this bum in the road by reminding my self constantly that they don’t matter and I’m playing to be the best version of my self. I started to rant but this video helped me out. Thank you!

    Plan of attack and confidence💯 I play in an adult league and most of these guys played minor leagues even big leagues and a lot of AA, I only got as far as high school ball and sub 21, ruptured my Achilles tendon when I was 19 didn’t wanna play again, confidence is key 💪🏼 My glove is good grounders don’t get past me at first and I could pick anything from the ground up, but in the league I play you got a hit, thanks to your videos little by little I’m getting up there with some guys that I really good baseball players💪🏼💯

    Great video. Lots of folks chasing mechanics, but not connecting the importance of approach and mindset. Just found your channel tonight and love all the content I’ve seen so far. Will be watching these with my boy tomorrow. Thank you!

    • @JermaineCurtis55
      @JermaineCurtis55  4 года назад +1

      Thank you! Yeah, youre right a lot of parents chase mechanics, and they are right to a point, but I would work the other way around to be honest.
      I would work to create a kid to have a strong mindset/and approach. The right mindset, and st the same time, build mechanics.
      Look, your mechanics are going to evolve. What you do today will change in a year or 2 when it comes to mechanics. Everything evolves. The pitchers get better, catchers get better, etc But, if you have the right mindset, from the beginning , when the kid struggles because pitchers or hitters will learn to make adjustments quicker, than they will not let the struggle beat them....and they will move forward and pass everyone.
      When I started this channel, I made 100 videos. I coukd barely get any subscribers. But, those 100 videos allowed me to understand what I was doing...taught me to edit...etc. and now my videos are better and people are following.
      Just like everything in life, you evolve. But, a strong confident mind, beats anything.
      I've played with a lot of players who looked amazing in the batters box but couldn't hit. I also played with players who had terrible seings but were very good hitters. Keep the mind strong and continue to develop mechanics

      Pros Cave Baseball love it, man. I sincerely hope your channel continues to grow. Your response is thoughtful, detailed and a perfect example of how we can use baseball to teach our kids to excel in life on and off the field. Good stuff!
      Also wanted to say thanks for being the first channel (that I’ve seen anyway) that dissects different aspects of the swing and then correlates the drills/thought processes that can be used as building blocks to connect the kids to what their heroes are doing. This is like a map to where the treasure is buried. Thanks again. Continued success!

    My biggest problem is teaching players to hit with consistency. I coach 14u travel ball and my kids are not students of the game and don't have mental confidence. Tried to teach this but it seems like the lack of passion and commitment for the game is driving their issues.

    • @JermaineCurtis55
      @JermaineCurtis55  4 года назад

      That's a huge part of it. If they don't want it, there is nothing you can do. They have to want to be good to become good.

    You think in practice,you react in games.Thinking slows your swing down and keeps you swinging out of your zone…Confidence is everything and what improves confidence is your work ethic whether you go 0-4 or 4-4,keep putting in that work!! Hunt the fastball with an approach where you are ready to hit every pitch with a selectively aggressive approach,immerse yourself in every pitch as Tony Gwynn,Juan Soto,Mike Trout and you will be a better hitter.Hit pitches that keep you balanced! Pretty pitch equates to a pretty swing and an ugly pitch,well you know..Own that box!! It’s really 🫵🏽vs.🫵🏽 what are you going to do is the question 🤷🏽
