I just wanted to pop on to say that I received my unit a few days ago and I'm absolutely loving it. The screen is gorgeous, the controls are responsive, the speaker is loud and clear and the overall build quality is solid as a brick. It's also refreshing to see the unit come with modern games rather than the same old ones we already have on our PC's. There are a few negative comments regarding the price but I think it's worth spending that bit extra on a custom built system that does a single job well. It's so much slicker than 'just an emulator', it's an obvious labour of love. It really feels like a whole new way of playing Speccy. Man, I'm loving it - Thanks for making me feel young again. :)
I’ll stick to my DSi XL with ZXDS I think. 256x192 pixel perfect and customisable keyboard on bottom screen. Fits in my pocket and goes everywhere with me.
If this come's with 200+ games already installed before having to add all my own with the provided SD Card i'll probably buy one ! Lets see some well known early 80s classics on it,
The built-in display is a 7" diagonal IPS screen with a resolution of 1024x600. The left and right d-pad buttons are on separate small PCBs that can be replaced with an ordinary Philips screwdriver. On these small PCBs there are four Omron B3F-1050(0.98N) tactile switches.
We are currently developing a new firmware. Creating a user dashboard is on the list of tasks, the only question is whether it will be in this firmware release or in the next one.
@retrocomputerselmarelectro8636 I'm very interested in this device.. I do have an Odin 2 for emulation but I love how this has had a lot put into it as a dedicated Zx Spectrum... especially being able to map keys and save them per individual game....
Mine isn't holding a charge, if I'm reading the manual right, red led when charger connected, green led is lit when charging, and solid red only when 100%. Does this mean that you get both red and green when charging? I've tried three cables that I know work. When I plug in the USB both red and green light up but only the red for a second, and the screen display says charging, then the screen goes off. I push the USB in all the way and I get the green led and nothing on the screen. I can use it plugged in fine but it won't charge up. Should I leave it charging longer or because the red led does not stay on is the battery simply not receiving any charge? I have tried plugging it via USB hub, and directly into the wall, and two different USB plug chargers.
£220!!!!!!! What a joke and all you get are 22 games. I honestly can’t believe people are excited for this. I had a Spectrum 48k back in the day and loved it but in no way would I be willing to spend that amount of money for nostalgia.
Looks good, but im afraid you lost me at that price point, for the level of low spec hardware you're getting, it shouldn't be costing anywhere near £220, even if the games are licenced, which Evercade seem to do be able to do for as littles as £50, i wish you guys the best of luck, but this one just isn't for me.
This is awful! That is not a portable ZX Spectrum! We want a laptop. ZX Touch looks like garbage. It even has goddamn LEDs!!! For Pete's sake, computer shell should not have more colors than the computer screen! The best portable ZX Spectrum touchscreen experience that I had is ZXDS on Nintendo DS. It at least has a keyboard and lots of options.

Looks like an amazing device! I purchased it and will be working on a RUclips review video :)
What a fantastic device for spectrum fans! :)

@@retrocomputerselmarelectro8636 great. Ordered one :-)
Well, it's a lot better than the Vega...
But kinda expensive...
Where did you get your rom list from sir please as I have brought o.e😊
Feel free to contact us via email. Thank you!
Can you add boxart for the games on your sd card?
Not currently, but we intend to add it in future firmware versions.
I'll keep my eye on this.. very tempted to get one if you enable box art for our own games off the sd card.
