I appreciate this story because it’s known superstitions in our culture about finding a good resting place for your elders and you shall prosper but this story is so vague. It says so much to say nothing at all besides repeating that we should always do good and help the less fortunate. Sounds like this grandpa intends to keep his secret goods to the grave anyways, only told to boast. Could’ve lived without hearing this one. The Chinese are digging the Hmong graves back in our ancestors old villages so much hopefully these beliefs don’t just become myths in the future if the Chinese destroys them with their greed.

This story started off very good, but resulted in many contraindications toward the end.
Right? I was thinking the same. The story starts off with a Chinese man sharing his wealth of knowledge. Then the uncle contradicts the whole story at the end that they will not help you.

@microbiologist50 number 4 is an unlucky number; house that has a road leading directly to it is a no no -> your in the way; house with front door leading straight to the back door is a no no -> money will enter and exit; when burying an elder, choose a location that is on top of hill like, never at the bottom of the hill; that's all I know... trying to learn more.
