I love this little quaint town nestled in the beautiful mountains. I’ve visited this town several times a year and never tire of it. While there, I’ve seen several shows performed at the old opera house. I’ve since relocated to Florida and can no longer do my many trips back to this beautiful place but I still have all intentions of returning. This still remains one of my beloved places to visit!! Places to stay: The Inn at Jim Thorpe!! Things to do: train ride through the mountains, Packer Mansion, the old jail and the museum.

Agree, it is a quaint town, i bet in the winter, it looks really pretty/cozy ski town.
@@RoamAmbie A picture perfect Christmas town! The bells on the tower will chime Christmas music and you hear it throughout! I love that place!
Does anyone know if Poconos is a good place for skiiing?
It's great for beginners and families
its no where close to what Switzerland is like but it will do...
Blue Mountain is probably my favorite of the Pocono ski resorts, and it's not too far from Jim Thorpe.
If you're already that far into the middle of nowhere, just go a little further into NY state, better skiing there.
