  • We can talk about anxiety as an internal path to creativity, fulfillment, and self-knowledge. And we can also talk about anxiety the way Kierkegaard does in The Concept of Anxiety as serving a universal purpose.

“An adventure that every human being has to live through, learning to be anxious so as not to be ruined either by never having been in anxiety or by sinking into it. Whoever has learned to be anxious in the right way has learned the ultimate.”
To buy Kierkegaard’s The Sickness Unto Death: amzn.to/3iPxdwl
“The greatest hazard of all, losing one’s self, can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. No other loss can occur so quietly; any other loss - an arm, a leg, five dollars, a wife, etc. - is sure to be noticed.”
    To buy Kierkegaard’s Either/Or: A Fragment of Life: amzn.to/3qJWZVd
“...even the richest personality is nothing before he has chosen himself, and on the other hand even what one might call the poorest personality is everything when he has chosen himself; for the great thing is not to be this or that but to be oneself, and this everyone can be if he wills it.”

Can we imagine a life without Anxiety? It would be a dystopian world, without the endless striving that compels us as thinkers and readers; we would remain inert, mediocre even-and, at the very worst, ‘passionless.’ Kierkegaard’s analyses prove how accurate he was as a “psychologist.”

I am pursuing a PhD in Philosophy in Ireland and my dissertation is on Kierkegaard. The analysis of this young woman is more e clear and accurate than almost all I have heard. Keep up the excellent work 👍
