- Another Haruki Murakami review is up on this channel! Really looking forward to the time when I get to talk about all of his books. In this video, I talk about his latest release, The City and Its Uncertain Walls.
This one felt more contemplative than profound. But it’s always nice to come home to Murakami, isn’t it? His words feel strangely comforting and familiar. How he connects themes of memory, time, identity, dreams, love, and the blurred lines between reality and the surreal.
Whether you’re a seasoned reader of his words or just curious about his most recent release as a good gateway into his magical realism, this book is definitely worth reading no matter where you are in your reading journey. It’s light, contemplative, and melancholic.
Books mentioned:
1. Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami
2. The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle - Haruki Murakami
3. Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World - Haruki Murakami
Film mentioned:
1. Taste of Cherry - Abbas Kiarostami

Your reviews are so in-depth and intellectual. It makes me want to read more! ❤
She added her own streaks of insights in addition to suggesting reverse engineer the read❤❤❤
Best review of a book.. really like the in-between paragraph reading ...
Your channel is my favorite truck with meditative content. And I'm a little jealous that the book was published in english, I understand english well, but I'll be waiting for the russian edition.
Very compelling reviews. Thanks!
Really enjoyed your thoughtful review. It reminded me of Stoner by John Williams, I loved the book for its quiet exploration of life's struggles and resilience. Interestingly, I found a subtle parallel between Stoner and the movie Perfect Days-both beautifully capture the profound in the ordinary. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Stoner and also the Movie perfect days..

Will there be "Watch a day club" for cinema? Lowkey hoping ☺️

@saintpablo5594 Yes, I had no plan to read that book I picked it up suddenly on my recent visit to the book market. I have known about the movie since its release and was quite surprised to find it as the first story.
