Yes, the first 7 minutes of this video are just me talking, and it's important. The stuff about AU or Alternate Universe is stupid in this community when everyone is a jump skip away from knowing its actual meaning. When it comes to this channel anyone who visits or stops by, I want or rather NEED to avoid some confusion, because there is an obvious misconception of the genre that is being bloated way WAY out of portion here. In the long run, this won't change much of anything. But when people come to my channel there's only the fact, not the narrow-minded view or opinion of it. It's being so heavily crippled-- like the actual definition is being altered by these people. Not here, not on my channel. Within my channel, I'm going to be using its true definition and true meaning, End of the story.
I'm going to enforce this so that at the end of the day, anyone subbed to me or NOT, WILL understand at the end of the day what defines an AU. I'm helping people here because when you eventually understand half the stuff I put in my videos. It'll be a lot better knowing you weren't misled by complete and utter lies. I'm not trying to sound bigger than I am, but it's hard to range the knowledge people HAVE in this community and from where I sit, from where I stand. A lot of people have a wrong opinion of what an Alternate universe is, and if you do know and still post crap like that then you're even worse of a person. Because then you're only doing it out of complete hate and nothing else.
Like I said in the video, there is NO excuse for dismissing the true definition of an Alternate universe and continuing to use that false definition everyone seems to have taken an interest in.

I absolutely loved it, I am just thinking of the absolute beatdown that little glitch bunny is receiving from William and its making me proud. Also don't listen to the AU haters, in my opinion; they're just attention seekers that most likely say the same thing to other Fnaf GachaTubers so keep your chin high and (hopefully) never end this series anytime soon
Responding to your au talk. Sure, people ignore its "not canon". But it has come to the point where it is no longer "your au" and, but a large portion of theentire fandom's au.

People keep saying “Making it an AU isn’t an excuse” and sometimes it makes me want to smack them. An Alternate Universe of your making is literally the perfect excuse to not follow the canon.

@@jakubgrono9070 It's clear you don't understand what an 'Alternate Universe' is, you don't, so don't come claiming you do. However, you are incorrect on a lot of things because this video is just a reaction video and like many people before you that posted here they haven't seen any of my story videos regarding the matter and think that everything I do is that of a 5 year old who doesn't explain anything.
First, I didn't change the 'entire' lore or "change it completely to the point it doesn't even resemble the original" like you think, basing your entire comment off this single video. Is a bit ridiculous.
Making a slight change to the story by making William an actual decent human being doesn't affect the story and doesn't paint the story completely different like you are so desperate to claim. You make it sound like William being a good guy immediately makes the entirety of the FNAF lore unrecognizable. That's faulty logic.
I didn't 'create' a new villain, Glitchtrap isn't new, I created Glitchtrap from pieces of William's soul and twisted it around with agony to allow Glitchtrap to think for itself. You would know this, if you bothered to learn about it from my other videos. You asked me earlier this "Why did you make willam and glitchtrap seperate? Why?"" well, here is the answer.
In my AU story, I had William experiment with agony and eventually trying to replicate and create remnant to bring back his children. His children die, despite his good nature because he still creates Baby's ice cream feature that ends up still killing Elizabeth and Chris still gets bullied by Michael. William in all of his experiments gets into an accident that puts him into a 'Near-Death Experience' which is when your 'soul' departs from your body halfway. This, along with all the agony infused objects around the room make it so that 3 pieces of William's soul is transposed into these objects and twisted with the strongest of William's emotions "AT THE TIME" of transposition. Glitchtrap, contains his rage and anger. reattach himself to William and completes the cycle of children deaths that THE GAMES create.
The other two souls go to create two other Glitchtraps which I call "Digital Glitchtrap" and "Lonely Glitchtrap"
The Glitchtrap that attaches itself to William gets destroyed in a video called "Glitchtrap's Origins: Finale" which details all of the events I just described above. In total there is 4 souls. 1 soul is inside William, 1 inside Glitchtrap(Child killer), 1 inside Digital Glitchtrap, and 1 inside Lonely Glitchtrap. There's his creation, his backstory.
One question I have to ask? With how I created Glitchtrap in my AU, Are you seriously going to tell me? That Glitchtrap and William are technically separate? Or are you going to see the true meaning behind what it is I did? Because I'm pretty sure the answer is obvious.
It annoys me that people come into these videos and just simply refuse to accept that it's possible for Alternate Universe "What-If" scenarios involving William and Glitchtrap can happen and are possible. Just because you can't think of anything? doesn't mean it isn't possible. Everything I do regarding the two character, in fact, IS possible. You simply refuse to see it that way.

This is one of the best AU Talks I’ve heard, Good to see another who defends the prospect of AUs from canon-loving dorks who love to come on AU videos and complain that it’s not going according to Canon.
It’s says it in the TITLE “AU”, it should be common knowledge at this point that the only true Canon AU to FNAF is the Book Series which is in a different universe, all else are Fan-made which can be either very close to Canon or have their own original story.
Case in point; TLDR; Don’t come to AU videos and complain/bitch about that it isn’t Canon when you already know it isn’t Canon and are only really negatively commenting or saying “iT’s NoT cAnOn” because you’re bored and feel like pestering folks >_>

One of the reasons I've been tolerant of people speaking about AU in the wrong way is mostly chalked up to this. They might just be...misunderstanding or not comprehending what it is I'm saying or doing or other people for that matter. This is why in my au story videos I try to explain a lot of what is happening rather then skip over it. I can't have everything left to peoples imagination. Not in a community like this one where people go too far off the mark. That's the whole mess with this AU/Alternate Universe stuff to begin with.
My only goal here is that people who watch my videos will, at least, know about what truly defines an AU. I'm well aware most of the audiences for Gacha Club and life aren't expert level readers. It's causal, so I try to make things...easier by making sure I don't just lazy around and skip important details that will say "Hey, this is what THIS is" I could've hidden more details.
I also won't delete this comment. I have nothing against legit criticism. The comments that just ignore that, however, and just go into saying, it cannot be done because it's dumb? or it's silly? that the idea of this is...ridiculous? I mean it isn't, maybe for some reason because people are so annoyed by the amount of times they have to see shitty aus involving William and glitchtrap separately? But I've given my best to make it seem possible if events were different. So, I'd expect legitimate responses instead of "Can't happen, saying its an AU not an excuse" These comments leads me to believe they don't have any idea what an AUs at its core. Crippling and changing it's intended meaning in the process.
I didn’t expect to see them reacting WITH Glitchtrap of all people. Quite the twist indeed.
I know all of the things that go with AUs because I have made a character that jumps from AUs to AUs and protects the balance of multimultiverses (multiverse=universes stacked on universes multimultiverse= multiverses stacked on multiverses. To explain other things like books or movies that have a multiverse.) I fully understand and respect people who come up with ideas on AUs. I never thought William could be a good guy until I stumbled onto these videos. Now its my favorite AU for the Fnaf franchise. And Zachary is one of my favorite youtubers out there. I don't care what path he takes I will continue to watch these videos. P.S Ever since I made my character, I have been in deep thought for the past two years about how multiverses and universes work and all their different possibilities. Also I wish I could do stuff like Zachary and other Gacha tubers and express my AUs but I don't have the resources or the time to do any of this. If I did do this I would consider going to higher levels like full on animations o games. But tis a pipe dream. And I am realizing that this is super long and I am sorry for anyone who has to read this.

My only real problem with AU is more that there are so many of them compared to the accepted canon that some take them to be canon and then hate on the canon take.
Ex: each time someone correctly(by canon standard) says that CC bite is the 83 ones. There is a flow of comment that affirm it's the 87 (even if the fact that they are two separate bite is one of the few confirmed fact by Scot).
And the other thing (except of course the AU trope that I personally don't like) is more a that there is generally a lack of info givens about the change. Or that the consequence of the change are generally supper shallow.
Ex: if Ennard is a separate animatronics, then how did the rest escaped.
Yes, you know what, I've read people sharing the same thoughts on multiple occasions as well. It's fairly reasonable that some level of discord was made when in the early days a lot of misinformation was created with the sheer vast amount of Alternate Universes was created. And honestly, FNAF itself shares much of the blame overall because it's so heavily shrouded in mysterious and lore. What's real or fake. All these theories and all it takes a group of people to misunderstand that information, form their own theories and roll with that since, well, it seems logical to them. Despite it making no sense overall.
I understand where to draw the line when complaining about other haters. If someone is going around spreading misinformation, like telling their viewers their AU is canon. Then complaining about THAT is fair game, at least, to me it is. The problem mostly arises when nothing is allowed except...canon? and that this label, this genre, AU/Alternate Universe is like that of a Roblox game where whatever that other kid said must be true, let's roll with his use of the word and then it just goes down hill and suddenly every person and their mother is got this wrong idea about AUs. It's, honestly, kinda sad and rather infuriating.
If you are...concerned that I have nothing to show for my work other then a few lines of words on a random reaction video you found, then don't worry. I have 3 whole videos talking about the changes I've made to separate confusion. They are my timeline videos called "Characters" "Timeline" and "Glitchtrap" It's a 3 part explanation that involves why or how I went about certain changes. Obviously though, there might be some...weak foundations in a lot of stuff, I am by no means an expert at creating a story with a perfect structure, but...I've tried reducing as many plotholes as I can as time rolls forward. Even if I have to add information at some point once I thought of a clever workaround for it I will.
Sorry, If I talk so much. It's...kinda a habit at this point.

But for some, I pass the video to second guess what I understand about the Au presented and that break any immersion that I could've had otherwise.
I'm like du fuk, HOW DO PEOPLE NOW GET THE IDEA OF AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE THAT YOU ARE FORCED TO DO THAT LONG AS INTRO BIT. Dear gods how dumb do people get, like sure I could compair it to Canon timeline, but also like there is 2 or 3 Different Canon Timelines too The Games Timeline, The Silver Eyes Timeline, and the Fazbear Frights Timeline (which might be part of the Silver Eyes one). So at MINIMUM There is already 2 TIMELINES in the FNaF Canon.

My god if your going to make an au follow the way the undertale community does it (not the gacha one) its a alternate timeline NOT a alternate story which is why its so strongly hated because NOBODY FOLLOWED THE STORY and to be honest you shouldn’t take advice from 3 word comments. Of course, of course. Undertale is a prime example for Alternate Universes and yeah, I shouldn't really let the comments from youtube bother me, but I am also referring to those on reddit too, I just didn't screencap any of the comments I've seen from there. I also try to stray from the way Gacha creates their AUs. I follow the proper structure if you will. Undertale should honestly be the example to follow yet completely gets overlooked by this community. It's a shame.

Viewpoint is subjective in the context spoken here. Meaning, it can still mean different or alternate. At least, in the case of Silver Eyes series of books. There are events, still, in silver eyes that simply don't match the continuity of the games.
One big example is the fact William dies by being thrown or pulled into the furnace. This is not how he dies in the games, that detail alone. Makes it an Alternate event.
And all it takes is one...change to define it under that genre.

I have my own au of FNAF where William Afton (A. K. A myself) isn't a psychopath and did all the terrible things in order to resurrect His(my) family and I get some hate from people for just playing around but I don't let it get to me. You just keep doing what you love and don't let the haters get to you.
Actually that is true roleplayers get a lot of hate when sometimes they can get fun I am a roleplayer myself it's fun but someday this kind of people meet a bad roleplayer and started hating on all roleplayers

Ya know, re-watching this a year later, I think I found a reason people keep complaining about canon from an AU.
It's mainly because, as you, me, and most people who have a series of AUs know, most of what people watch in Gacha isn't the series; it's the reactions, and looking at the views in comparison to the series, it is a clear given. That said, people who find you or anyone else (who has an AU) from reactions most likely won't know what is in your AU unless they have been watching you for a long time. The reason they comment on this is because they want the original canon they grew up loving. Don't get it twisted. I know how wrong these people are. If it's an AU, then the creator of the AU can essentially do whatever they please. But the "line" people make up is mainly to protect the canon they loved from watching the many theories done. And that "line" really depends on who makes the lines in the Gacha community.
What I'm trying to say is that people find AUs in reactions. They wouldn't know what is in the AU, and they automatically assume the AU is a more "canon AU" (which wouldn't even be considered an AU if it was meant to be canon), and when they see that it isn't canon, they get mad and comment on what you see. Because what they're seeing contradicts what they loved for a while. Which is how they can completely miss the concept of AUs. But idk. That's just my thoughts based on what I have seen on Reddit and read in the comments.
And I know you have stopped doing reactions (or at least taken a break from them). However, if you start again, then, in my opinion, a good way to stop the hate in the comments is to replace the title of "FNAF reacts" to "Williams Tragedy reacts," as that is what the AU is called, or maybe put that in the description or the start of the video. The reason is that naming it "Fnaf" would give whoever finds your AU the impression that it is 100% Five nights at Freddy's And therefore, they'd expect nothing less and nothing more than "Five nights at Freddy's Lore." But calling it a different name might give the impression that it is a different lore and story, and they'd know it is a story that is different from the actual "FNAF," similar to how people make "Underswap reacts," and no one hates it how they hate this. Just a small suggestion. Honestly, this most likely wouldn't work, but it might. That's just a thought I had while seeing Undertale AUs and how they match the description of an alternative universe, so they aren't much different in idea. But that's just a thought I had. I understand what you saying. It's not exactly news to me. The idea of changing the title with the series name would have been a good idea, if not for the fact that the FNAF reacts is the most searched. Also, The title does contain the words AU for a reason.
I can't speak for the level of awareness people have, but to be blind to what the word means especially with how often it's used in this community, and how often people need to remind others of its meaning. It's basically impossible for others not to know what they are about to watch.
My series for the most part actually does follow the canon of the games closely. The differences are minor changes to characters and motivations, as well as the creation of Glitchtrap in another form. The rest is more or less the same.
The changes I made are the biggest problem since Glitchtrap being separate from William seems to be this...' It's going too far' Which it's not. I read many comments both from Reddit and youtube on the matter. So I came up with another method so that anyone complaining about it could easily be debunked and or, otherwise look stupid.
So I made it so William WAS the bad guy. Which sounds confusing right? William and his THREE other selves. Each Glitchtrap IS theoretically, William Afton. They all contain his soul as the base of their creation. The emotions they carried into their birth WERE William Aftons. Everyone wants William to be the bad guy, he is. All of them are, except ONE. The proper William. That means I can make William Afton how I wanted and have Glitchtrap separate and make him exactly how he should be. Glitchtrap being created with the EXACT same intentions as Game Canon William Afton is how I made the series follow the canon. Glitchtrap simply possesses William and does exactly the same things as his Game Canon counterpart. And since Glitchtrap is William's soul reborn into this angry entity. Everything works out exactly as intended. Not a single person can say otherwise. Especially those dumb enough to say that it's impossible to functionally have Glitchtrap before his proper creation like in the games. Except, you can, IF you use the constant use of souls, agony, remnant and everything else that literally combines and or creates life in some twisted way.
Now, no one can say anything to me like "William IS Glitchtrap. He's not separate" Because, William or the 'Williams' ARE Glitchtrap, haha, so funny.
Moral of the story is...Ignorance. It's all ignorance. Just because you don't know something, doesn't mean you can say whatever you want and have it be correct. I told someone a very long time ago, that I had videos explaining what was going on-- on my channel. But the person just said I'm not going to watch those videos or weren't going to be forced to watch my other videos just to understand the context of the reaction. Which, all I have to say that is...Not my problem. Just because he says whatever it is he said, means nothing. He wants to know he can go watch, if not, so what. He's wrong, end of story.
It's not that I don't know FNAF, or I never played FNAF. I have an 8 hour stream of my playing security breach from start to finish in one go. It's not that I'm making up theorizes of my own and simply applying them to the canon as if their fact. I've never said nor claimed that. People CAN learn that. They can LEARN all of that. They simply CHOOSE not too. That's their own ignorance, which is not my problem. Just because they don't understand, doesn't make it not true. My series will always be an AU, always and forever. There's nothing wrong with what I did, and there never will be. The easiest way to know this is to READ the title. You read each word until you see the letters A U and boom, everything should be as clear as day. 'Oh, this video is an AU, an alternate universe. So it won't be canon, nah I don't like that, I'll go find something else' . It's really that simple. The Alternate Universe tag is just that simple, it really is. No such thing as a canon AU. That's contradicting in every sense of the word.
Also, I'm not mad at you or anything, but I'm not really going to defend these peoples bad awareness and ignorance on the topic. It's so simple that I knew what AU meant and literally when I was 9 years old watching 'Back to the future' and 'Doctor Who' for the first time. Thanks for the comment though, I wish more people actually understood the series and not just go straight for reactions.
@ZacharyZakk Yw, for the comment. And yeah, being unaware of something doesn't warrant someone harassing a person for something they choose not to know about.
For me, in any reaction I'll do in the future, I'll either have the name of my AU (or I'll reference the series and recommend it to them, but that would be at the start of the video, not the title) in the title, or I'll put it at the start, so that way people will watch the series so they know what's going on. That way, they can see the series, and they might be more interested in the AU and hence wouldn't complain. Like how Camilla similarly has an AU series: Glitchtale. And people don't complain in her videos because her series is very popular and likeable, and so many people know and watch it to the point that if you're in a comment section and see Camilla, you've heard of her so much to the point you at least know "Glitchtale" upon seeing her profile. It's because of the popularity of the series.
Possibly, in other reactions, to get as many people interested in the series like Glitchtale, maybe reference it at the start of the video when you're announcing what they will be reacting to. So when they see your reaction, they will also be bound to see your series, and they may or may not get curious about what that series is and click and see. And might get hooked like me or so many others did. Granted, looking at how ignorant people can be from your experience with those people, they probably wouldn't pay too much attention to it, to be honest. But that's just a suggestion.
Ya know, reading how these people comment about your AU(especially some of the responses to the 7 minutes of this video), I'm surprised how calm you are when responding. It's pretty cool that you can keep your cool talking to these guys. Especially the people who are just sarcastic or flat out rude.

It's an AU, so they can't complain.
And (debatably) Glitchtrap and burntrap aren't even William. It's an AI called mimic. So now no one can say that(if they don't want to be argued with themselves)

Thanks for understanding and to add, yeah, I believe there's a point as to why the word Alternate exists in the context shown. This community is fixated on the former-- Almost everyone uses an alternate universe in a context inconsistent with the word’s literal definition. The sooner this community realizes that the better. They can throw a hissy fit but the definition will never change not now, not ever.

Eh...I don't put as much effort into these reaction videos as I do my story videos. I try, but it always falls short. If you have any recommends that also ARENT just meme videos by the way. I'll look into it the next time I'm doing reaction videos. I'm not a big fan of tik tok. meme video reactions either and even if I did them...I'm not that funny as to create a reaction.
Anyway, I'm open to suggestions.

Funny story: there's some debate over whether or not the Fazbear Frights Books actually take place in an AU or not... although it's pretty much concrete at this point that The Silver Eyes, The Twisted Ones, and The Fourth Closet all take place in, and I'm quoting from memory here (so, please be gentle if the quote isn't verbatim), a "remaining of the world from the games", so it's pretty solidly AU; useful for giving us hints about the canon, without having to stay 100% faithful to the continuity of the games.

@@marionette8739 It's...different. The reason behind the name comes from how easy it is for people to get confused which Glitchtrap I use in my videos. My AU has three Glitchtraps. So I label them a bit differently to separate them a part. I have videos and explanations all over my channel about the direction I took. I got three videos, in fact that explain what changes I made to make my story n all that stuff.
Also I remember the quote but I believe the word 'remaining' is actually 'reimagining'. The books are a 'reimagining of the world from the games' which is a perfect example of many stories that have had other people or even the author themselves creating AUs. There are several examples out there. Like the Marvel Infinity War 'What-If' Animated series going around youtube right and or Fate the anime. Each spin-off telling a different story more or less.

au still shouldn't allow ships to happen.... most of them are children (in the case of FNaF where there are only like 4 or 5 adult main characters) it can't be used as an excuse for that and most don't even bother changing the ages at all

The reason why people refuse to accept those aging up the children to be more then simply children is because they are so used to seeing them as kids that seeing it any other way feels morally wrong. However, just because that's the case for them, doesn't mean that it's a rule that must be followed.
Besides, those kinds of mature AUs you seem to be implying have no place in a community mostly filled with children themselves. However, in the real world of Alternate Universe fiction writing. The concept of aging up children to adult ages or those over 18, changes the morality of the story if they are given a romance tag. Those stories belong on fan fiction sites where the main audience IS NOT entirely made up of children despite it's free range.
Morality is the only reason people see it this way. I personally have ships, but I don't go around sexualizing relationships, I aged up their souls but anything more then simple 'words' are is far as I have ever gone with the trend of 'ships' I like to keep my dignity within a community that has an extremely fond hate for people that do that kind of shit.
And before it's mentioned again. It's only a myth that souls don't age. No human has actually determined if souls can or can't age, that is left to theory, so it's up to the person to decide whether they believe it or not. I, personally don't believe it. In the context of a story, however, since it's a theory in real life, I can take the direction to go either way. Hence why I say they'll age rather then not age.
For relief on the matter. I might have like 3 ships or whatever, but it's never meant to be the focus. You can watch every video I have and only ever see like 5 or 6 interactions between these characters and half of them are simple idle gestures or thought chatter from William. That's it.

For second I thought the AU was talking which doesn't make sense but when I proceed to keep watching I understand what It meant XD
