He is my favorite now. It is funny I never heard of him until Brett Schull had a feature blog on him. I like Chris Buck’s style a lot too. Are you a Reason user too.
Aloha from Perth Western Australia - bought my first Greg Koch tuition Cd's over 10 years ago, and still loving the gristle, if you will! Maui Sugar Mill Saloon is on my to do list! Let's have at it! 🙃
I totally understand your comment and you make a very valid point. Toby Marshall is a monster. I love his playing and his animation in concert is great. But... I am a guitarist. It has always bugged me that videos or films pan away from the guitar or jump around like a Mexican jumping bean. When I go to a live event, I stand in front of the guitarist and watch and listen to the guitarist. I found myself thinking, oh I have to remember what the guitarist did, but I never could. My best times have been when I get carried away on the music. I decided to focus my video on the fretboard and strumming hands as much as possible. I want to see things like the comping for the other solos. Most videographers think that their art is what it is all about. I want to record what the guitarist does as closely as possible so I can learn. I talked to Dylan and Toby about this approach, and they were ok with it. There are other videos of the band that take a more balanced approach. I did not.
@@NicholasStein it's all good. I'm just breaking balls a little bit. I'm a raving and drooling fan of the Mansquatch. He's a Milwaukee boy ( such as myself) and I would put him toe to toe with ANY guitarist on the planet living or dead.
IDK? This may be the greatest piece of guitar work I've ever seen. Incindiary. Really, Great everything. Great jam.
I have seen the gristle... and the gristle is good!
I have heard the gristle as well
And it is very tasty!
Can you dig it?
FELLAS! FELLAS!
Greg is the best guitarist of the modern era. Awesome!

Excellent!
Greg is certainly versatile, accomplished and creative enough to be our generations JB...
