Good afternoon very enjoyable video such a beautiful spot to watch the action i have been on the wsr a few times next time i will stop and look around that small station.
Surprised you had no sunshine Mike been sunny all day in North Devon. Loved the model railway filming lovely set up. Trains carriages looked full! Another excellent video thanks for sharing.
I've not seen a train accelerate as quick as that tank double header. Great sound as well. Now the gala is over Admiral you can go home and get some sleep. All these videos it seems as if you two have been out all weekend. Thank you very much both. Brilliant weekend filming.
An atmospheric video, beautifully shot. At Galas with good frequencies of trains, many make short journeys and change over to the next in the opposite direction. None of the trains had every seat occupied but we're seeing only a minority of travellers. The lady with the three year old boy at about 21:00 knew how to properly shut the carriage door. The highlight was tank engine 1054 with the two horseboxes (as we used to call them in Australia) and a single carriage. The model railway may be small but the scenery placed on it was terrific. So realistic. This would have taken much work, and as you said, more has recently occurred.
This was amazing ... the birds too... you're really in the country there !! Why does Stogumber station have such a long platform ? It's only a tiny little community.. I would've thought just two carriages would be ample with correspondingly shorter platform ... One carriage had a cracked wheel ... did you here it ? Another masterpiece Mike and Val ... so nice to 'be ' there 👍😝
It did have a much shorter one but it was extended to cope with the longer trains to the rest of the railway. It never had it's own train just stopping there.
Hi Mike how are you Both? You & Val? We didn’t make the Gala unfortunately as had a lot of other stuff on last weekend. Including Watching steam. & the Harley Davidsons parade Pontins to Burnham. 600 bikes apparently!!!!!! I got some good video…. Had a ride on the open top bus after. Very busy heading back in2 the town centre on Sunday. Drizzling with rain. Then watched steam train later at Worle. Monday we had my friend over Anna.

They do have a range of drinks and snacks there to enjoy. Its beautiful there especially if the sun is shining.
I never thought a small country station was so popular. Your films have made me want to spend time there. So peaceful! Many thanks Mike.
We are glad our video has had that effect!

Good video Mike!
Thank you.
2.23 sounds like the rear vehicle has a flat spot on a wheel
That was a lovely video. Didn’t realise they ran ‘fast’ trains through ! ( I know it’s to do with the Gala!) The model railway is a labour of love!
Thank you Diana.
Good video, like.
We enjoyed making it.

My, you have been busy!
I think Stogumber is my favourite station on the line.
And for many others too
Excellent video 😊
Thank you.
What could have been! Ah! If only!😅
Its nice to dream!
Where there are steam engines,
There's Mike, Val and me.
Where there are stinky diesels,
No-one wants to listen or see.
We will see when the Diesel Gala comes along!
@@ADMIRALSCORNER Diesels are for non-believers, Electricity is wrong,
Steam has got the power that will pull us along.
