I never liked these variations before l heard Dino Ciarno play them. He makes them so totally convincing! They become alive, they speak (!!!) ... Amazing, yes, baffling.... I will be listening to them very, very often from now on...

It's Ciani. His live set of Beethoven's Sonatas are excellent despite the poor recorded sound.
