What is ASMR? Why am I whispering?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.
My videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or "tingles", but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to provide stress relief (especially for those suffering from depression, anxiety and even PTSD), help people sleep and even serve as a study aid.

I was in stitches when you thought the Monster Munch were going to be biscuits. Glad you liked the Eccles cakes, I almost didn't buy them as they're the one thing I have never tried. It's also interesting to see how you view the sweets, I'd never have thought that something like Revels wouldn't be available over in the USA.
Is caramac like the coating on gold bars?
A good selection of British snacks. He didn't react to the marmite much did he? Shame about the allergy
shangheili12347 It's a little similar however gold bars have a more mild, lighter flavour, although caramac's are bloody delicious they can be very sickly!!
Josef Sinclair I tried to find a single serving pot of Marmite but they only did massive jars so the nuts were the closest I could get, maybe I might try some (despite hating marmite!)

Ever heard of the Cornetto Trilogy? Three British made films (Two brilliant, one alright) Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and World's End. Each has some sort of action/horror focus, and each had a different flavored Cornetto eaten in them.
SotD had strawberry, to represent the blood and gore of a zombie apocalypse, HF had vanilla, representing the police (blue), and WE had I think...mint was it? Well it was green, and it represented the alien invasion.
I found it clever as hell. But I live in the US, so no cornetto for me.
Oh wow, I had no idea about this and I'm from the UK. I just watched SotD and Hot Fuzz yesterday too and I didn't even make the connection about the cornetto flavours. Thanks for posting this!

Marmite is a very salty black spread we put on toast and stuff. It's actually a yeast extract. In the UK it's famous for its 'Love it or Hate it' reputation. A lot of people like it, everyone else thinks its gross.
Most of my family thinks it's revolting, my sister and girlfriend absolutely love it to the point they will fight over the little packs you get with toast at hotels and junk. It's a weird divide!
Spent so much time over the last few weeks web browsing and having this playing in the background. The whole thing is so relaxing, and if its not to helped me feel sleepy, it just helps me to feel so much more chilled out and calm. Thank you!

you are the only asmer that i need to put my volume to 100/100 to listen to. it seems not very important but i think it's how asmr is meant to experience, with full volume and still not die from ear explosions.
I love how she was testing you with the Marmite cashews :P To explain, Marmite is known for its' 'you'll either love it or hate it' slogan, which it very much lives up to. It's a taste that has a pretty much 50/50 love/hate feeling from all of its tasters; a lot of people hate it, but a lot of people love the taste of it. She must have been testing you to see which of the two opinions you belong to :D
I'll have to get some marmite then and really try it on some toast one day.

Also don't worry Uncle E.R you got it right the first time with the pronunciation of Yorkshire, the one being York-sher
That's how people from Yorkshire pronounce it, as for people from the North of the country. Generally, the further South you get in the country to places like Somerset and Devon, they tend to pronounce it more of York-shai-er. The second way he pronounced it.

If you like Eccles cakes, you will probably love mince pies that we have at Christmas. Not sure if you've had them before but it's a mixtures of raisins and currants with spices in pastry and it's sticky and sweet and delicious.

I was just in England this May & June visiting my grandmother...this made me so nostalgic for the awesome snacks and sweets over there (especially the chocolate...mmmm)! I almost cried when you ate that Double Decker, lol! You can buy a lot of stuff from the UK on Amazon, but the prices are ridiculous. I know shipping is expensive, but I can't justify paying $9 for something I bought over there for less than a pound (I'm lookin' at you, Mr Kipling Bakewell tarts)!!! ASMR Angel sent my favorite tea, PG Tips (you can buy it here but it is more expensive than other brands- totally worth it!). Now off to make some tea...
Dat Cornetto cone! :O Normally Cornetto is an ice cream cone that has a little bit of chocolate right at the bottom of the cone. Everyone says it's the best part of the whole thing, so it seems like the company took advantage of that, haha! :D

Marmite rules!!!!...have it on toast with cheese...glad you liked the Monster Munch they also rule (glad she didn't send you pickled onion flavour they don't rule at all!!)..and Maltesers are honeycomb balls covered in chocolate....have been known to eat 2 family packs in 1 sitting..keep up the good work mate...

When I was a kid we used to put some baking soda and water into a Kinder Egg container, close and throw it. A diy watercracker.

The problem with the ripple and the double decker is they have melted slightly then been put in the fridge so the chocolate goes kind of white. It makes it taste funny/bad. Ripples are soo good normally!

I eat all these things on at least a weekly basis! Marmite is a really strange spread you put on toast of in a sandwich w/ cheese - we have a theory in England that no one sits on the fence w/ marmite - you either love if or hate it (I hate it!)

Hey Ephemeral, something similar to the Eccles cakes that you can find somewhat more commonly in the US are Mincemeat Pies/Tarts. They're not extremely common, but moreso than Eccles Cakes.

Oooh cardamon tea? I've had cardamon ice cream before. It's kind of like the pumpkin spice flavour, or nutmeg.
Marmite's a VERY salty spread. It's really good if you put a thin layer on toast.

Here where i live in colorado we have a thing called chocodile. For those of you who dont know what that is its a soft sponge cake coated with chocolate and a cream filled center. Oooo their good
I think what's gone wrong with the ripple and the revels is the chocolate might have melted and re-solidified in transit causing to to have the white streaks on them and for the ripple effect not to be so visible - I lived in the far east when I was a kid and English chocolate always used to look like that by the time it reached me -thankfully the effect makes no difference to the taste :) (mint aeros were the worst)
