I cringe every time you use the word "Drum" to identify the instrument. A drum is a membranophone. This instrument is called a "Pan" and is an idiophone. My next problem with you is that - You don't give credit nor recognition to the pioneers/innovators, inventors nor origins of the instrument. It seems to me like everything else, it's appropriated by a foreign culture and promoted/exploited as theirs. Do you pay royalties to the people and/or Gov't of Trinidad and Tobago who owns the internationally recognized patents and legal rights on Pan . . ? ?
That's the most incredible thing I've ever seen and heard at the same time.
That is my 75 birthday present to me.
These are awesome drums - we use them and love them! Professional, beautiful and, man, what sounds!!!
I hear if the pan is not made correctly the pan will cost more to tune.i do not know exactly what they mean.
Loving the yellow bird in the background
How much is a high C tenor pan crome
If you want authentic pans you need to order from the birth of the instrument. Trinidad and Tobago Small Island in the Caribbean....Built to last....
Why do you weld the skirts instead of using cut oil drums? Is it to have such a big body that you can separate the notes so much?
