Celtic Thunder made old Irish songs and storytelling very popular. I believe you too could embellish your talents and presentation even more with stories and song explaining the origins of Island music.
This has the potential to create a permanent new wave and appeal to many. Watching you smiling and clearly having fun is like a magnet to your audience. There are so many songs although a few might be a little naughty sung as a chorus.
I live in Canada and I’m sure there is room for a new sound.
GO PETOSKEY HIGH. Make it so! 😄👏🎶🛢🥁
      Good travels and creativity.

Northern Michigan is perhaps not the most obvious place for steel drums to catch on, but as a Michigander I'm just tickled to death by the talent and polish these kids show. I've always had good feelings about Petoskey; this is one more reason to like the town.

Look, I have no idea what kind of Higher Power took over the feed on my RUclips channel and somehow had this video right alongside all the normal fishing, Patriotic, and heavy metal music stuff I normally have, BUT I sure am glad that it happened. These young ladies and gentlemen are really amazing and truly talented. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a steel drum HS band. It's really refreshing to see something like this and I feel a tiny bit better about this old, messed up world than I did before this happened. Y'all are crushing it, band members!! Greetings from the Mighty Razorback. 👍🇺🇸

These kids work very, very hard on their music and performances. In the summer, they take a couple of weeks off, and then they practice the rest of the summer. Also, band camp for a week. During school, the kids come in an hour early for practice and two nights a week working on their show. Our steel drum band and marching band have been state champions for years. Our school also has an awesome award winning jazz band. Our band has performed several times at Disney World, and the steel drum band has performed at Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

Loved it! I grew up with steel drum bands down in the islands and this was a great performance. The biggest group I've ever seen for sure.

We didn't have THIS when I was at Petoskey High School. I'm both highly jealous and very much entertained. Y'all are great.

.@@joygirladventures1015 Perhaps. The last time I went home I was disappointed with what I saw. Far too many nubes turning my country town home into the big city.....Or what they thought the big city is like. They even had the audacity to remove the Indian chief logo from the football stadium.

👍Bravo! Bellissimo!! Stupenda!!! 👏 👏 👏 I love western Michigan, and watching and listening to these kids the last few years is a highlight of our vacations there. This marvelous group almost makes me wish even more that I could move there so I could hear them more often! Phantom!!❤❤ It's one of our highlights, too. We travel to hear them if they aren't in the area. So wonderful!!!
