why would u wanna do it? more accident risk, ive been riding for almost a year and i dont do it. no point, faster than others 10 mins wont earn u more money, ride safe.
Hi hi! By the rules, you should not park on pavements uh. Cause it will be a hefty fine of up to $2k or even jail, by LTA. It is a risk to park on pavements and as a new rider, I suggest you continue to practice good habits first. Why some would dare to park, I could only think of 4 reasons: 1. Timing (It is late at night hence lower risk. Morning to afternoon is super high risk) 2. The area is not so popular, ulu ulu or hidden. (For example, jalan kayu there quite popular, so the frequency of officers going down are higher even at night.) 3. Monkey see monkey do. Hahaha but also have to be smart about it lah. I would recce around the area and observe first. 4. They park for a short while then go. That’s all I can think of ah. It is a pain in the butt but safest to always find a parking lot. Places like Geylang very hard to find parking spaces, I will check my map, ride around few times (if no slot), assess and make my decision. Hope it helps a little and congratulations on achieving your bike license!
@@jfkoh5040 I see! Yes I've certain places where this is especially bad, 5-6 bikes parking along a shophouse walkway, totally blocking access. Was curious about the legality of it all. You've given a good checklist to run through. Thanks! had a military class 2 licence, and we parked wherever ops called for it, but years after, i realise civilian moto parking is quite different.
Oh man! Sorry i just saw this! I’m still a newbie at this. I researched around on the motorcycle shops and read through the reviews. When I just pass my license, i got a second hand slow ass bike to test it out before getting my current bike. I managed to a test ride the bike and did a test ride before purchasing. If you are purchasing the bike from a direct-owner, you might have to settle most of the admin your own or have it settle at a bike shop. Purchasing for the shops will settle most of the administrative side for you like bidding for COE and insurance, hence for the need of research. I had good riding friends who let me try out the same bike to get a feel before I made my final purchase. Good to know some riding friends to ask them where they purchase their motorcycle and how did it go with the shop!
Hi can i ask u whats the top speed at gear 6? cause i bought the same bike but it feels like very slow capping at 80-90😢 appreciate if you take your time to responsee
Hi hi! Eh? 80-90? Still can go faster eh. The top speed at gear 6 when I went full throttle was 130km/h if I remember correctly. If I never max out, around 121km/h?
@@jfkoh5040 wa damn so much diff.. but when i pull max throttle for long maybe hit 10X + only😭 maybe my weight ba i arnd 95kg HAHAH. Thanks for taking your time to respond!! is just cause i not sure isit i heavy or secondhand bike..
@@osh9758 That's very weird... Don't think your weight is the issue. I have ever rode with a 90kg pillion behind which confirm hit above the max weight but it could still hit above 100km/h. There could be multiple reasons the bike is facing poor acceleration plus, it is a 2nd hand bike. Have you serviced your bike when you received it? Suggest you see your trusted mechanic to do an overall check. Something could be clogged, dirty or maybe the previous owner modified something with the bike you don't know. My go to shop is, Bike Image SG @ Kaki Bukit.
Hi hi! Yes, sg highways are either 80kmph or 90kmph. Tunnels are either 70/80kmph. Haha I just pull my throttle? Of course not suppose to exceed the speed limit lah 😇
Yah! Somerset is just so difficult to find motorcycle parking space. I gave up trying to park the one just behind 313. Meh. I usually park along Emerald Link, where everyone just squeezed 3-4 bikes in one lot! Hahaha 😂 If worst case, I parked at the last place in my video loh :/ where you usually park??
You should cover ur speedo hahaha.
newbie rider here . How do u go in between car like that … tips pls
im sure you are able to do it now

I'm a new rider, can you tell me more about parking on pavements?
I see so many bikes on the pavement at certain places!
Do's and don'ts?

Where and how you mount your camera?
I got a chest mount that I wore and attached the GoPro! Looks exactly like this, www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Chest-Mount-Harness-cameras/dp/B01D3I8A7A
