I hate the suicide statistic being used out of context. Men and women attempt suicide at close to the same rates with no significant difference. Except men tend to use more lethal methods like guns while women use medications or things that can reversed if caught. So men are more successful at suicide

I have seen far too much grace given to Pearl with an excuse that she has heard lots of marriage horror stories from men. In this debate, it was brought up that men of our current generation are likely to make less money than their grandfather did. But I can be reasonable and say that partially this is not their fault; NAFTA, TPP and other forces played a huge role. She would agree with that. But if someone says that today's women are less likely to have basic cooking skills than their grandmothers, she will not (I know because I have heard her in conversation about this) admit that it is because the previous generations did not have time to teach them, that the women of today were learning different skills, and that cooking is less fundamental than it was 70 years ago. She is always ready to see the good side of men and the bad in women that I wonder if there is Electra Complex at play here.
So are men not signing up for marriage or is it Women that don’t want to get married?! If it’s both, according to her, then there’s no issue here at all. There would literally be no reason for this debate if both of these things were true 😂 Lawd Jesus!!! Bless her heart

Being a mother is re-learning about boundaries and their consequences, understanding that you can feel like you are one with another person and still underatand that this human being that came out of you is not you, does not think like you and experiences everything the way they do. It is accepting that from conception to birth, to birthdays and growth...to kindergarden, school, and any other life choices...all you can do is be there for your child, live the best life for you so that your child reaps from your example, accept their boundaries and give your best advice. It is understanding that you too are your own person and how you teach your children best by showing them how you do it. Motherhood will humble you... from pregnancy to breastfeeding to exhaustion, planning and the public view and teach you to be grateful. And it will give you a love and admiration for human beings that you never quite experienced like that. The good, the bad, the ugly, the sad, the joy and the reminder that there is a beginning at the end.
