I snorted so hard at the intro. :D I always love your vlogs and I would watch them, even if they were not cheerful, because what I appreciate the most about them, is, that they feel very real. And how you talk about stuff and that we all know that life can be so hard... and I hope you and your family feel better soon. ❤
I just DNF'd the 8th book of the Wheel of Time and I have to say, I think it just gets worse and worse. So if you didn't enjoy the Great Hunt, I'd recommend bailing. Because I'm a completionist too (😅) I read the plot summaries for 9-11 online and then I'm gonna try picking up the series again at the Brandon Sanderson books
I loved being thrown back to the festive season, I hope you’re doing “all kinds of well!” Hmmmm Wheel of Time. I LOVED books 1 & 2….I DNFed the series at book 9. It’s such an individual preference thing. I’m so so sad I made it to book 9 and didn’t finish so tbh I’d have preferred DNFing earlier in the series to save me the heartbreak of giving up 😭😂
I looove Fruits Basket ! It is very emotional, deep and sometimes quite dark but also cute (they turn into animals) and wholesome so I think you are going to love it !
codie never apologise for how you are feeling their yours and there is no harm talking about them. christmas isn't an easy time for some but i loved the vlog some brilliant shots of massie video bombing and tibs at the tree while giving you dirty looks. thank you for what you do xxxx
Loved your intro, definitely on point for many of us I feel! Great vlog as always and happy belated holidays! 🥰📚 (Thank you for the flashy light warning, much appreciated!)
I tried reading Jonathan strange and Mr. Norrell shortly after moving cross country and was ... depressed / barely reading. This vlog makes me want to try again ! It's been a few years and my mental health is ... better(ish)
Are the botanics lights on for a bit after Christmas too? I live in the States, but I’m going to visit family I have in Ireland for Christmas 2023 and then we’ll head over to Edinburgh from Dec 30 to January 3rd.
I really enjoyed reprieve! but i do think it can be a bit of a slow burn; i've heard it being described as more of a "literary horror" although I'm not a huge horror reader to begin with so i'm not super well versed with all the horror subgenres
I have to say that Reprieve is more of a commentary on racism, and less outright horror. I enjoyed it, but best to alter your expectations. Also, I must say I was very surprised to hear you say that The Good Girl’s Guide To Murder series was set in the UK. I listened to the audiobook for all of them and the characters had American accents (!)
I would recommend listening to Wheel Takes though too, because Ali is the most fun as she reads them and her coming up with theories made it a lot more exciting for me to think about my own theories and to see if either of us were right.
For Wheel of Time, I read the first three and couldn’t be bothered. And then I heard that books 7,8,9 are awful drags. And people also say that book 1 is not that good. And a few people don’t like a few other books. And then it was clear to me that the series was certainly not worth it. Rand does not get better… atleast in the third book and the hundred odd pages I read of book 4.

I'm so sorry you're having a hard time 💕 I'm glad you decided to upload this anyway, we like Codie even out of date 😁💕
I love a long Cody vlog no matter what time x
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell is an amazing story, I loved it! I need to reread it. Hope you're feeling better and things with your family are ok.
Two roast dinners sound awesome 👌🏻
Massey is such a fun vibe 🤣🤣🤣

33:52 I responded to this because I thought that it was MY cat complaining that I was in the bathroom without her 😂😂😂

I also got I'm Glad my Mom Died in the half price sale. I own Reprieve but haven't read it yet.
The intro ❤️
It’s always good to see you! 😊
Always good to see your face on my feed lovely.
It took me til 14:14 to realise this is a vlog from last year 😅🤣
Your thoughts on Den of Vipers is exactly how I felt 😅
It's so funny because I HATED Five Survive. It was one of my worst reads of 2022 lmao.
Truly hope you're doing a bit better in 2023!
Gaaah I still need to read The Atlas Six so I can read the 2nd 🥹

Stop with wheel of time. Let it go 😊

Tbh, I think book three of WoT was my favorite. I like 3, Lord of Chaos, and the end. Lol

I loved the Lost Apothecary but I found Fruits Basket quite boring in all honesty!
"guns aren't a thing"
Man, we should have never left Europe 😂
