I find myself watching with envy, your ability to manipulate these small parts so skillfully. For me I'm afraid those days are behind me. Thanks for sharing Steve.
Hi Steve, Got a headache after watching another tiny photo etch session!! Great job, looking forward to the next episode of the ZM 109 build, then we can compare notes.......
I didn't like them when I used them a few years ago Jerry. I thought the dispensers were a pain to decant and I wasted more than if they had been in bottles. I thought the coverage was ok but I never really experimented with them long enough to get the best out of them. I prefer Tamiya, particularly the lacquers, and Mr Hobby.
Steve. I’ve watched so many of your videos (and am building HMCS Snowberry at the moment). This is off the wall and perhaps you have already answered this, but I have always wondered why you wear the coverings over your thumbs. Sorry if this is a redundant question, but this inquisitive mind wants to know. Best. Jeff
Hi Jeff. I lost both my thumbnails in a DIY accident a few months ago and they haven’t grown back properly yet. the covers keep paint and dirt away from them. I’m looking forward to the day I don’t need them !
@@TheModelShed BTW, Steve, I found those elusive Pontos doors on the athwartship bulkhead I asked you about back on the Snowberry build. All the time I was looking for watertight doors with dogs--I assumed they would be that since they led out to weather decks. I finally found them on the plans and on the frets. They are non-watertight doors with no dogs at all, the same as that leading out to the fantail. Kind of puzzling as they would not be great for maintaining watertight integrity, especially in the North Atlantic. No wonder Flower Corvettes are always described as being wet and damp below decks! That was bugging the heck out of me. Jeff

Nice work, those guns came out superb.
Thanks Chris 👍
Impressive work! I can't wait to see her when finished.
Thanks Bryan 👍
I find your detail model building akin to a fine watch repair.
I suppose the parts are similar and the same intricacy David. I’d have liked to have done that sort of work I think.
verry good job Steve
cheers Richard 👍

Hi Alan - making a start in the cockpit today - hopefully an update midweek 👍
Very impressive. Almost too delicate to watch on camera. The stills at the end really show what you have created. Flak Vierling at it´s best.
Yes it’s tough getting close enough on video. The stills help me check if I’ve got the parts located properly as well 👍
Lovely job.
Your eyes must have been hanging out !!
How do you rate vallejo paints ?

Scary. Wowww. Beautiful work but...Scary to think about it.

@@TheModelShed Good lord. Steve. And here I thought it was going to be something modeling related! Sorry to hear that.

Im working on the funnel now Mark, I'll upload the next part in the next couple of days
Steve. You’re starting to scare me with all the itty bitty parts lol. Can’t wait to get my pontos kit to start my adventure.
Good luck with it hope the videos help somehow 🤞

Never mind Mac - I couldn’t premiere it anyway. 👍
So we won't see you build a 1/200 Iowa Class anytime soon? 😂
