Thank you for posting this. My father was one of the men that was consecrated Bishop on that day. He and Bishop Blake are the only two men living from this class of Bishops. Being able to see this is fabulous.
@rogerjonesII you're welcome. Bishop Jones knows so much of our COGIC history he is one of the bishops I always wanted to talk to about our history. Especially since I know he knew Bishop Mason when Bishop lived in Michigan in his final days.
00:42 - 1:14 Twinkie’s intro on that organ!! Is filled with the Holy Ghost!! The Late Great Rev. James Moore was in a vocal class of his on!! He was not only one of the best singers of our time but he also played the organ and piano as well. Dr. Clark really set the standard for choirs and she brought the best outta of the singers! Her demand for giving God the best is what’s missing in a lot of the music ministry today.
It is truly amazing to see Bishop Ellis at this time as an apprentice guiding the presiding Bishop J.O. Patterson and what would now be considered the order of what we use in our services. Truly amazing.
the old church!! i love how simple things are, bishop patterson has on the the scarlet red and every other bishop is in purple. not all the different regalia colors we have now
So 4 former general board members were ordained as bishops that night. Wow! Bishop McKinley, PB emeritus Blake, Bishop N W Wells jr, Bishop Earl Wright Sr.
