    DESCRIPTION
    Welcome to HowFixit! In this video, I'll take you through a step-by-step guide on how to disassemble Acer Aspire V3-571G (E1-531G) laptop, clean its fans, and replace the thermal paste. Our comprehensive tutorial will equip you with the knowledge of fixing laptop overheating issues. From disassembling your laptop to cleaning the fan and heatsink from dust and applying thermal paste, we've got you covered. Say goodbye to overheating and hello to improved performance!
    Laptop Disassembly Guide:
    Disassembling your laptop may seem daunting, but I'll break it down into easy-to-follow steps. You'll learn how to remove the laptop's casing, locate and clean the heatsink and fans, and access to CPU for thermal paste replacement. By following this guide, you'll gain a deeper understanding of your laptop's internals and how to keep it running smoothly.
    Fan Cleaning Techniques:
    Dust and debris can accumulate in your laptop's fans and heatsink over time, leading to reduced airflow and increased temperatures. I'll show you effective methods to clean your laptop using an antistatic brush and proper handling techniques. By keeping your cooling system clean, you'll prevent overheating and extend the lifespan of your laptop.
    Thermal Paste Replacement:
    Thermal paste plays a crucial role in transferring heat from the laptop's CPU and GPU to the heatsink. However, over time, a thermal paste can dry out and lose its effectiveness. I'll guide you through the process of removing the old thermal paste and applying a fresh, high-quality one. This step is vital for optimal heat dissipation and temperature management. Don't let an overheating laptop slow you down! Watch this comprehensive guide and take control of your laptop's temperature. By performing regular fan cleaning and thermal paste replacement, you'll ensure smooth operation, prevent hardware damage, and extend the life of your laptop. Hit the play button now and let's get started!

    This tutorial is really helpful. Thank you so much, i did it exactly like this and the temps are great. I cleaned the fan, used a thermal paste (arctic mx-4) and finally no overheating..my overclocked GT640m (824/1140) is running @ 80c in new games on high settings and i5-3210 @ 75c..before i had 94 with throttling on gfx card and 103 with throttling on processor. Thank you again!

    • @Kiekerr
      @Kiekerr 9 лет назад

      +Soldier ScaR I really need to do this too because my CPU doesnt boost to 3.3 because then it will hit 100+ degrees (3610QM) and my GPU (640m) hits 93 and throttles all the way down to like 415mhz. Was the problem because of terrible thermalpaste? Could you also tell me what the 3rd chip is without any thermal paste on it?

    • @TheClearStalker
      @TheClearStalker 9 лет назад

      +TheKiekerr I'm pretty sure it was mostly because of the fan and side vents completely filled with dust, the hot air couldnt go out of the laptop so it started overheating in 5-10 mins terribly, now i feel the air going through the vents, its colder and more quiet and the thermal paste i used helped it too because its one of the best pastes. Also i dont know what is the third chip, there wasnt any paste on it either. I really recommend you to do this yourself if your laptop is overheating, just watch it multiple times, do it carefully and exactly like this and you will be good. Good luck. If you do it succesfully, i also recommend you to download a modified vbios for gt640m, where you can overclock the core clock to 1100mhz and memory clock to 1140mhz, the fps in games will go up about +20 to +30 fps, depends on game, this card has really great OC potential, i did it and the temp of my card is max 77c no matter how long i play.

    • @Kiekerr
      @Kiekerr 9 лет назад

      Soldier ScaR Thank you for all your information, allthough Im not sure if I download a custom vBios. Ill just try to max it out with MSI Afterburner. I don't game alot anymore on my laptop because I have built a pc last year. It is just nice to know your laptop is running cool, and if I take it to friends I will be able to play games at a decent frame rate, like it was new. I will tell you my temps and experiences after I have done this to my laptop. See you soon helpful person.

      +TheKiekerr no problem :)

    • @Kiekerr
      @Kiekerr 9 лет назад

      +Soldier ScaR I did it! Took me three hours.
      Temps CPU 3610QM:
      Before: 105Celsius on 3.3ghz and throttling to 2.3.
      After: 85Celsius on 3.3ghz no throttling.
      Temps GPU 640m:
      Before: 93Celsius, throttling down to 405mhz and sometimes even 270mhz.
      After: Highest I've seen during a MSI Kombustor tester is 68Celsis during full load.
      Didn't fire up a game yet, so could be inaccurate.
      My fan wasnt full of dust, but there was a small amout.
      My thermalpaste however, was absolutely horrible. It was spread all around the CPU and GPU, and even now there is some thermalconcrete, yes it was like concrete with airbubbles, under the GPU. It is stuck there because there is a little plastic plate glued to the GPU?
      Thanks for your help, I can now use my laptop again as a stable, cool, (gaming) machine.

    You should separate the copper from the housing. That is where the fuzz mat builds up. With it apart, you can properly clean the fins. You cannot access the fins without peeling the tape and separating the copper bars.

    Hi i did the dissambly successfully and cleaned and while putting back in keyboard connector latch broke. I still fixed it with some cardboard paper and tape to keep the large connector from slipping off. It turns on fine but says "No bootable device" and just the power key works on the keyboard. Rest of the keys don't work or respond. I connected an external keyboard and still same message. Do you think i messed up some connections inside (not tightly fit) or it is just the keyboard connection that isn't tight. Please help

    Is that true that in this model Acer Aspire V3-571G were 2 types of fans?

    • @boogerhead0
      @boogerhead0 6 лет назад

      Yes, there are two types of fan housing on this model. The large casting model is shown here. It also has the IO chip cooler extension. The other has a smaller casting, separate fan housing, and no extension to the IO chip.
      Both have diagonal extension to the graphics chip.

    Hey man when i opened the screen the plastic part where the screws go to hold the screen to the base of the computer broke, so now i cant atatch those screws back agan and therefore cant move the screen,any ideas on how to solve it?also those screws are kinda spetial and they cant go out of the metal thing that holds the screen

    • @howfixit
      @howfixit  9 лет назад

      enrique Muñoz the problem is, that screw mounts on bottom case broke (not in the moment when you disassemble laptop). Screws not special, metal parts that hold screws in screen hinges must hold it in bottom case. You can try to fix that by your own, or to buy new bottom case.

Any idea what could be the issue? I double checked the connection between all of the pins on the touchpad and the motherboard with a meter and checked for shorts between them. In this Acer's model (Aspire v3-571g) I have a constant heating problem and I think the fan in the computer is not enough. Is the heating problem unique to this model? Or is that just happening on my computer? I would be glad if someone who knows can answer.

    • @VonPunk
      @VonPunk 3 года назад

      Try this. Windows Search type 'Power' select 'Edit Power Plan' then on the pop-up box click 'change advance power settings' then in new box scroll to 'Processor power management', expand it, then expand 'maximum processor state', if the settings are at 100%, change them both to 99% and apply. This may prevent the turbo that causes overheating. It's harmless to your laptop and won't cause any issues but it's the easiest first thing to try doing.

      По сокету G2 и TDP максимум подходит
      Core i7-3632QM 4 ядра\ 2.2 ghz
      Core i7-3540M 2 ядра\ 3.0 ghz
      но вот накнулся на такой список поддерживаемой материнкой cpu:
      www.game-debate.com/motherboard/index.php?mot_id=2224&cpuList=Acer%20VA50HCCR%20(U3E1)
      И там их нет (хотя я не уверен на 100% что это правильная мать на сайте - хотя в speccy она же определяется).
      С другой стороны - посмотрел, в продаже были модификации v3-571g с разными i7:
      - i7-3632QM
      - i7-3630QM (а это странно, у него tdp 45, наверное система охлаждения тоже другая).

      also the screws are not all the same size and you really need a magnetic tip screwdriver to not drop them.

      StakzPwns What did you break? I was a little bit scared when i saw your comment but i finally decided to do it myself and it's fine. the fan is clean and everything works just right. If you do it exactly like on the video you can't go wrong. It ain't really that hard

      +Soldier ScaR Last night tried to solve a problem with my left speaker. I pluged out some of the wires from mainboard, replace the speaker and when i tried to start it again monitor was dead.... i looked at this video and saw what he did...the problem was that i didnt put the vga cable right, it s a certain way and you must hear a "click". It''s a odd situation... you must be very carefull.

    Здравствуйте. Открыл, почистил, собрал. Включаю - горит синяя лампочка питания и одна синяя внизу на индикаторе. На 1-2 секунды загорается лампочка с дисками (жесткий диск, как я понял). Экран не включается. И стоит так. Повторил процедуру трижды. Подскажите, пожалуйста.

      RockSHOMA здравствуйте. Попробуйте для начала перевставить ОЗУ, ну проверить правильно ли вставлены шлейфы\питание (система охлаждения, клавиатура, матрица) тоже не будет лишним.

      Matas Puskunigis maybe you can try to swap wi-fi cables, don't sure that this will help, but you can try. Can't even imagin what could happend.

    My v3 571g with gt 730m its overheathing, and acer do nothing... The fans dont work... Still in a low profile.

    • @howfixit
      @howfixit  10 лет назад

      If fan dont work at all this explains why your vga is overheating, if it so you may go to acer's service center, second thing that can be the reason of overheating is cluttered with dust air duct, in this case you can clean it or also apply to service center
