- So if you recall in the December headline, SEGA gave us a teaser of the new field area coming in June. This has some rather interesting implications. Just what could this new area be?

SPOILER WARNING
Well, since AKRS Ship Residential Areas have Artificial Skies, I think the new field could still be underneath either Central City or Lost Central. Lore has so far implied the the first generations of "Clone" ARKS had access to way more technology than latest generation after all.
Retem City on the other hand, seems to have its "hub" inside what would seem to be an Old ARKS Ship.... So we could very well be going under Retem City as well (Part of the Lore about old Halpha Technology is imparted when inquiring about big metallic rings in Retem after all!)
One Theory that I have been hearing is that Main Cities may in fact be ARSK Ships themselves. This would kinda be neat because it would mean we could probably move Central City around to travel to other planets while maintaining the same hub.
Or, better yet, what's even under Halphia Lake? we traveled to Leciel, but we haven't yet deciphered the mystery behind it.
The other theory is indeed the "Space Station" where 909 came from, of course.
And this one is my weird theory: What if we find a version of Clarissa inside of Leciel and we are either a. Taken to the past and witness the incident where starless attacked Oracle or b. Similar to a, but just sort of a simulation where we can see what happened
Finally, we just somehow come into contact with remnants of the Oracle Fleet, and find ourselves inside of an ARKS Ship being attacked by Starless.
But well, this is just me throwing some wild speculation.
:v
The writers will probably find some way to screw it up - unless they have someone else in charge of that now.
@@Zeomantic Well if you mean this taking Chapter 6 as an example, I would tend to agree :v However we can be cautiously optimistic about it. Ch. 6 imo was just a filler arc meant to buy time (or at least they made it seem like that lol). It kinda backfired a bit but well, it's not impossible for new field related story to be decent :v guess we will see what happens.
I think we should provide lots of feedback regarding story so far to see if they can improve things along the way.
Very nice, specially your theory with the attack on Oracle. Sounds Fire 🔥
909 comes from Leciel, we're basically Zephetto's perfect recreation of ARKS Defender Prime. There was that room in Leciel with a bunch of person-sized tubes, and the glass was foggy, but there was a display on the side that showed a picture of Ash and his "vitals" (i don't know how to describe it), But we're basically a clone of our PSO2 self. Only some Meteorn come from outside Halpha,, we however come from Leciel
@@AdoraTheGuardian If you actually follow one of the mini-episodes where you talk with Dozer about the subject, 909 actually comes from outside of Leciel. I will probably rewatch it to make sure though.
My theory is the giant Clarissa thing is a monument. The Nameless City is on an ARKS ship or something like it, and the Clarissa looking model is some kind of memorial to remember the heroism of ARKS past or something. Clarissa was very important to the story after all I could see Matoi's weapon becoming something of a symbol. Our PC is the only one who might be more famous but since our weapon of choice is variable, it's easier to use one from an NPC.
Monument? I could believe that.
It's either a satellite, a moon, or a ship like base game for sure.
The reason we go there? We will have first contact with the mainstream ARKS and they will be under attack. As we're the only section of ARKS actually prepared to deal with starless this will prompt that first contact with Halpha.
It really is THE chance for them to actually make out a story out of this mess, it's been a long 2 year wait for it. Hopefully we get a meeting with the higher ups at the ARKS main fleet "a la" episode 6 to get enough of a lore dump and its not just "go here and smack starless lmao"
I thought all the older ARKS died?? Although I do wonder what happened to all the normal residents...
@@Karma20XX there’s no way zephetto didn’t have anyone higher up than him. I believe they did say 700 m people died but it was 500 years ago?
@@DR4kH1N He's stated to be the entire reason behind why Resurgent ARKS even came to be, and by the time the Starless first appeared ARKS as we knew it was only stuff of legends and myths, the organisation is basically defunct because of the 5 centuries of peace
@@Karma20XX : Zephetto describes his zeal as being driven by the relative passivity of the surviving ARKS, who had largely de-militarized the use of Photons and wanted to believe the Starless would not return after their sudden disappearance. It suggests they not only had surviving ships/colonies, but possibly enough to not totally panic in the wake of the attack. The billions killed by the Starless didn't exclusively include ARKS, but also many other inhabited planets in the outer reaches of colonized space.
@@Karma20XX Zhephetto said most died, but not all.
We've seen a few control system/computers in NGS that resemble oracle-like features. The control consoles in Crawford's command center and the smaller ones at the quest counters all have a small globe with fish swimming around it, almost as if they somehow replicated Xion on a vastly smaller scale.
The Clarissa also had a connection to Xion, which was remote, meaning that giant core could potentially serve the purpose of long-distance communication with either Xiao or an A.I./HiCast of some kind that was made to be a replica of Xiao's capabilities, like Xiera.
my theory its , we will find in Lost Central Blueprints to build campships and finally leave Halpha , in Leciel we comunicate with other Arks colonies that are under attack and we are the only one who are ready to defend them , but we only gain time for the colonies to evacuate the planets.
and deep down in we activate the planetary motors and turn Halpha into a nomad planet serving as a refuge for other colonies.
Trying not to get my hopes up too much, but imagine if one of the Oracle fleet ships crashed onto halpha a long time ago, (Which would explain why Retem City is built inside what looks like a giant rocket thruster) and we're finally beginning to discover the rest of the ship? This would explain why there's still DOLLS and Starless to fight, since we haven't fully left the planet yet, and could even lead into how we get to space if we're able to get the crashed ship up and running again!
Interesting angle
Loved the idea
I think the issue of it being a crashed spaceship conflicts with Halpha being an experiment and the fact that the place looks too pristine, crash landing would have shown signs of damage in some form or another
Gonna feel great to explore an Oracle fleet city with NGS' movement
Honestly I think this could be the space station Dozer mentioned the Meteorns come from, more than Gaira. At least that's what I assume since they kinda dropped it out of nowhere. As for Solus, I doubt it will ever be addressed in any capacity, and it will get the Magatsu treatment of just existing for the sake of it.
We also need to consider why Halpha was constructed so close to another celestial body. That I believe is the elephant in the room we must address.
Yup
I'm of the mind presuming that this massive city being powered? by a giant Clarissa? is the underground haven for the surviving humanity who cannot fight the threats on the surface. And that's now being breached because story remembers there's more on Halpha and the threats aren't dealt with at all. As much as I would want to leave this damn planet already, I dont think NGS will get to even the moons above with the limited budget this team is being given compared to every other unit at SEGA.
Given the extreme case of red-headed stepchild syndrome this game seems to suffer from, you could be right since it's not Sonic, Yakuza, or Persona.
@@Zeomantic On God I wouldn't even care at this point if the Phantasy Star team is merged under the greater sonic team or RGG, they could make some serious experimental shifts for the IP; and Atlus at the very least if given the push from higher up, could have the EO team remake the Genesis PS games very crisp and cleanly
"what are dolls and starless doing in an arks ship?"
chaotic silence
that giant object with the floating bits reminds me of clarissa also, might be a XAIO version
Fam that background music Silent palace premium edition great taste!! 😊
You already know!
Since leciel tower have teleportation technology there a huge chance that yes we can be ported into oracle ship that was hidden on Halpha system .
Yeah I could definitely see that.
@@Zeomantic after full night sleep there one more thing i forgot what Zepetto its capable of...The city could be a huge simulator trying to figure out how did Clarissa work from the past WHICH i come this theory that they are trying to open Akashic record again.
My thought is starless is doing something with dimensional rifts, how how in base game we got the Alter space rifts sometimes after clearing a mission in base, My guess given the nature of the records the reason the staff and the city from 1500 years ago has shown up is its it melting space time and memories from the old guardian. I have a strong feeling given we an gen 3 clone and 1500 years ago the other guardian (us) was also a gen 3 clone we have a deeper connection. Now most likely we all overthinking this way more then Sega has put any thought into.
but now the girls seem to be in a better mental state and the 4 regions beside the starless threat seem more in control I think its time for 909 Issues to start showing up kinda mirror back with Luther at the end of ep2 began to mess with us
I'm thinking the "Clarissa" is outside of the dome city and may be the back side of Gaira. With it being between Halpha and what we assume is a fleet ship. In regards to possible fleet ship, it's been teased since day one with monitors in Central's command ops, so I don't think it will not be a ship.
It does I wouldn't be surprised if it was a photoner creation and it does look like clarissa
Can't un-see.
Bro can read oracle alphabet and distinguished them !!!±±
Come on this our Lore Master ZEO !!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Very noice theories you have and I am very interested in this new city. I can't wait to see it when it released!
Thank you! Same here!
if its not inside leciel then it just begs more questions. what is inside leciel? the inner core of that thing is huge, even when were at the tip bottom of it in leciel mode the skybox is huge so imagine the core. it could house a city for sure. original concept art also shows leciel as a ship so it could eventually transform. it just makes no sense for the city to be anywhere else when leciel is sitting right there unused with still so many questions about it unanswered.
Yeah it definitely opens the door to more questions.
I immediately thought it looked like the oracle residential area, so glad I'm not alone. My guess it's another area entirely we're going to? It seems like Laciel had transporter technology and maybe can do more things we're not aware of.
It's heavily implied to be the case.
It is definitely implied to be the case. You are not alone there my friend!
I don't remember where Gaira Mentioned but it sounds interesting, but I can't wait to explore the new place, why I think it looks looks like the weapon is to pay respect and tribute, I also can't wait to see what is the upper limit to where I can and can't go in that facility.
What about you though
Gaira came up during one of the previous seasonal events, as well as some other places IIRC.
my brain: the entire Halpha is build around an archship
Could be, and the whole "uninhabitable area beyond the barriers" thing could just be a cover story.
the starless ravage halpha and we're time travelled to the time of the 1st gen halphan ARKS to warn them of the starless welll ahead of time marking the true beginning of the Halpha arks story
There will be no time travel
Personally I'd rather they leave the time travel stuff out of this. That's always been a slippery slope.
@@Zeomantic i believe only ash was able to realy "harness" that ability where as no one else was able to also xion and xiao may have been unable to acctualy effect things. so im pretty sure time travel is out of the question
This could be where they trained pther iterations of the current clone.
I think its another ship besides Luciel one, lucielians says they dont know where our origin come from, only Zepetto know, so we not from luciel facility, and probably from this ship, remnants ark ship.
And i think starless we fought so far only the foots soldiers of vanguards starless army, even Solus.
This is likely.
So basically there are even stronger Starless creatures out there somewhere? Or perhaps another embodiment of Primordial Darkness?
@@izzy_theog9658 yeah, just like PD,
there's stronger Starless.
since Zepetto created Dolls based of Starless, we can assume there's Starless like Aegis out there.
Q : what is this city ?
A : nostalgia bait 👍
Totally here for this!
@@Zeomantic NGS have a big potential to be a fun game, celebrating the whole franchise in this new engine - like FF 14 do.
Right now, a class from FF 6 will be added to 14 in the next big update. It's not a 1:1 conversion, the class was updated and balanced to work in the FF 14 gameplay but the core concept, the class soul is here.
Meanwhile in NGS, we lost Summoner bcs the producer was lazy and refused to make adjusts and balance the Summoner class to work in the NGS gameplay.
So much potential wasted...
Goodluck zeo 👍
That means were going back to the shippppp able to go to other planets finally.
I guess we'll have to see where they take this.
The starless seem to be able to replicate dark falz of the past and seem to be made up of light and dark. Halpha appears to be near the *center* this is where the final battle happened with the primordial darkness and the starless emerged there. Xaoi might be asleep in that structure.. or he may be the head of the starless to restore balance
Spacebound confirmed
Seems that way on the surface.
It's one of Luther's dreams
Who knows?
The apparent lack of urgency is due to the fact that we are still early in the story and have the updates to it coming in drips and drabs, much like it had been with Base PSO2 in Japan originally. We got spoiled with the release of the global servers, which had it all done in a way that made it much simpler for us to get all the details, rather than having to find them via random chance due to how each zone was instanced via some variant of template calls to map resources to keep the size of the game down. Base was a fairly hefty game by Episode 6, but it would have been much larger had the design not been some design decisions, like procedural generation (though this is not complete procedural generation from the ground up, but semi-random generation from templates) to lower and simplify the resource requirements.
As for the zone, I wouldn't be surprised if it is the original colony, using the residential district of an ARKS Ship for the original colonists on Halpha. Basically the 1st Gen of Resurgent ARKS, who were all essentially wiped out, with the few survivors molding the 2nd Gen and establishing the culture as is on Halpha.
As for the DOLLS presence, Zephetto basically had the setup for the 4th Gen clones, who would have the potential that your character and Manon showed, and which Aina pulled a surprise when she showed she had a potential that far exceeded what had been known for 2nd Gen. And they would need the training and experience, not to mention the needed trials and such, to go even further.
As for the Starless, we are currently facing the earliest vanguard of their main force, and Halpha is likely not the only target. I wouldn't be surprised if this finishes the leadup to Episode 2.
You're preaching to the choir in that first paragraph. This ain't my first rodeo with this stuff. Yeah, that content vomit no doubt fueled some unrealistic expectations on the global side. 2nd paragraph is definitely plausible. I could definitely see this as a springboard to a possible "Episode 2" as well. Thanks for watching!
As someone that played JP (at early/mid EPISODE 4), it never really felt like story updates were dripfed to us. There may have been times where the monthlong waits between left me feeling antsy, but we would get hefty whole Chapters (most of the time) full of awesome characters and juicy, emotional stories that were actually interesting and engaging, and the plot was almost always moving at a steady pace. They did put in a lot of filler with the Chapter updates than was probably necessary, and there were even story updates that were nothing but filler just to buy more time to finish the next real BIG content+story update but it never felt like I was being cheated, because I knew I had something great to look forward to next time.
Meanwhile, NGS feels like it's entire first 5 chapters are mostly the character subplots missions you'd get between Main Story missions from Base with none of the meat to make you feel satisfied.
If I were to theorize, I think they were trying to go for something like EPISODE 1 where it's mostly just a quaint yet mysterious story about Quna finding Hadred, as the game was just getting started and they were dipping their toes in the water, introducing you to the recurring cast of personalities at ARKS while slowly exposing the dark side of this organization that you are a part of, easing into EPISODE 2.
NGS kind of follows this same mentality, but there isn't really anything there to replace the Quna side of the equation aside from the very vague and not even really concerned with idea of "What are DOLLS?? Why we in pod??? Where ARKS Ship?!?" until kinda Stia and then the Leceil stuff where we finally got...75% of an answer.
I'm also part of the probably basic opinion that we shouldn't be starting over from scratch in terms of game quality... I get wanting to introduce your new core cast, but having it take 2 years is just way too much. The early release really was the worst thing to happen to the game, but I doubt it would have affected the storytelling, so it's whatever
I've rambled long enough! I should probably stop, now.
Your character is so cute.
Why thank you! ❤
nothing in NGS makes sense I already stoped questioning it, devs don't really care about it.
As much as I'd like to say to the contrary, you're not entirely wrong there.
Hey Zeo
Hi there! Happy New Year!
