    It did have bells until around the time that the Twin Sails Bridge opened, when the bells were replaced with the alarms. The wig wag signals were replaced a few years ago after the older wig wags failed.

    How come the sirens sound when the gates start opening? Twin sails does it as well.

      It does the same on our bridges in Hull and believe me they make you jump!

      I think its to alert people that the bridge is clear to cross incase they are on their phones or something 🤣
