Thanks for sharing your journey. It's not for everyone. I support my husband and meet him at trail heads or do a small section with him. I miss my grandkids too much. Whatever you decide, it will be the right decision for you both and have no regrets. You accomplished more than others. Yes, Hurricane Ian ruined both of our kids apartments and sent them all up North (with our only grandson)! Missing them added another level to all the wet and freezing cold weather. 🥲
Awwww! I totally get it! My husband and I are section hikers and honestly when we backpack more than 3 days I just can’t get home quickly enough. I LOVE dayhiking…but backpacking is exhausting! Loved watching y’all!!! You were awesome!
So love your joy in the hard times. Keep releasing your joy. Your plans to go west sound so much fun. Put a pan in the water as you go, to look for gold. All the best to you!! You will be missed in the the backpacking community. But know, you can come back and do section hikes to get your AT on. Thru hiking is an amazing feat , but life goes on whether you achieve it or not. Love you guys!
You guys were a blast to watch, but the trail will always be there. Day hikes are always fun and you can always go back to a warm bed at night. Stay positive, we can’t wait to see what else is in store for you guys ❤
Yeah, it’s a 3 day camp to get out from what we understand and that cold front was coming the next day.. we might be trying again next March when it’s warmer.. but we’re already building the SUV out for now! Thank you!!
I just realized I watched your videos this year too! We might be out there again in 26.. we got some Feathered Friends sleeping bags instead of quilts! ☺️
