      @wenkwenkwenkwenk haha I’m sure you’re not. Haven’t seen how I started. 😅 sure Ableton isn’t designed to record guitars from the concept but rather for live playing. So then sure If I’d want to only do recording I would choose something different. But still there is a “functionality” 🤷🏻‍♂️ 😂 for me it’s quite nicely balanced between all worlds, yet a bit difficult 😬

    Hi there, I am having a weird issue I still can't fix. When my track is ready in Ableton, the sound and the quality is amazing, but when I am exporting it, even by following all the steps I could find on web and YT, I open the exported file on any player and the sound is just not the same as the one I listen in the Ableton, there is a big quality drop. I think it's something I am doing wrong. All my levels are in green, settings should be all good, it sounds great when in Ableton, it sounds much worse outside Ableton in the exported file. Can you help please?

    • @Busiless
      @Busiless  Месяц назад +1

      Hi. No worries. Sure I can try! :) First thing that I'm thinking of would be checking some settings in "Export Audio/Video" Panel. More closely in the Rendering options. What I have here is everything set to "OFF" and most important would be Normalize - OFF. Then super important is the Sample Rate. Make sure it is the same as the project settings. Most likely 44100 or 48000 but make it the same in the Audio Settings - Sample rate, and in the Export panel. Then Always "Encode PCM" set to "ON" and choose file type to WAV or AIFF, Bit Depth 16 or ideally 24 bits, and Dither Triangular. Don't Bother exporting MP3 for now if you are having some issues. These settings should work great, but if in any case the sound is still different then I would look on some codecs that are rendering sound in your music player. WAV should be WAV it is uncompressed and therefore shouldn't sound different. But maybe an audio player has some processing turned on. Try to import your file back to a clean Ableton project and check how does it sound now (of course switch off any Master channel or track effects. Let me know more if that doesn't help :) Cheers 🤘😎

      @francescosottomano7125 Месяц назад

      @Busiless all your suggestions were really helpful, I had something minor in differences. But now it seems to sound better, will try also on Ableton and see if I can fix that too. Noticed though that by manually changing the compression of a recorded track is not clearly audible when in the software, but it definitely is very well audible when file has been exported. Thanks a mill for your help!!

    6:01 is there any way to reduce latency I’m getting insane latency and i can only hear my plugs when I turn monitor on

    • @Busiless
      @Busiless  2 месяца назад

      Hi, yes sure! This seems to be quite a common problem. I'm thinking of a few things you can try: Change the buffer size in the settings, Go to Preferences > Audio and lower your Buffer Size (Samples). A smaller size reduces latency but may increase CPU load, so find a balance that works for you. You might also want to experiment with different types of monitoring. Normally, when listening to effects, there will be a bit of latency, so for recording, you can try switching off the plugin or using direct monitoring on your audio interface.
      Also, make sure you're using an audio interface with updated drivers and that everything in your system works as it should. Lastly, consider disabling other unused plugins that could slow down your CPU, or bounce/freeze tracks that don’t need to be changed anymore. Let me know if this helps, and share some more details about your setup so I can assist you more accurately. All the best! 🤘😎

    How do i get it to connext to St James amp sim? I cant find it on ableton

    • @Busiless
      @Busiless  Месяц назад

      Hi. If the Amp sim is properly installed with VST files and AU files (mac) then it should be visible in Ableton's plugins panel. I didn't try that one yet but here would be some cases why you can't find it. Assuming you're on a Windows, there are probably some problems with paths, so the plugin installed somewhere else than Ableton is usually looking for plugins. You can check that in Ableton's settings in the plugin tab, and then try to see in the Blackstar plugin where it keeps it's files. But if you were on Mac and it happens to be M1 or later chip, Maybe you will be able to find that plugin in the AU plugins instead of VST plugins. Let me know more so I can help :) All the best

    • @Busiless
      @Busiless  Месяц назад

      Hi bro. Sorry to hear that but I’m sure it’s just a matter of a driver and a simple config. Looks like your Ableton doesn’t make any sounds in general. So what I’d do is to check if you have all necessary drivers installed for your USB interface. And if so ( if the same interface works fine with other DAW) then just try to configure it in the audio output settings. If that still doesn’t help, try downloading ASIO4ALL drivers ( just google it) they aren’t perfect but it will let you test if things are working. Here’s a little guide I found remotify.io/no-sound-ableton-live/ Other options would be contacting with Ableton support, or the interface manufacturer support. they will try to help. But if not, let me know on my instagram @busiless.music we can talk there. All the best and let me know 🤘😎

    • @Busiless
      @Busiless  8 месяцев назад

      Hi if you record on a DAW you normally record only a raw signal. If you just switch the plugin off you’ll hear just a raw sound. You can swap presets plugins afterwards. Unless you did it some other way that you play through a standalone app and record it somehow there, then the signal may be already with the effects. Let me know how do you track it 🤘😎

    • @Busiless
      @Busiless  3 месяца назад +1

      Something wrong with audio input in Ableton. You can hear the guitar probabkly with the "Direct Monitor" button switched on so you can hear the sound straight from the input to the speakers/headphones but Ableton isn't given the proper input. Or there's something wrong with the drivers.

Any advice on how can I hear the output audio in this case? Many thanks.

    • @Busiless
      @Busiless  7 месяцев назад

      @javidmammadli5713 glad it worked. Well Focusrite USB Asio will work if you have a Focusrite usb interface then it should be possible to send audio to the interface and to speakers or headphones. But If you are using your pc sound card, then you have to have appropriate drivers installed and then the audio device will show in the output device menu. Note that without the interface you will probably have a bit of latency (delay) between what you play and what you hear. But just experiment and see if there are any devices visible in the menu with different drivers.

      Hi. I have read about these problems relating to older versions of Ableton Live but there is a solution you can try. Create another audio track and try to copy your recording to that new track. If it works you can just try recording on that new track and see there. If that was the case, you can then create a fresh template with only new audio tracks. Also basic stuff, check if the Track Activator is on (the orange button with number on it in the track mixer. You can read more about it here: forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?t=181811

    • @Busiless
      @Busiless  5 месяцев назад

      Hi. Yep that can happen, what you can do is that Ableton has a low latency mode in the settings, try that. Also when you're recording try turning off the monitoring and listen without effects from your audio interface's direct monitoring (if you have that option). Also try freezing other midi tracks, you can unfreeze them later.

      It could be a lot of things unfortunately. But in general if you hear the sound of the guitar in the Ableton correctly but it records bad it can be something with audio settings (sample rate 44100 or 48000khz are usually ok) or bit rate in record settings (24 or 16 will be good to test) warping ( set it to off ) or in the worst case CPU or hard drive (least possible). But if you already hear bad audio before recording then it may be also hardware ( interface, cable, guitar) check and let me know 🤘😎 hope it helps

      Hi. Could that be because of the new cable? Other than that it can be multiple of things like grounding of strings, pickups, possibly some power cord making interference when placed near a guitar cable. Also an audio interface can be faulty. Try to do some troubleshooting eliminating what works good, you'll get to what doesn't work.

    • @Busiless
      @Busiless  10 месяцев назад

      @thetruthbytrey guitar rig is basically an effect plugin so it needs a source of sound to process. It won’t play or make guitar sounds unfortunately. The MIDI compatibility would probably mean that you can map some knobs on your MIDI keyboard to effects and control it that way. What you could do is to put a plugin that makes clean guitar sounds (or a sample, or any vst synth) and process it through guitar rig. Maybe even try to load guitar rig on an audio track and send a microphone in to see if it works (use headphones due to feedback though). Let me know if that makes sense 🤘😎
