look i like Shen Yue especially in Meteor Garden (2018) and Another Me , she performed well in A love so Beautiful (however despite everyone love for that show i think its overhyped) BUT i really hope this show is not successful IF its bad , because 'Star Power' i.e. good / popular actors/actresses are making script writers lazier resulting in awful plot holes, forced arcs and overly abrupt endings in decent/good shows and rehashes of mediocre shows

One of my favorite books (series of 8-9 books) is Anne of Green Gables, but this year during lockdown, I saw "Anne with an E" which is based on those books, but in many ways, there were stories within it that had nothing to do with the book... for some, it was an issue, for me it wasn't. The series was excellent that I was disappointed it only had 3 seasons and I actually loved the little stories added. I've already seen a movie version close to the original so I had no problem with them taking the original story and embellishing it. Though for some Hana Yori Dango could be considered the original also because there was a movie with that name that came out prior to MG2001, it was in 1995; but still, a movie isn't the same as series that has a lot more details.
Just in 2021 discovered MG 2001 and then became a fan of Jerry... Now ended up here Although I have seen Korean version of MG, Taiwanese one is classic one ... Jerry is only Dao Ming si for me

Jerry Yan has great Charisma on screen. He's able to project intensity, attraction, anxiousness, or calm presence just by his expressions. He creates the mood just by being in the room. He acting capability is just in a whole different stratosphere compared to the other actors on screen.

I agree with the previous commentary on the aforementioned tub scene ... as a critical thinker 🤔, my first few thoughts were --- 1) I wonder if the scar is cosmetic for the role? It has to be !! ... because that area of skin and muscle would undergo much pain whenever exercising, any movement would pull on the muscle and nerve fibers, 2) I wonder if his skin was hot under the theater lights? 3) I wonder how hard it was to get out of a dry tub covered in body oil?, one wrong move or slip and you would be seriously injured, such as, cracking your jaw on the edge of the tub, or, falling on your hip on that rigid ceramic wrought iron tub ... [ true story, NOT making this up... took care of an elderly man who broke his femur, the thigh bone, while simply walking out of his shower ], 4) how many hours 🤔 multiplied by x number of days per week 🤔 multiplied by x number of calories and protein consumed daily 🤔 does it take to stay in that shape?? ❓❓ takes intense discipline and will-power to wake up each day and say to self, "I'm going to K.O. this workout in the first round" ... my brothers who were in the military would comment, "this dude got Skills !!" My comment, 100% respect for this actor!
We need more Chinese drama series like this one . This was perfect in terms of script and acting . The actors did an amazing job. I've watched many Chinese dramas before but wasn't a fan of any one in particular . However, this one I've been watching over and over . The script was excellent as well as the acting If they make more like these ...i think the actors will capture an international audience

My mom would always be very upset if she heard anyone saying they ‘Hate’ someone….I am 61yrs old and have never used the word. I don’t think anyone should say they hate an actress just because!! These actors/actresses are portraying characters for dramas and comedies etc for their daily Job….I see lots of negative comments on RUclips about hating their characters so they hate that actor/actress….🤷♀️

I can't stop myself from commenting on how much I liked this series. I just wanna appreciate the character of the male main lead who was played by Jerry Yan. There's a lot to learn about the character from the clothes he wears states how simple he is (there might be other reasons being the series perspective) but strictly speaking, from the beginning being as a bossy , then being as a friend and childish to the understanding partner. I just can't keep my eye away and the way he shows his expressions in different situations that are top. Character itself is a different and Jerry yan playing it is next level. I hope there should be a season 2 or he must play more of this kind of plays or action (which suits him best).

Published Author's Review: I started this drama because if Shen Yue. After seeing her in meteor garden and a love so beautiful I wanted to watch her in a more mature role. I really do appreciate her acting skills. I love how she's never willing to back down from a fight and no matter who mocks her she always has a smile on her face. I believe this actor really complimented her role. Maybe because he is more mature than Shen's other mls. Although I loved the way their relationship developed I would've loved to see some more intimacy between especially seeing that the ml was older than her. Supporting cast was great. Chemistry between the couple was ok. The back story of the ml was quite touching. I felt his pain and it made me understand why he was the way he was. All in all I enjoyed watching this drama I would rate it 8.5/10 only because of the lack of intimacy.

My mom would always be very upset if she heard anyone saying they ‘Hate’ someone….I am 61yrs old and have never used the word. I don’t think anyone should say they hate an actress just because!! These actors/actresses are portraying characters for dramas and comedies etc for their daily Job….I see lots of negative comments on RUclips about hating their characters so they hate that actor/actress….🤷♀️
I am so glad they used his voice for the drama! It sounds better in Taiwanese dramas but I’m glad it wasn’t a voice over! Loved him since Meteor Garden!

I can't stop myself from commenting on how much I liked this series. I just wanna appreciate the character of the male main lead who was played by Jerry Yan.
There's a lot to learn about the character from the clothes he wears states how simple he is (there might be other reasons being the series perspective) but strictly speaking, from the beginning being as a bossy , then being as a friend and childish to the understanding partner. I just can't keep my eye away and the way he shows his expressions in different situations that are top.
Character itself is a different and Jerry yan playing it is next level.
I hope there should be a season 2 or he must play more of this kind of plays or action (which suits him best).

Published Author's Review: I started this drama because if Shen Yue. After seeing her in meteor garden and a love so beautiful I wanted to watch her in a more mature role. I really do appreciate her acting skills. I love how she's never willing to back down from a fight and no matter who mocks her she always has a smile on her face. I believe this actor really complimented her role. Maybe because he is more mature than Shen's other mls. Although I loved the way their relationship developed I would've loved to see some more intimacy between especially seeing that the ml was older than her. Supporting cast was great. Chemistry between the couple was ok. The back story of the ml was quite touching. I felt his pain and it made me understand why he was the way he was. All in all I enjoyed watching this drama
I would rate it 8.5/10 only because of the lack of intimacy.
Shen Yue missed you gurl! Seriously I hope you have many more drama as Lead.!
