I love MDT chassis but I see two points for improvement: this one (same as mine) has no thumb rest and the cheek piece is on the way to extract the bolt and using the cleaning rod.
@ maybe foldable or with offset supports for the cheek piece. In my case I had to put higher scope mounts so the cheek piece is higher and I could extract the bolt
@@rafarodmir7492it takes seconds to adjust it out of the way. On my Howa short action 6CM on an ACC chassis, I don't even do that. The bolt comes back under the cheekpiece and I pivot the front up and out. The ACC on the CZ seems to have lost the thumb rest to make way for that safety catch. Perhaps the catch is the new thumb rest? I note the chassis shown here is 3 M-lock slots shorter on the fore end too! So, a one off for CZ and not the same spec as an off-the shelf ACC!
The explanation is that the higher BC bullet has a greater ability to leave the danger area. 6.5 CM can be used where a danger area template exists for 338 Lapua Magnum.
@ Thanks for the reply it just amazes me it’s taken all this time to now be a problem as they have been used for a long time with no obvious complications but thanks anyway
@@jameshalpin1580it's not made DIO popular! Their ranges, their rules I suppose. There are other 6.5 calibres a 6.5 CM barrel could be rechambered to, however.....
I shall just keep using my 6.5x55 and 260's which slightly exceed the creedmoor i had anyway. I had an unsubstantiated sniff of this idiotic ban earlier in the year and was selling mine anyway but I'm still a little shocked it actually came true, it's ridiculous when other 6.5's are still allowed within velocity and energy regulations
@@chrisparkin431brakes are no problem for the MOD, and they are allowed at NRA ranges with the consent of the shooter alongside. They are common in modern disciplines such as Civilian Service Rifle and PRS, but the traditional target shooters hate them.😃
From the NRA; "Muzzle Brakes Please be aware whenever a muzzle brake is likely to be used during your shoot it is a requirement to inform the range office at the time of booking. Muzzle brakes can disrupt the neighbouring shooters and as such when requested the range office will allocate a lane away from non-muzzle brake users. If the range office are not told at the time of booking this can cause upset to other shooters as well as delays in your own shooting due to additional admin duties required. On busy days it may not be possible to permit the use of a muzzle brake and therefore you may be asked to remove it or pay a surcharge for the additional safety lane." Basically, when booking casual lanes, you are put with the other naughty boys and girls! In practical matches using firearms with brakes, it is stated in the CSR/PR handbook that you will have to put up with them.🙂
God the NRA are a bunch of moaners and elitists they're what makes shooting in the UK more elitist and puts off more new comers. The licensing situation is enough of a hurdle without all these extra steps. Like if i go to a casual range day and the guy next to me has a 300wm and a brake, so be it. They're guns they go bang deal with it or book a private range day.
That's lovely. Can't wait to see the full review. Trying to convince myself to get a 308 😁

Sellier&Bellot 10,9g 169gr with the factory muzzle brake at 100-meters 5-shot's gave a nice 0.34 MOA
Yes got that news of the 6.5. Reed ban also a pain as I’ve just got one added to my ticket and no real explanation for the ban from landmark

Great looking rifle. Looking forward to the full review. That muzzle break looks like it was on a WW2 anti tank rifle 😂😂.
